my all rigs shown this with red color
cannot allocate big buffer for DAG.
i do update to v15 but no fix my problem
what i must to do ?
thank you

A temporary solution would be to follow the steps given by @Bibicici in the post below:

For everyone getting the cuda dag error for 4gb nvidia cards, download and install and older nvidia driver from 2017 range. Use ddu to wipe current nvidia driver. Current nvidia driver is like 550mb, older nvidia driver from 2017 is like 350mb. You save 200mb in vram. Works for 1050 ti, may not work for 1660 bc newer driver.

On Linux 4GB cards will work longer until reaching the DAG limitation.

Mine what? There is 0 profit. A better solution would be to hang the cards on the wall for decoration.

It's funny that you say to hang a GPU at a wall because I actually have done this.

However I only did it because I couldn't sell the GPU because it had stripped heads while doing a thermal paste swap job and it was one of the first GPUs I've ever bought for mining and used it for years and had a good history with it.

The GPU was a Radeon 6990. It was a beast of a GPU which could pull around 500Watts from a single card. Yes most people got rigs which use 500Watts that GPU could pull 500Watts alone. It even burned 100Watts on idle which is what most GPUs use these days while mining.

Why did I frame the GPU? Because it was one of the firsts and learnt a lot about cryptos and mining and Bitcoin in general. I actually mined Litecoin with it, then Darkcoin (now Dash), then Ethereum, then ZCash and last algo was XMR. So it had a good run and couldn't bear to get rid of it.

or a better solution to sell them and recoup if you do not need it anymore
that is the reason we invested in gpus
right?
because if the time comes when the profitability is zero
we can always sell the cards

Hello Mr. Sir Claymore.

Im using v15 and still having the problem of the DAG file with 1050Ti in w10. Dont know if that is what you are refering

There are 2 distinct problems:

What Claymore warned is that in versions prior to 15.0 the maximum epoch DAG that the software supports is # 299 and ethereum is currently at # 297 so anyone with the outdated miner will stop working soon.

Your case is that your video card has 4GB, DAG is currently allocating 3.32 GB ... but the problem is that Windows 10 also allocates vram and there is no space left to allocate DAG.

One solution is to install older versions of the driver that allocate less vram as commented version 375.57 .. or use linux that doesn't allocate as much memory and there will still be some time left for your 4GB card by mining ethereum.

NOTE: please upgrade to v15.0 as soon as possible, old versions support up to #299 epoch only, they will fail then!
v15.0 supports up to #384 epoch (4GB DAG size).

Claymore is Tref 65k really safe for the memory of the Vega 56/64 . Using your strap function I get really nice result but tREF 65k is bothering me, is it safe? Can memory work for months without any injury?

Will this work? Ubunto i mean? i have to travel to other country to make it happen that why im asking...

Yes, it will definitely work. Windows OS tends to reserve some memory in VGA which limits the total memory usage but it's not the case with Linux.
You can give Ubuntu a try or if it's going to be a hassle for you.
I'll suggest buying a pen drive package with simpleminingOS, set the delivery address for another country, tell the person who maintains the rig to plug it in the system and you'll be able to control it from anywhere in the world.

~snip~

Use Nvidia inspector instead.

Hello friends!

Please help me. What am i doing wrong in controlling undervolting/overclocking of my P106-100 6gb. In CM 15 readme it says it can lower powerlim ,voltages and so on.

But what i have is AB , it can doit, but i hate him. I want to use CM like i doit on reds.

P.S. in bat file ive used and -powlim and -cvddc and so on . It rans on stock no metter. Ive tryed different drivers different CM.

Best regrds.

Well the problem with the 1050ti 4gb continues. Solutions? what else to mine with them?

Use driver version 375.57, it is only 250mb, very first driver for 1050/ti i think. Works for me, if this stops working, only solution is to not use WIN10.

any solutions for GTX1050ti Huh? 4GB all cant mine

 Huh Huh Huh Huh

There won't be a perfect solution for it in Windows but you can always try Ubuntu.
You can use a 16GB Pendrive, install Ubuntu distribution, install Nvidia drivers, download Claymore and run it.
You won't face DAG size issue until it hits 4GB for good this time.

Any new versions soon?

Is there really any reason for a new version? This miner has been relatively stable for years since its original launch. Most versions are small updates or with some added features like the RX boost and what-not.

However its not really possible to get any faster speeds on ETH algo. Pretty much the original ethminer from the ETH mainnet launch gets a similiar speed as Claymore. Sure it doesn't have dual-mine mode and doesn't crash when a new DAG is switched but there really can't be any large speed improvements of this algo.

And right now mining is very unprofitable that most people kept their rigs offline and are waiting for ETH to go to like $400 or at least a ProgPOW push by the ETH devs.

Currently it isn't possible to mine with mixed Hawaii/RX AMD cards, it would be cool to add support for being able to mine with them simultaneously

Well , I think Vega has more potential, I have Vega 56 which hashes with 44 mgh at 852mhz core and 940mhz ddr . At 1500mhz it hashes with 45mgh . There is something that is stopping this card from being the king. It has twice more cores than 5700 but it hashes less. It can't be only the ddr that is limiting the card that much? What do you think Claymore?

The card is fairly old already and if it had some potential then it would of been addressed already. Kind of like that "pill" tweak that sped up those Nvidia GPUs like the 1080Ti.

Right now unless there is some profitability in mining I don't think there will be much developement. Especially since it seems that lots of ETH hashrate is by ASICs these days and most miners just power off their rigs.

We will know in 2020 if we get the ProgPOW algo switch and hopefully there will be profitable GPUs then.
