I can't seem to connect to the supernova's decred wallet.  None of my miners can send anything to it this morning.  Anyone else having this issue?  I can't even log on to the wallet to see what could be wrong.
I had the same issue with one of my miners.  I gave up on it an switched to coinmine.pl library.  Done with Suprnova for now.  I dont know whats up.

Thanks.  I am actually trying to learn linux at the same time.  i tried 'sudo' but must be doing something wrong.  Will give it another go.

Thank you.
... just wow.. Do you intend to put this in your CV when you learn it?

Thanks for the input Smiley but i am getting nowhere on ubuntu.

1.  I copied the "export" commands exactly as I found them in Claymore 9.8 from the sample scripts. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
2.  I still can't get the fanmin command to work. It needs root access - how do I do that in Ubuntu?
Cheers!

for root access, use sudo.
think about editing sodoers or better create a file in sudoers.d
https://superuser.com/questions/869144/why-does-the-system-have-etc-sudoers-d-how-should-i-edit-it

I made it work since long with following :
Ubuntu 16.04.3 latest update/dist-upgrade
ROCm kernel (and rocm-smi)
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.21305411
https://www.reddit.com/r/EtherMining/comments/6wsf7o/new_amd_blockchain_optimized_drivers_availible/
Amdgpu-pro latest version
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMDGPU-PRO-Driver-for-Linux-Release-Notes.aspx

for the properties, since long I have one difference that nobody have acknowledged (strange, does not work with 64BIT PTR 0)
export GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=1
export GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=100
export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
export GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
(set variable for for bash script, it is probably different for some other shell)

mclock and vddc/vddci have no effect on my miner (need VBIOS edit by PolarisBioseditor or SRBPolaris) , but fanmin tt ttli works perfectly.
it is a know problem because the AMD drivers on linux are limited  and no more compatible with ADL lib.
maybe ROCm is better, but i did not test since I migrated to ROCm kernel.

note that even if you really change mclock, if you dont edit the bios to change the 2000MHz memory strips to lower frequency (1750MHz, 1625MHz, or even 1500 if you are lucky... or use Ubermix strips like what latest jaschaknack PolarisBiosEditor https://github.com/jaschaknack/PolarisBiosEditor )...

If you don't know linux well, It may not be the best to use Linux for mining, ans Windows is very well supported (better than Linux).

Thanks.  I am actually trying to learn linux at the same time.  i tried 'sudo' but must be doing something wrong.  Will give it another go.

Cards are Asus Dual OC Rx 580 8GB 1260/2050/-125 to -150mV

Anyone?

Hi again! With new amd bc drivers (23 aug) and Clay 10.0 I flashed UberMix 3.1 straps to these cards (Asus Dual OC). They are working fine but 1162/1960/900mV - 28 mh per card.

Sudden OpenCL errors happens.

I think, we have to calm down and wait for new Clay release

Hey!

I'm using aug11 blockchain drivers which are essentially the same with aug23 except it doesn't have support for Vegas (don't care). I'm using a custom strap from dorey mills and I get 29.3 max per card. Weird as I can get this going for a long time, it's just after restart it gives me hiccups like these and I want to eliminate that from my routine.

I use Claymore v9.8.

Need help from Ubuntu experts

Hi!  I need some help from Ubuntu experts.  I set up a test rig using the Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 on Windows 10, using Afterburner to do some mild overclocking - Stable on Claymore 9.8 with customised fan profile.  I flashed the bios with the Hynix timing straps and I am getting around 24mhs, which is not bad, but not great either.   It is stable.

However, when I tried set up an Ubuntu environment (16.04), I can get it stable at standard clock rates - however it crashes when I raised the clock rate using the flashed bios with the overclocked memory that works well in windows.   The fan seems to be kicking in very late, and I was getting 76 degrees at 25% fan.

Here's a list of my questions that I hope the Ubuntu/Claymore experts can help with as I am a beginner in Ubuntu:

1.  I tried using the -tt and -fanmin command in Claymore.  I get the error message "Failed to set new fan speed, check if miner has root access!".   How do I set the miner to have root access?   Right now, I am starting the miner with the command in terminal "./mine.sh", where mine.sh is the claymore start file.

2.  I am getting a list of error messages off the standard environment variables in Claymore.  As below:

"alvin@cryptominer-one:~/Desktop/Claymore98$ ./mine.sh
./mine.sh: line 1: export: `0': not a valid identifier
./mine.sh: line 2: export: `100': not a valid identifier
./mine.sh: line 3: export: `1': not a valid identifier
./mine.sh: line 4: export: `100': not a valid identifier
./mine.sh: line 5: export: `100': not a valid identifier?

Appreciate some insights into the above.

3.  -mclock 2100 doesn't seem to have any impact on the hash rate (standard is 2000).   Am I using it correctly?

4.  How do I monitor GPU status in Ubuntu?  Aticonfig doesn't seem to work.

Thanks!

1 - Check your script, seems you are not using the export properly.
2 - Check the FAQ,  it's supported in Linux.
3 - You won't get exactly what you have in Win, you have to check different sources to get some of that info.

@claymore, how can i reset the overclocking of your program? where ca i find it? regedit? I mean, I had to change its name to reset the settings.

There is no simple way to restore default clocks. You can reinstall drivers, or do it via WattMan, also in most cases drivers apply default clocks after GPU driver crash.
And next time use "set" not "setx" in .bat...

when i mine ETH with 5X RX470 i am getting 130 mh/s

but when i mine ETC with same 5X RX470 i am getting only 115 mh/s

why 15 mh/s  diffrence?

what drivers are u using, if you are using something other then block chain drivers then that is the answer as ETC is on a higher DAG then ETH

i am using 16.12.12 driver

can u suggest me which is good driver for my RX 470 4gb?

I've noticed, that my rx580 likes -dcri 5 in ethereum only. But it's not about your case, sorry

Thanks for your help, I will play a little with -dcri values because, you are right, asm is enabled by default. I can also see some little improvement on ETH MH/s when I enable Dual Mining.

In any case, I think I will improve a little my hashes reported but no calculated ones... I really have no idea why that huge drop.

Hi there,
Are those drops related with Drivers, Mining SW, Card config or Pool?
Thanks!

value for -dcri option?

Single Mining since some weeks now. -asm & -dcri @default values.

Hi there,
Do you guys have an idea about what is going on with my rig?
In here an image from Nanopool Hasrate Calculated vs Reported
https://imgur.com/a/Jw5Fe

I have latest Blockchain Drivers (23Aug) and Claymore v10. My rig config is 7x580 Sapphire+ 8G

As you can see on the image I have several drops along the day on Calculated hashrate (normally hard-resseting is enough, but not always...), and my system used to be stable as a rock! I have BIOS mod with optimal timings and OC memories (each one fine tunned to have 0 errors), UC GPU to 1130MHz and UV GPU to -96mV.

Are those drops related with Drivers, Mining SW, Card config or Pool?

Thanks!

ETH+DCR RX 580 8GB Nitro+

My personal sweet spot is  -cclock 1140 -mclock 2150 -cvddc 850 -mvddc 875.
For those voltages, I have to lower mclock for some cards.
I prefer those voltages because I have high price of kWh in my country (~0.3$)

Hi!

Could anyone share with me a good stable cc+mc+mv settings for dual ETH+DCR mining? I have 7xRX580 nitro+limited e. bios moded cards.

Thanks in advance.

I have exact same problem with stability with new versions. After 2-3 restarts everything is OK but after random interval of time the instability is fact.

So i have this weird problem.

My rig works fine with its current setup (Claymore 9.8, aug11 blockchain drivers, WIn10 7310) and has ran for 7 days nonstop, till I had to restart it.

First, GPUs 0 to 5 would be detected, then after 30 seconds GPU5 will show zero hashrate. Eventually 10 seconds later, it would hang. Then if it didn't froze on me, I would restart Claymore.

Sometimes Claymore restarts automatically when this happens, and I see a popup message on the lower right saying "AMD Radeon has been restored to default settings..."

Most of the time, after I see that error message and Claymore has restarted, All 6 GPUs would hash properly and run fine. Half the time, I had to do 3-4 restarts for it to work again.

But I just want to narrow down which is really causing the issue. I'm using new risers, tried changing usb cable, 6-pin sata power, but still the same issue.

Interesting note:
Of all 6 cards that GPU5 only is the single card that takes -150mV and still run fine. GPU-z shows .9375mV after the -150mV has been applied.

Cards are Asus Dual OC Rx 580 8GB 1260/2050/-125 to -150mV

Anyone?
