Claymore, ASM is not suitable for RX460? It is not working, still only etha 0.

I don't have RX460, so probably ASM mode does not work there.

Hey guys. Im confused for a long time. Been mining only eth on my 1st rig with 6*rx 470s doing 168 Mhs. Rig is on 1kw psu and consuming 860 watt at the wall. I think its about max power limit of psu but id like to do dual mining another coin as well. Could you plz answer, if i run dual mining, can i stay below 1kw power hugry situation and do more prof. then eth only? And what coin is to be ?

I can't speak for Sia or Libr but for sure you will have a problem dual mining DCR with that rig as is. As an example, I have been running 2 6x470 rigs (on 1200w PSUs) and with ETH only, it pulls about 820-830W. But with ETH+DCR, it runs around 970-1000w on v9 with DCR set to 27-30.  I just built a 3rd rig and am in tweaking mode currently trying to get it to run dual effeciently. Even with DCR set to only 20, it still pulls about 940W.  Most people here recomend not exceding 85% load on your PSU.  That's why i have set my personal limit to 1kw on my 1200w PSUs (about 83%) or maybe a bit lower. Given you already at that ~85% thresshold, I would not recommend trying to dual mine with that rig... unless you are willing to turn down intensity on ETH & lower your overclocks. Even then, would probably be challenging but good luck!

I can confirm those numbers - on a 6x RX 470 rig when mining Eth + DCR I pull as much as 980 from the wall, even undervolted. Personally I chose to mine ZEC for the summer months since it sips power at <760 at the wall while staying cool and quiet. I'm using an EVGA SuperNOva 1300 watt Gold PSU.

im change the claymore to 9.1

but -di option does not work

im put -di 0 in first card

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-us-east1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal 0x4FAd3e68CEc96AfbB0457B17A46fF6896EB57E40/WORKER1/[email protected] -di 0 -asm 2 -dcri 1

and -di 1 in seond card

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal 0x4FAd3e68CEc96AfbB0457B17A46fF6896EB57E40 -di 1 -r 1 -eworker WORKER1 -mport 3334 -asm 2 -dcri 1

but the two cards show gpu0, see

it is normal HuhHuh

yes

see the commands

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-us-east1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal 0x4FAd3e68CEc96AfbB0457B17A46fF6896EB57E40/WORKER1/[email protected] -mport 0 -di 0

You are putting a space between the -di 0. And -di 1 correct?

Is there any particular reason you are using such old version. 5.3?? Dl 9.0 or 9.1.

testing 9.1

with dcri 1 and asm 2, hashrate not stable.very often get low hashrate.
with dcri 1 no asm 2, hashrate stable but no speed improvement over 9.0
testing rig rx 480 ref with mod bios.

in Claymore 9.1 the option -dcri 1 will increase speed?

what is the best line in claymore 9.1 to get the maxximum speed?

v9.1:

- added assembler kernels for ETH+SIA and ETH+PASCAL modes (major speedup for SIA and PASCAL).
- added alternative assembler kernels for Tonga and Polaris cards for ETH-only mode. Use them if you get best speed at "-dcri 1" (i.e. you cannot find speed peak), use "-asm 2" option to enable this mode.
- a few minor bug fixes and improvements.

On my second 2gpu rig I can't see temperature of my second gpu. I can see only temp of first gpu. I use -di 10 to order my gpus, thats ok, both are mining. But just one of them is showing temperature. Both gpus are the same type.
How to get miner to see both/all gpus temperatures? Thanks for an answer...

hmmm

in what place im can download the 9.1 ?

What is the utility of -mport  Huh im cam put -mport 0 ?

Thanks
Almir

Check the very first post of this thread. Mport is the management port. If you dbl click the manager folder under the miner folder you will see Ethman.exe. You have to set it up to monitor the ip of the rig. If you set Mport 0 this won't work. Check out the readme file for more info.

I just started trying 9.1. At the same dcri setting of 25 on 9.0 I was hashing ETH at just over 22 MH/s and PASC at 288 MH/s (this was my cards sweet spot - I have not modded the bios yet). When I started 9.1 with asm mode enabled with the same dcri setting it was only hashing ETH at around 15 MH/s and PASC at around 370 MH/s. I then played around with dcri and at a setting of 14 I am now hashing ETH around 22.4 MH/s and PASC at 315 MH/s. So I am getting no extra has on ETH but getting about 27 MH/s extra on PASC.

Thanks for finding them references turned off the quick edit and insert mode.  So far no stalls while running now when I put focus on it.. Now to test the new 9.1 so guess I'll find out how it effects the start up.

Very nice startup was faster than before in 9.1 and no stall or hangs.  In fact my eth total hash rate went from max of 213 MH/s to 224 MH/s.. so you even managed to squeeze a bit more eth out of it.  Very nice update!

Dear d57heinz

im to this, but the two pools use same gpu0.
in first lines appears the correct gpu
but after all changes to "gpu0"

im put -di0 in first and -di1 and second

see images

Need to change your Mport value. They both can't use 3333. -mport 3333 first instance and -mport 3334 for second. That should clear it up. If you don't want it wide open to the internet then put a - in front of port #

Dear Friends

What parameter do I use to specify the video card I want to use?

Because I just want to use the "GPU 0"

Thanks
Almir Fiorio

Look at the -di parameter on the first post, it explains how it works.., -di 0 for example.
