I've read a lot of people have flashed their RX 480s with the 1500 timings to increase Sols/s. I have the 8GB Ref versions. Would this work on my cards, and if so, could someone point me in the direction of a tutorial? Thanks!
Close things like afterburner, gpu-z, trixx, mining, etc. Use atiwinflash (latest version), save bios from card (preferably a card with dual bios switch in case of a bad attempt...).  Open with polarisbioseditor, copy straps, save bios (diff file, so you can revert to original if you need).  Then load modded bios with atiwinflash, and restart. There is a youtube video on how to do it (search for it).  Best to do at the computer (not teamviewer or vnc).  It often freezes after flash (shows success message, then computer is frozen, or ridiculously unresponsive.  If this does happen, it shouldn't be an issue, just annoying.  Then test for stability, I have never had issue using 1500->1750 or 1750->2000.

I copy 1750 to 2000 on 2000Mhz (8gbps) cards, and 1500 to 1750 on 1750 mhz cards (7gbps).  You can see what works.  Newer miner versions the tighter timings have less affect, but helps Ethereum mining immensely (~12% for free, using 1 strap lower).  I have flashed about 20 470/480s (all sapphire nitro, some 4gb, some 8gb).  Only messed up one bios (before I figured out my next tip...)

VERY IMPORTANT, use driver version 16.9.x or later, versions before this checked bios signature, and Win7 will fail to see card properly, even on a successful flash, device manager sees it, but says something went wrong.  It doesn't hurt anything, it just won't work until you get newer driver, or flash to stock.

Tried to disable some things in device manager and also bios and custom settings z170 motherboard and still no dice to get more than 3 cards (2 mounted on mobo and 1 riser) will try all riders after I can build a case. Got 492h/s steady getting about 140 each r9 380 (2gb and a 4gb) and about 220 on the 280x. I think the 280x has more but all fans set to 100% temps are 64 top 380 in case, 60 bottom in case, 60 280x outside case (case has side off tower laying on its side for heat to rise out

dont waste yoru time with the Z170 chipset the only one i have found to work with 6 cards is the Asus super high end one thats like 250

Asrock 81h BTC pro around 70 euro from Amazon
Asrock 97h Anniversary 80 euro

Both work perfect with x6 GPU's

With regards to the gpu hashing at 1000 h/s its a radeon pro duo
R9 390 hashes at 300 h/s with 40 compute units

Pro duo has 128 compute units hbm memory and tdp 300 watts
Is this your pro duo or are you speculating,I was under the impression pro duo was 2 furys so that would give us around 600 s/s max with Claymore!
Pro duo has 8gb hbm memory if a 295x2 can do 560 s/s at 88 compute units then its very easy for a pro duo to hit 1000 s/s as it has 128 compute units and faster memory access if you look at the fury pro thats coming out next year that uses hbm2 memory at 64 compute units which will sit inbetween the 295x2 and the pro duo the pro duo also has advanced power effeciency technology to allow it to only run at 300 watts thats the whole point of hbm memory
and its not as simple as just taking 2 furys and doubling the hash rate because you have to double the compute units and double the memory meaning in theory a pro duo is 3 times that of a fury

I see some posts that V8 reached hardware limits and there is no way to improve speed anymore. It's not true.
I'm working on new version with another good speedup, though it takes more time and efforts.

Still waiting on a LINUX version...

Still waiting on a LINUX version, since Windows is an active PAIN to deal with if you don't have 100% reliable power.

Sapphire nitro+ rx470 8gb Samsung :
70W -> 160H/s = 2.28H/W

What the application is telling you isn't accurate. Please provide measurements at the wall.

 It's accurate - but INCOMPLETE.

That's the power the GPU chip ITSELF is eating - does not include the memory chips, the interface chips, conversion efficiency loss, etc.

May be GTX Titan Z can achieve this? Either way, not worth the 3000$ investment lol

Doubt it, the memory on those isn't all THAT fast - they should be comparable to a little faster than the Nano/FuryX.

Added mine for 290x
Flashed to 390x moded bios
Running at 310sol
Using 1125 core/ 1600 mem
(Would only do 1500 standard bios)

it's very impressive information. I like this card

Claymore 280x (2048 cores) 1100/1750 -220h/s
               470  (2048 cores) 1100/1750 -160h/s
30% That's very bad.

280x is 384 bit memory bus, RX 470 is 256.
