Hi there!!

I updated to new 9.1 version but I faced some weird bug appeared only with versions 9.0 and 9.1

One of my card Sapphire Radeon RX 480 NITRO+ 8192MB in rig shows mistake

gpu#1 returned incorrect data ... Constantly !!!!

before update to these versions all was ok and this card is with basic bios so far

I changed mining pool same thing goes on... only one of 6 cards in rig shows this mistake and doesn't give shares

Plz suggest me if anyone faced same issue and what to do?

Cheers

maybe you need to decrease overclocking

I've tested  the v9.1 but I prefer the v9.0 version. With v9.1 I lose around 12 15 sol per card.

For me v8 worked fine on 6 RX 470 8gb . On 9 I could not make it work. It crashed after a few minutes or max an hour. (tried what was suggested around here and it crashed ) (have a 1200w PSU)
After a few tests on v 9 and then Claymore for ETH I found that a GPU just made the system crash each time .... even tho everything worked fine on v 8. After removing all cards except the one that made the system crash..I then changed the cables...riser and mined only with it on v8 v9 and ETH - on ETH and v9 it crashed each time so now I'm 100% sure that GPU was at fault .

No idea why..but I'll prob return that GPU. All cards were stock (new) and no changes in Trixx.
Anybody had something like this happen ?

On 5 cards and v9 the system looks stable and I'm getting same performance like with 6 on v8

Also...I see drivers 15.12 suggested . Can't find a valid download link for Win 10 x64. A valid link to download ?

one of my RX 480s does not support v9 either

i'm using -di to disable it and using it for dual mining ETH + SIA
I'm returning mine..but your approach seems good also...but mine can't mine ETH . I removed all cards and put this card alone on the system and it crashed in seconds both on ETH and Claymore v9.
No idea why ... as in v8 it was working fine ...

Ooh La La, C'est Zoom!
... named after a device that sits idle until activation at which point it explodes and wreaking havoc all around it.

Well, I suppose ...

that ssl thing is only good for mining software makers, plain old users don't benefit anything from it.
i would say it only slows down things a little bit because of the encryption-decryption process.

I don't see it being necessary at all, considering how it doesn't affect any good hackers.

This is protection from government spying.

mixing threads eh ?

He means ssl can protect miners from the government spying. That is a very good feature. Maybe all miners should use that.

Thank you, Estimated.
I thought I was writing it clear.
This is actual especially in Russia.

Dual-X R9 280X 3G D5

win7 4 Gb RAM, 16 Gb virtual RAM
radeon software ver 16.9.2
zecminerx64.exe -zpool ssl suprnova -i 8
hashrate avg 200 h/s
hashrate do not match between pools and my rig
and always : share rejected 5

is this normal ?

Yes. Pools steal shares from you. The only zcash pool that reports and pays correctly what is expected is dwarfpool.

Thanks is it easy to start useing dwarfpool i use flypool now how much are them takeing can you give me a little guide to use dwarfpool?  sorry for my bad eng Smiley

Only issue is you will make about 1/2 as much right now on that pool than zpool because it is so small.  I like dwarfpool but man not that much =(

To small i think you have wrong there they are one of the biggest. . .

that's quite the rabbit hole you've started your way down.not that i don't agree.

we are executing closed source code written by an anonymous author that is coincidentally named after a device that sits idle until activation at which point it explodes and wreaking havoc all around it.

that author is being payed handsomely for this privilege.

funny how a few shills and largely clueless mining community can lead up to the current state of things.

well good luck, when you stated 2gig of ram hours and hours came to mind Smiley

Ha! Fixed it! I had two of the low end PCs so I took the 2GB DDR3 from one and added it to the other and problem solved!

Lesson learned: have at least 4GB RAM! It's a 64-bit system, so I would never have spec'd it this way, but I guess it's good to know that 2GB is just not enough, at least for W10 and RX 480s.

Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions!

here is MO time spent tweaking  gpu's and crashing is time not spent mining.

MSI Z97A Gaming 6 Intel Z97 Socket 1150 ATX Desktop Motherboard
Will this work the same as  Z97 Gaming 5,  MSI Z97 Intel LGA 1150 DDR3 USB 3.0 ATX Gaming Motherboard?
Anybody using this mobo yet?

FWIW, I have an older MSI Z97 Gaming 7 and I've gotten 6 GPUs to work with it.

Thanx, next rig I'll buy this mobo to try to run 7 cards.

WTF  ?

Ii is obvious that  15.12 crimson drivers  are not compatible with  Radeon 470/480 family

15.12 crimson drivers - they work for about two years.
Rx 470/480 family - only about half year.

I installed relive 16.12.1 driver got code 43 error.
Reverted back to 16.11.5 work perfectly

Ps. My 470s were bios modded

Did you use DDU or windows rollback? Because AMD utility doesn't work and they mention it only in release notes for Pro cards:
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-FirePro-and-Radeon-Pro-Software-Crimson-ReLive-Edition.aspx

Using AMDCleanUpUtility.exe directly to uninstall the driver may not perform as expected

Juz use the latest ddu to uninstall 16.12.1, u will be fine

DDU is best. It is much better than the AMD clean utility. But make sure you reboot into safe mode to do the clearn up.

Yes, there is new DDU version for all of you who want to get rid of 16.12 driver Smiley

Hi All!

Is it strongly recommended to use only 15.12 crimson drivers version?
Higher version not better?

I see no difference between the 16.9.2 and 15.12.
