what update you made with this? did you patch the aug 23 blockchain driver? what is your core and mem clock? so with the undervolt if you did? pls share. thanks

Could you give the link where i can download the patch for the aug 23 blockchain driver? Thank you.

installed the driver from ati and used atikmdag patcher, then used afterburner to set each card to -48mv everything else is default

i need a usage monitor for atw though

Ok, thank you for your reply, i see you use AB 4.4.0 beta 12, and you have 5 gpu's.
In my side i have 8 gpu's and i use AB 4.4.0. beta 15 and 16, may be i need to try AB 4.4.0 beta 12.

I found why i have issue jumping 1000 MHz to 1305 MHz gpu clock speed with the 23 aug blockchain driver, it is the AMD tool that switch the frequency 1000 MHz to 1305 MHz.
May be the solution is to turn off this AMD tool?

Hi,
I have a rig with a 6 RX480. When the miner strats one of my card is with a speed 24 Mh/s. If I stop mining with this card and if I enable mining a few sec later - the speed goes up - 29 Mh/s.
Why it can't start with a big speed?

Marginally better hash rates with 1060's and 1070's.

Increase of 0.05 - 0.1.

So that is about 0.1 to 0.3% increase. How about the power consumption?

Anyone tried new versions with mixed rig? I have 3 470 and 3 480 and still see not everyone satisfied with.

I've got a mixture of 580's & 480's all running fine for about 3 hours now if that helps:

What do you guys think of the up coming hard fork this month? This one guy on youtube litereally said, mining is dying for Ethereum because the difficulty is going to go up 'exponentially.'
I think he's over his head, because switching to POS that quickly is unrealistic. Seeking opinions on this.

here's a link to the article about the metropolis update https://cointelegraph.com/news/update-on-ethereum-metropolis-from-core-dev-meeting

First will come difficulty bomb and then hard fork. Someone said around 30-40% in total. But yet again we are expecting the price to compensate our much harder work Wink
Those who mined eth earlier will benefit even more. Aaahhh mining is so good Smiley.
I started recently, but I am not complaining Cool

So I guess, people already mining will keep mining even if the difficulity goes up, which diminishes mining profits, hoping that the price would go up in the future.  Cheesy
Lol

ETH is not the only one which could be mined I believe.

I know, but I think you should stick with one, because the network difficulty changes all the time.

What's the updated hashrate for 1070?

Latest version is v10.0:

I just discovered a rig that had been crashed (apparently) for three days, but was still drawing the full amount of power and all cards appeared to be running like normal. I've never seen mining software lockup but keep mining or drawing power before. The miner window just showed the usual hash info but the last entry was three days ago. First time with Claymore, that's for sure. Was v9.8. I'll upgrade, but I sure hope a bug like this was fixed in v10. That's a really frustrating situation. I use temperatures/power to determine if a rig needs to be reset. Now I guess I have to find a new way, probably using some sketchy email indicator from the pool. How can that even happen?

Same problem here. My screen went black, but everything else was normal. Happened once. If you have many rigs it can be very frustrating.

I have noticed a bug with combo ETH Miner v9.8 + AMD Blockchain Aug23 driver.
If miner looses connection to a pool, after reconnection hashrate significially drops.
Restarting the miner solves this problem.
Hasrate before reconnection to pool is ~156MH (26MH x 6 cards) and hashrate after reconnection is ~67MH (7, 11, 11, 7, 11, 18MH).
There was no such a problem with same miner and older drivers.

Claymore, I can send you the log, if it is neccessary.
This problem is still reproducible with CDM v10.0 and the same blockchain driver.
Rigs with 16.7.3 driver works well for 500+ hours.

Normal hashrate:
00:26:41:263   12ac   ETH - Total Speed: 157.527 Mh/s, Total Shares: 269, Rejected: 0, Time: 01:38
00:26:41:278   12ac   ETH: GPU0 26.059 Mh/s, GPU1 26.316 Mh/s, GPU2 26.297 Mh/s, GPU3 26.301 Mh/s, GPU4 26.260 Mh/s, GPU5 26.293 Mh/s
00:26:41:278   12ac    DCR - Total Speed: 4410.745 Mh/s, Total Shares: 810, Rejected: 14
00:26:41:310   12ac    DCR: GPU0 729.664 Mh/s, GPU1 736.848 Mh/s, GPU2 736.329 Mh/s, GPU3 736.429 Mh/s, GPU4 735.283 Mh/s, GPU5 736.192 Mh/s

Then miner looses connection to pool:
00:31:41:744   12ac   Socket was closed remotely (by pool)
00:31:41:744   12ac   ETH: Connection lost, retry in 20 sec...
00:31:42:009   1210   Socket was closed remotely (by pool)
00:31:42:025   1210    DCR: Connection lost, retry in 20 sec...

After reconnection hashrate is ~2x lower:
00:33:03:981   12ac   ETH - Total Speed: 70.921 Mh/s, Total Shares: 293, Rejected: 0, Time: 01:44
00:33:03:997   12ac   ETH: GPU0 16.093 Mh/s, GPU1 11.812 Mh/s, GPU2 11.813 Mh/s, GPU3 11.818 Mh/s, GPU4 11.796 Mh/s, GPU5 7.589 Mh/s
00:33:04:044   12ac    DCR - Total Speed: 1985.794 Mh/s, Total Shares: 855, Rejected: 14
00:33:04:060   12ac    DCR: GPU0 450.611 Mh/s, GPU1 330.748 Mh/s, GPU2 330.755 Mh/s, GPU3 330.902 Mh/s, GPU4 330.287 Mh/s, GPU5 212.491 Mh/s
...
after 9 hours nothing changes, hashrate is still low:
09:09:49:724   12ac   ETH - Total Speed: 72.822 Mh/s, Total Shares: 1865, Rejected: 1, Time: 10:21
09:09:49:724   12ac   ETH: GPU0 19.089 Mh/s, GPU1 10.880 Mh/s, GPU2 11.818 Mh/s, GPU3 11.818 Mh/s, GPU4 11.811 Mh/s, GPU5 7.406 Mh/s
09:09:49:739   12ac    DCR - Total Speed: 2039.024 Mh/s, Total Shares: 4561, Rejected: 71
09:09:49:739   12ac    DCR: GPU0 534.490 Mh/s, GPU1 304.646 Mh/s, GPU2 330.906 Mh/s, GPU3 330.900 Mh/s, GPU4 330.707 Mh/s, GPU5 207.375 Mh/s

Does anyone have the same problem?
[/quote]

Yes I always have the same exact issue, and once the hashrate dropped after losing connection to pool, sometimes your rig will auto-restart or hang in the process of doing so.

When checking log of a rig that's stuck, the last few lines always involve' ''Socket was closed remotely'' and checkread timeout. My rigs are all using ethernet connection and still getting these, maybe it is just the connection in my area.

So far so good with Claymore v.10.0

Dual mining ETH+DCR @ 29.6+880 Mh/s with RX 580 8GB  Nitro+ (Hynix) on Windows 10.

Modded BIOS, OC through Claymore @ 1150/2150 , 850mv/875mv @162w from the wall

So far I am only testing it on my PC with 1 gpu. If it remains stable tomorrow I will also update my rig of 8gpus (same ones) and let you know

Okay so I just updated my rig and things are not going well.

My clocks and voltages are being set properly but my speed has not increased like it did with my PC.

I am still trying to figure it out, but here is some food for thought:

I thought I should check the BIOS of the cards but guess what, ATIFlash will not even open (I am running the UI and it pops an error "encountered an improper argument" then the UI opens (after a looong time) and everything is messed up, buttons not saying what they should and stuff like that

I run the Claymore v9.7 and it manages to keep the voltages stable now! I can only conclude that Claymore v10.0 changed something in the OS in order to handle the voltages and now the "solution" has been applied to all versions

EDIT:
Trixx is now displaying the correct clocks, while in my previous tests (when the blockchain beta was released) this was not working.
I also noticed that changing the voltages in Claymore did not take effect some times. I set 900mv to test, it got it ok. Then went back to 850mv and it kept the 900mv. I restarted Claymore and then it got the 850mv

EDIT 2:
Okay I think I am getting somewhere now. I used  -benchmark 110 and my speed skyrocketed so my speed not changing is definitely a Driver issue.
What I did differently in my rig and PC regarding driver installation, is that in my rig I used a combination of 16.11.5 Drivers and Blockchain Beta official drivers, in order to be able to have more than 5 GPUs. This is something I have been doing for all the previous drivers so far in my rig, but NOT in my PC where I only have 1 card.

So this must be it. Anyone with the same problems and conditions?
Most importantly: can anyone tell us if Blockchain Beta Official Drivers support more than 5-6 GPUS on their own?

The thing is that I no longer have physical access to my RIG until tomorrow, so if I have to re install my drivers I will have to do it without letting DDU to restart in Safe mode. Do you guys thing that this will be ok?

EDIT 3:
OFC I took my changes and reinstalled the drivers without letting DDU getting into safe mode :p
THAT WAS IT!  GPUs speeds vary because I have different clocks so I don't have GPU memory errors, but generally I am between 28.5 and 29.5MH/s with the desired voltages!!!

So, if anyone sees his speed not increasing, make sure you didn't combine your Blockchain drivers with old ones.

Thank you mister Claymore for your work
