I am running claymore 6.2 on linux, ubuntu 14.04. 2 r9 280x and one r9 270.
hashrate seems a little bit low, but not much to complain about. but it seems more stable than 5.3 version.

About ADL in GPU-PRO drivers, just found a beautiful answer:

ADL is not supported in the amdgpu-pro driver. The same functionality can be accessed via standard Linux interfaces (e.g., hwmon for temperature and fan control, sysfs for clock control, etc..
...

So AMD decided not to worry about ADL support in new drivers for Linux. Excellent solution.

Check Core Voltage in MSI Afterburner.
Check fans really work.
Relax and return it to store, because it can be the chip degradation. And it cannot be fixed then. Only refund or change. I have got an MSI card with symptoms like yours. Unfortunately, it is from a flee market.

Fans work, checked voltage...
Problem is I bought it second hand used, no return possible Sad

EDIT: -li does help a bit, I'm losing on hash speed but at least temps are better.

Try these drivers, I not sure if they work on 970's, mainly for 1070's and 980's

Follow the readme file, you need to swap an Nvidia file are extracting drivers to the C drive on Windows

Yesterday I guess it was pool - related... because it happend when sia.nanopool stoped working, but one of my cards is a little faulty as you can see..
In event viewer I can saw:
Display driver amdkmdap stoped responding, but recover stability (but after that my miner hangs so I had to make hard reset)

Another strange thing is that works better before I upgraded to 6.2...

Claymore - what do I need to change on my Stratum Server to satisfy your miner.

I've been playing with Sammy007's pool software and testing a few simple things.

When I choose your miner, it barks about a local pool or solo miner...what gives?

What ETH hashrate are 7970 and 280x cards produce these days ?
I found some old hw laying around today and got hem running in a hurry right before my nightshift.

Driver: 15.12
OS: Win 8.1

Using:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

I get:
7970: 17.5Mhs
280x: 15.8Mhs
@stock clocks.

Overclcocking memory does not seem to have any hash increase on any of the cards using afterburner.

The cards should do over 20Mhs on ETH right ?
