I am sad to see that many people now have experienced the issues I have reported within the first few hours of Claymore V.10.0:
Sometimes miner can't reach maximum speed. I open the miner, clocks and voltages are being set properly but hashrate lies in the 225mh/s area. A simple miner restart resolves the issue
Computer freezes. This has happened 2 times in my rig and 1 time in my PC (same setup with 1 gpu only) in the last 2 days
For those that read the thread daily, you may remember I put great efforts in gathering other user's symptoms and finding the cause of the second problem (the freeze problem),
in this post. I concluded that:
My "verdict" is that sometimes when the miner starts it causes a power consumption spike, which may be above your rig's max power. For me it happened almost always after a connection loss and sometimes after a gpu hang.
If you experience rig freezes with blockchain drivers and Claymore v.10.0, the miner could be causing spikes that are beyond your PSUs capabilities
As I said, I am not happy to see that those problems are getting noticed by more users everyday. For myself, lowering the voltages seems to did the trick but I still experience some freezes now and then (I guess that I didn't lower them enough).
I am hoping that with so many cases around, Mr. Claymore can verify the existence of the problem.
What I would like to hear from Mr. Claymore is if there are any thoughts for a solution and what I would love to hear is an ETA if one exists.
