any plan to add different algos for dual mining?

It will be possible to dual ethash with cryptonight or equihash??

Not possible. They stress both the core and memory.

I see, and do you know what kind of algo could be used to dual to replace the previous ones?

Having some stability issues that I think is down to oc settings. One or two of my rx580s seem to run a bit hot (70C) and occasionally crash or claymore crashes. Current oc settings are 1150/2000 with 820mv across the board. I'm happy enough to sacrifice a little hashrate for stability and lower temps.

Any ideas?

I think you pretty much answered your own question. Not all cards are created equal, it can be a bit of a lottery even with 'identical' cards.
You'll probably just have to accept a lower hashrate from the renegade card.

Yeah, that's what I suspected. Thanks for that. If I'm aiming for stability, where should i start? Mem clock, core clock or voltage?

Does anybody mine with 2gb cards ?? İf yes which coins and are they profitable ? Ubiq and Exp are at the edge ı think then what to do with these cards ??

get rid of them, they use too much power and give too little hashrate for any algo.

Hey guys, is dual mining dead?
They just ship Baikal Giant-B and all the dual coin profit just drop ~90%
dcr, sia mining is dead, but only one pascal asic atm

so pascal is still good for dual mining

Doesn't Baikal Giant-B also mine pascal as well? Am I missing something?

Baikal mines all 4 coins, decred, sia, pascal and libry .. the most profitable of them all in terms of speed is libry .. which price at is soooooooooooooooooooo low .. worst profitable is pasc .. so that's why it is still profitable

blake 14r / decred - 160GH
Blake 2b / sia - 80GH
Lbry - 40GH
Pascal - 40GH

For AMD cards, Catalyst (Crimson) 15.12 is required for best performance and compatibility. You can get very bad results for different drivers version, or miner can fail on startup.
For AMD 4xx/5xx cards (Polaris) you can use any recent drivers.

Not sure I got that right  Grin

I have 7 RX 580 8 GB. Which drivers will be the most efficient?

For AMD 4xx/5xx cards (Polaris) you can use any recent drivers.

So just use the newest driver. Make sure to set everything to compute mode.

Thanks. So the Adrenalin Edition 18.1.1 from there.

I have a bunch of MSI Aero 560 ITXs.  They work great in Claymore 10.4 (Ubuntu 16.04 LTS), but I have noticed that every now and then when a GPU hangs or crashes, it tries to reinitialize all the cards and start computing again.

This is what should happen, however it seems like it doesn't clear the DAG from the 560s GPU cache/ram, so when it reinitializes, it shows up as 1.7GB memory per card, instead of 4GB.  This seems like what is happening since the DAG is about 2.2GB right now, so that works out perfectly math wise.

This results in claymore hanging and turning into a defunct process.  I have tried killing the pid, kill -9, etc, but the only way I have found to fix this is to reboot, which isn't the best solution.  Does anyone know how to clear the GPU cache/RAM w/o rebooting?

This only happens on RX 560s btw.  I have 570s and 580s running that don't experience this issue.

Claymore any ideas?

Is there a way to forcefully clear it by writing certain values to /sys/class/drm/cardX?

Thanks.

I agree ASIC is killing GPUs mining on these coins. I was mining between 500/1000 SIA coins a day, now it takes days. Since December, ASICs miners came online and difficulty skyrocket! So dual mining with these coins is not worth anymore.

Any plans for Claymore to add different algo to the dual mining list?

Today I’ve noticed on my 7 RX 580 Rig that the Remote Manager link disconnects every few minutes when mining. I just recently increased my mclock to 2175 from 2150 on all but 2 cards. ETHI is 16, DCRI is 18. Clock is 1150, cvddc & mvddc 925. I have XFX XXX 8GB cards. Could the mclock increase be causing this?

XFXs are good cards but bit sensitive to memory temps. So, yes, mclock now heats them up. Lowering overall temp can help ( big powerful fan etc...)
