So Claymore is the only dual miner available? 2 percent fee is a joke, so I kind of wish to get rid of it. This guy is richer than Richie Rich, little reason for him not to make it 1 or even 0,5%
I can't stand moguls, raised by hippies, so I rather lose 1%, than support a selfish person 2%

But hey if there is another dual miner that would be great.

There's no other dual miner so that's why people pay the 2%.  The additional profits offset the dev fee for those inclined to do so.  Supply/Demand.  Why would someone make a dual miner and share it for next to nothing?  They'd probably keep it to themselves to improve their own hashrate.

@Claymore

Whats the criteria for the GPU Identification?  How does claymore determines who is GPU 0 1 2 3 etc?

I need to apply -cvddc to two gpus but not the other 5

Hey Guys,

Can someone solve this problem?

I am mining at Ethermine.org
I have a 7-GPU Rig that reports locally 200 Mh/s
and a 6-GPU RIG that reports locally 174 Mh/s

WHY the 7-GPU RIG has ALWAYS LESS effective hashrate than the 6-GPU RIG?

Both Rigs are connected to the same router, same network

It has nothing to do with luck since i am observing this for over a week now...

Any thoughts??

@claymore: Sir, maybe I found a bug. If I start Ethman and there is any temperature or fan speed warning, then Ethman doesn't show any info about that rig, only rig name and IP:port. (If the warning "happens" later, there is no problem.)

Also @claymore: First thanks for your work, EthMan ist going exactly the direction we need. BUT:
The above mentioned behaviour is even worse: If a rig is in a warning state (tested only with mining speed) - it will NOT detect when the rig goes completely offline and so not trigger the notificatian and external reset. This makes it quite useless in a (not so unusual) number of cases.
Another (maybe related point) is the fact that it does not retrigger the events. Say if the first restart happens and the rig is still offline (i.e. Windows booting into "repair mode") it does not perform a second reset and the rig will stay offline until manual intervention.
Could you please have a look into it? Thank you!

Confirmed, fixed. Since I don't have separate archive for EthMan, I've re-uploaded v9.5 with updated EthMan, please re-download it. In next version I will process all warnings separately and will add own options in GUI for every event, so for example you can setup warning for fan speed to see it in the list of miners, but disable starting .BAT or/and email for this event.

Thank you very much!

hi Guys,

Currently with 17.5.2, does someone test the brand news 17.6.1?

Cheers

Guys, can someone tell which version of amd driver from 17.x branch works with modded bios (don't check signature)?

I have RX 580/480 and use the latest 17.5.2 drivers. You have to use the pixel patcher to disable the Bios signature check any time you install the drivers.

https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher
16.9.2 works without any patch, but i doubt that rx 5xx will recognized properly with this version.

Try updating to the newest drivers. They work fine.

Thanks for getting back to me...I have tried that already I'm afraid....any other suggestions?

go into task manager and close any processes running that you don't need at the time. I had the same issue (not with a laptop) where 2 of my 7 cards were giving this problem. After increasing the virtual memory to 18gb and also closing anything that i didn't need this sorted it.

Hello

My Rig 1:
OS and Driver : Non-WHQL-Win7-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-17.5.2-May17
GPU : Asus Strix RX 480 (Linked , running at x4 v2 ) , XFX GTR RX 480 (Primary , running at x16 v2)
Mobo : MSI Z97 Gaming 5

My batch :

set GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=0
set GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=100
set GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
set GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal x -epsw x -powlim -10,-10  -tstop 80,80 -tt 65,65 -fanmin 50,50 -fanmax 65,65 -cclock 1100,1100 -mclock 2000,2000 -cvddc 900,900 -mvddc 950,950 -dbg -1

Why does claymore show ?

Quote
GPU0 t=64c fan=52%

But On other rig 2 , It shows :
Quote
GPU0 t=64C fan=50%, GPU1 t=63C fan=44%

How to fix it ?

Hi guys! New here.
Is there a way to see my progress in real time?
I'm using Claymore to ETH+SC both in nanopool.

Thanks!

What progress do you mean?

Let's say that the minimum payout is 0.2 ETH and it takes 2 weeks for me to get paid.
I want to see how much ETH I have, in 2 days of mining, for an example.

I think you can get the information from the pool directly.

The miner can just give you shares, which has nothing to do with coins directly.

I have found the informations that I wanted here:

https://etc.nanopool.org/api

So, thank you for showing the way.

Happy mining for us,

fuliaro

Hai guys,

I am new to cryptocurrency mining and claymore miner here. I encounter this error when trying to install the miner following the instruction from youtube. Here is how it sounds:

SYSTEM32\OpenCL.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f.

Somebody help.

I greet everyone, very interesting information they exchange in the forum. My query is if I can use in the same rigs to mine, the radeon rx 460 and the nvidia gtx 1050ti.

Thank you.
 Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh

the answer is yes, Claymore miner will recognize both AMD and NVIDIA cards.

btw, what ETH MHs are you getting for 1050ti ?

I do not know, is that the technical characteristics are similar to those of radeon rx 460, is there any place where you can investigate the MH / s it generates?

An RX460 4GB (extra cores unlocked) gets 11MH/s. You might get up to 14MH/s if you also copy the 1500 or 1700 mem straps to 2000  depending on mfg but I didn't have much luck with that on my Gigabyte card.

Hi all,

I have previous experience mining eth on a pc but I was out of the game for quite a while.

I have since set up an EGPU on my laptop with a 8GB R9 390X and its working perfectly for mining ZCash using Claymores miner however I cant for the life of me get it to mine ethereum with claymores dual miner.

the error message is along the lines of:

GPU0, OpenCL error -5 (0) cannot create DAG on GPU

Now when I was mining last year I had a similar issue running 2GB cards but this is 8GB.

I have already increased the virtual memory to above 16GB

I am using the 15.12 drivers.

I am running it on windows 10 which isn't ideal.

I have 4GB of RAM on the laptop.

I have also set the following in my batch file:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100

Is there anything else I could possibly do to fix it?

would downgrading to Windows 7 help or adding more RAM to my Laptop?

Try updating to the newest drivers. They work fine.
