Claymore 9.8

In june with my rig i got 240 MH/s to 242 MH/s, i change nothing and now, 3 month later the MH/s drop 230 MH/s, i tried aug 23 blockchain driver, the result, i got 248 MH/s, but unfortunately i met issue with stabilty not good.
On this topic I read this "It should be higher. Try increasing the -ethi to 8. My eight card mixed RX 570/570 4GB/8GB rig is getting 28.5 to almost 30 MH/s dual mining UBQ."

What is this setting? -ethi to 8

It's the ETH instensity. The command line options are listed in the readme and the OP.

Hello Vann, this setting is not specified actually in my bat, do you think it can be change something if i had it?

It depends on the card what seting gives the best result. The default value is 8. Only way to know is to add it and try different values.

Recently bios modded two 4g rx 470's and afterburner adjustments. They both run at 27 mh/s but a couple times a saw them both, at the same time go up to 28.5 for a minute. Is something holding them back from staying at 28.5?

I am a meat Popsicle
So, i readed much posts and i am confused little, is latest claymore miner works with win7 blockchain drivers or what is best to use to have back results on our RX 400/500 models back to 30mh/s ?
I know there was much argue about that but there was also much incorrect answers so what is final conclusion, because i refuse to use win10, only win7.
What must be used to work with undervolt and etc?
There is nothing that will work with win 7 in combination with the new block chain driver. it has an issue under windows 7 if you want to use it you will need windows 10
Your only solution is to mine another Ethash coin that is on a lower dag

I tested the blockchain drivers on one of rigs when they first came out but the increase of MH/s compared to increased wattage made it not worth it me.

I am very excited about V10.0! I spent about 8 hours last time trying to get the last drivers to work and lost a lot of hashtime.

I have a few questions.

Does the -cvddc and -mvddc commands work for the RX5xx series cards? I noticed in the readme from the correct versions and many of the past versions that this feature only works in the RX4xx series. Has the program been updated to work with the RX5xx series and this note is just outdated.

I have modified all of my BIOS myself with my limited understand and I hear people talking about setting the core clock, memory clock and voltages in the BIOS. I have a few questions about this.

For the core clock I assume that is under the GPU tab. This tab has a list of values which I assume to be the different states; should I be changing all the values except maybe the first one? or first 2? Does the last entry under GPU determine what the miner will use for clockspeed?

I thought I read somewhere that Claymore could use a high mV value from a previous state so I guess I should set them the same right? Should I also set all the GPU values the same? Except the first and possibly the second? Some clarification would be nice.

The same questions for memory clock. In the VBIOS there are usually only 3 fields; 300, 1000, 1750. Would I just change the 1750 value to what I want my memory clock speed to be?

Besides lowering the mV in the GPU and memory does it do any good to lower the amounts under POWERTUNE like TDP, TDC, Max Power Limit? What are the effects on Power Control Limit%?

Since I have had major problems with setting these commands in Claymore I thought it would be easier and save so much time to do all this in the BIOS.

So I have been using the latest Claymore version since it came out.
My rig:
ASUZ Prime Z270-P
8x RX 580 8GB Nitro+ (Hynix)
Windows 10
Blockchain Beta Official Drivers
Claymore Dual Miner v.10.0
Modded BIOS, OC through Claymore @162w from the wall per card
Dual mining ETH (233 Mh/s) +DCR (7000 Mh/s)

Try to set original ROM, remove overclock and see if it helps, this way you can check that the reason is in your settings.
If your rig freezes, it must be something related to overclock, like wrong voltage for some power states, or something similar. It is not miner issue.

On another note, the new blockchain driver raise the power usage of your cards alot. If your mod was tight you may have to change some things like power limit or max temp.

@claymore - Still have the issue even in 10. that If an instance of has more than 3 AMD cards I crash my Win 10 (I am running 7Nvidia 1070s and 5 AMD 580s (2 4mb 3 8mb)

What kind of logsdo we need to get?

I've changed Drivers.

I've reinstalled Windows.

I've rolled back Drivers and gone as far back to 9.4.

And ideas would be amazing I'd like to get allmy cards working again.

No have people here who have Vega 64 Huh

pls share hashrate - real hashrate

Those numbers have been posted a number of times already.

I'm running vega FE (essentially RX Vega 64) and I can hold a constant 42.1Mh/s if weather permits.  My house is over 45C inside right now, so i've got mine turned down to keep temps in check.

AFAIK, the Vega FE is a Workstation card that uses a different 'HBC' memory caching system, intended to work with large files in memory compared to the gaming cards which are optimized to produce the highest frame rates. The underlying architecture may be the same, but they are definitely not the same cards. Which is also why the Workstation cards cost almost double what the Vega gaming do.

To the best of my limited knowledge the only difference between them is how much HBM2 they have.

my rig has 6 rx 580 8G
Currently dual mining ETH + DCR
I can OC ETH to 170 but the GPU crashes sometimes
so it is running stable around 164mh/s
But the total watt to run dual is around 1120W ... I am afraid it may run over 1200 ( which is my PSU's capability ) ...
Could someone share their  total Watt when dual mining :d

1200W PSU is capable to draw 5-8% more from the wall up to 1300W comfortably.
This is what 92-95% efficiency means.

Somebody had noticed that when write "-erate" and "-estale" commands on start.bat the reported hashrate disappears on ethermine.org? I had to delete both commands and ethermine shows the reported hashrate again.

How many of them do you have?
Have you checked HWInfo for memory errors on your cards?
What is your power consumption per card?
What are your overclock / undervolt settings?

Well I only have Hynix ones but those numbers does not sound too bad..
If I would change something I would increase the -dcri parameter in order to reach 900mh on DCR (the sacrifice in ETH actually has a minor stability benefit - less fluctuations- at least for me)

These speeds are with Elpida 4gpus

These speeds are with Hynix 4gpus

Windows 7, Robinhood drivers, AB 4.4.0 beta 16, Claymore miner v10.0
My core clocks  are locked at 1300MHz for both rigs and no matter what I put in AB it won't change a thing, so I change it in batch file with -cclock
My -dcri value is 25 I think it's best for me.

Is ETH+LBC dual mining more profitable with a new v10.0 miner?
Thanks

Can someone give me the link for afterburner beta 16 please?

What the heck... is it just me or there are no pages for beta 16 download. I went all the way through my download folder to find a link for AB beta 16 lol
Here you go buddy...when you open it just click on the refresh button and it will start to download.

Plenty of people here have Vega 64. I encourage you to search and check other threads.
Cards are very heat sensitive. Running ETH only right now, I hit between 39-40 mh/s when cards are around 63c using drivers 17.8.2
