Hi. I'm having issues. I've been mining a while and professionally but I'm still a boob.

I powered off a rig tonight, 3 Hawaii, hashing away fine before.

Added a Tonga 380x.

Powered back on. Reinstalled 16.50 (crimson 16.2.2)
Reboot. All recognized by windows 8.1. Open ethminer

Claymore says

No opencl devices found.
No opencl gpu detected.
-doesnt try to set dag-
Crash

Reinstalled drivers. Nothing
Removed card, went back to three Hawaii, nothing
Reinstalled crimson 15.7 , sane crash and message.

I'm rediscovering anger problems I haven't had since I was 17! I'm flaming mad.

Plus the damn mass effect Andromeda update screwed the launcher up so I can't play that either on my other non miner..

Any ideas, anyone else experienced this before?

Something is going on @ amd with drivers/updating, best is to put all cards in and reinstall OS than drivers ( don't go past 16.11.5! ) and turn updates off.

Can someone please post a sample bat command for ETH-only for version 9.0.

The 6xGPUs are the XFX RX 480 8GB with original bios and now are getting  24,8xx Mh/s each one on ethereum.
The PSU is an rose will 1500watt and I don't care about power consumption,

I would like to have the optimal performance

Thanks

Hello

I do not understand what to put in the command line for the DCR?

Do not put wallet address?

Login and pass the pool account?

i use claymore :

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal 0x242a8722fE288FCA7eF03b627D0C78799166C695/PC/[email protected] -dpool stratum+tcp://dcr.suprnova.cc:2252  -dwal DskqH7NwywxaaYENnQt6kBz28aBzKUUdFjb.PC -dpsw x -allpools 1 -r 1 -dcri 30

command ok ?

DCR share rejected ................ Huh

Add -dcoin dcr

SAFE LOAD ON PSU SHOULD BE BELOW 70%--
You have a well-made PSU, but the load you specify will wear it out much faster than normal.  The capacitors will degrade.  Other manufacturer's 1000W PSUs will simply fail immediately.       --scryptr

I have no problem with that - warranty is 7 years long

RMx are with 10 years warranty! So don't worry, it will not blow or anything like that. 950w from the wall is not more than 850w on the PSU.

Claymore
Hello, Claymore. I want to ask / recommend one feature. Please make that the rigs are visible in the Remote manager even if they do not have a real IP (they are behind NAT) For example, as the easiest option is make Remote Manager to act as a server on the PC from which all RIGs are monitored and rigs Connected to it ...
Please )

The main reason for fluctuations  for 9.0 vs 8.0 is low Dcri.
For my rx470 if i set dcri less than 23 for example i notice that the power graph provided by afterburner will fluctuate every few seconds , showing that GPU power is reduced for some reason , and it happens like a clock , if i increase dcri the problem disappear .

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.eu.nicehash.com:3353 -ewal bitcoinaddy.lanky1 -mport 127.0.0.1:4001 -esm 3 -epsw x -allpools 1 -dbg -1

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.eu.nicehash.com:3353 -ewal bitcoinaddy.lanky1 -mport 127.0.0.1:4001 -esm 3 -epsw x -allpools 1 -dbg -1 -estale 0 -dpool stratum+tcp://decred.eu.nicehash.com:3354 -dwal bitcoinaddy.lanky1 -dcri 19

you need to add the bolded part to dual mine on nicehash.. read the Readme!!!.txt file that comes with the miner..

May i ask a simple question?

What does it look like when i have mined a block in this software?

A bit of a random post...

I thought you could mine Decred with this Claymore miner but then i read the documentation or the help screen, it seems to do it for you? although it says no, i dont think i understand

I have had an interest in this for a while now maybe 4-5 weeks and i recently just bought 1 card.

Is this certainly a good miner for Ethereum?

I am using this command:  (batch file test.bat
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.eu.nicehash.com:3353 -ewal bitcoinaddy.lanky1 -mport 127.0.0.1:4001 -esm 3 -epsw x -allpools 1 -dbg -1

are those parameters or options correct ?

I am today still not sure which is a great pool to use for any altcoin?
Or is Ethereum fine?

When my miner runs it shows me 21 MH/s

Do versions of the Miner factor speed? and or Drivers... the help says use  15.3 or 16. something for the specified cards. Is there anything i need to know about AMD drivers and what not to download or not to install?

Thanks.

I have some rigs running from 2013 year ( yeah, when LTC GPU mining kicked in ) and pretty nonstop - 7950 cards and with Antec 1200 PSUs - 1kw-1.1kw load. And still up and running..

Can someone suggest me which core/memory settings is best for my rig?

modified bios - 1750 straps to 2000 only

5x480 nitro OC+
core 1100  , 1000mv
memory 2100, 1000mv
-dcri 35
- asm 1

eth - 135 mhs / dcr-4700 mhs

980w from wall - is this to much for my Corsair RM1000x  ?
which settings should I change to get lower energy consumption from wall?

I have corsair rm1000i and it takes 980w from wall. 6 x rx480, dualmining with 8.1 Consumption is ok, miner is 100+ hr stable.

I reverted back to -asm 0. Many of my cards (rx470 and rx480 modded bioses from all brands) were fluctuating. This resultted in about %10 decrease in effective hashrate.

Increase power limit doesnt work.
Higher or lower dcri reduces fluctuating (doesnt end it). But my profits are reduced compared to -asm 0.
Higher cpu priority had no effect.

So i m actively monitoring this thread to increase my decred hashrate %60 again  Smiley

Do not look within claymore to figure out if you actually had reduced profits. Look at the pool.  Show us pool charts showing you had 10% less hashrate overtime.

The black line is the speed reported by claymore. Maybe it is not 10% but definitly is not as stable as asm1, this graphic is for two 6xrx480 rig under claymore dual eth+dcr

my rig is on another location  so I'm just worried if it will blow up lol  Grin

anyway I set these settings, and now load from wall fluctuates from 890W-950W

tl;dr Hashrate fluctuations with ASM mode are due to GPU hitting max power so decrease clock frequency and core and memory voltage to get a stable hashrate.

If you decrease cor/mem values you will be end with less speed which is the opposite that everyone wants. One of the beauty of this miner is keep eth speed plus adding another coin mining only with more power. If the answer is decrease value then use another miner which they are more slower than claymore and use less power.

just my two cents.

Decreasing core voltage by 100 does not decrease my ETH. Decreasing core frequency by 4% did not decrease my ETH hashrate. Decreasing memory votlage by 50 did not decrease my ETH values. From my understanding, it is the Memory frequency that needs to be max due to Ethash algorithm using memory and not core frequency. I am a noob to mining so I might be wrong.
Atleast for me, I can lower my core frequency and voltage to certain points without loosing even a fraction of hasrate and reducing my power consumption by 10% and my temperature lowered by 5 to 10 degree celsisus.
