v9.2:
2. DCR: after changes in DCR mining protocol, both pool and mining software must be upgraded. At this moment the miner works with Suprnova, but fails with Nicehash, probably they will update their pool soon. Or may be they applied changes somehow differenty.

it is also working with my pool: https://www2.coinmine.pl/dcr

v9.2 slightly reduced performance.  dcri 23 => same DCR yet ~2% lower eth rate (2-4W less consumption on 470)

EDIT: it seems that 9.1 was not only faster, but also more stable. I'm getting lower hash on ETH even with dcri 18 and it seem to jitter even more then 9.1 (from 15 cards I was getting 422->418 and now it's 421->415 with DCR 510 instead of 650 @ dcri 18... will try going forward from 23 now...

updated to 9.1, DCR mining on supernova pool works, but gives 100% rejected shares

v9.2:

- improved mining speed stability.
- added changes in DCR mining protocol.
- fixed possible issue with rejected DCR shares on Nicehash pool.
- added pool selection in runtime ("e" and "d" keys).
- now if devfee mining fails for a long time, miner will not stop mining, it will turn on "-nofee" option temporarily with appropriate warnings, until successful devfee mining.
- some minor improvements.
- EthMan: added ReasonID parameter to .bat file which is executed when some rig has problems, check "sample.bat" for details.

NOTES:
1. Mining speed stability is better now, but still is not perfect. I'm working on it.
2. DCR: after changes in DCR mining protocol, both pool and mining software must be upgraded. At this moment the miner works with Suprnova, but fails with Nicehash, probably they will update their pool soon. Or may be they applied changes somehow differenty.

Its been 12 days and no update from Nicehash Sad

In regards to the new ASM options for Polaris cards, after using the ASM options the hashrate for ethereum became very variable, same with Decred.

So even though the Decred speed seems higher with ASM, the asm option actually lowers the average ETH speed and average Decred speed due to random slowdowns in hashing speed which did not happen without ASM. So at the end of the day I think average speed is the same for all modes.

Who also made this observation?
i've seen this too... that's why i asked about this ASM option.

Seems like the slowdowns were fixed in ver 9.2 Smiley Will observe further Smiley

"added assembler kernels for ETH+SIA"  what this does ?

it increase speed of mining dual coin. Not ETH just the dual mining coin
so the -asm 2 is only for dual mining ? thanks.

yes dor dual ming you will need mode 0 and asm 2 for using assembler kernels. If you dont want to use assembler kernel then use asm 0
i didnt understood what means assembler kernels (noob on mining). whats the difference if i just enables dual mining without -asm 2 ?

I have been using -asm 1 mode with dual mining I will try -asm 2 an post if I see changes but now i'm waiting for a fix to dual mine DCR because of the changes to stake.

As per my imagination without asm 2 , its like old mining without boost. with asm 2 it uses newer kernel which is faster

Accordingly to the readme file it states that asm 2 is used for ETH-ONLY mode. ?

I am confused by this as well. I am dual mining ETH and PASC and I use -asm 1. What difference does using 2 do? I see in the OP it mentions if the -dcri flag does not work for you and have it set to 1 to use -asm 2 option. I might be misunderstanding the OP?

So the algo is:
IF you use ETH-only mode AND you see best speed at -dcri 1 THEN try to use -asm 2 and find best speed by increasing -dcri value.

as per: https://dcr.suprnova.cc/

It looks like dcr miner needs updating.

There is a MANDATORY UPDATE to use new miners with Stake Version 3 from now on - old miners won't work and the shares will be rejected. Please update your miners to the latest ccminer version (released today!) and only use port 3252 for mining !
See this post
Only this ccminer is updated now - no other miner

OLD MINERS WON'T WORK ! You'll see rejected shares only with old miners !

Yeah, that was a rude awaking this morning when i saw all 3 of my ETH+DCR getting nothing but DCR rejects. Even changed pools on one only to then see the post on CoinMine.PL that the Decred daemon has changed so miners will not work until updated. Thanks to Claymore for addressing this quickly. Hopefully it's not a hard thing to fix since DCR is hovering around $17 now!

Im not sure if I have all the optimized settings entered, but my ETH hashrate is 21 mh/s is this normal for a NVIDIA GTX 1080 SC? Thanks!

Claymore - is it possible to add a -dcri detect option (at least for Eth-only mode) that tries to auto-tune for the highest eth hashrate?  Something like -di detect that outputs a suggested -dcri per card.

I swear I posted this question last night, but it's not in the thread so I must just be nuts.

You are not nuts Wink
