Is anyone else having problems controlling their rigs via ethmon with v8.0?

For my farm, v8.0 seems to have broken the communications between my miners and ethmon.  Everything is in read-only mode, even when I specify the correct -mport settings.  I have checked all firewall settings, including application-specific settings, and everything is normal.  I've even disabled the firewall to see if that was the issue.  Still doesn't work.  I can see stats on ethmon, but I can't tell ethmon to restart my rig.  It is very important I have control via ethmon, as I have over 40 rigs.  Whats going on?

Ppl had the same problem after the launching of v8. Claymore did some changes and reuploaded the miner. Try to download the miner again and try, should be workinng correctly.....

the  HD 7870 is based from the AMD Pitcairn family of chips. The AMD 7870, AMD8870 and AMD 270x are the same chip but with different DirectX requirments..  The AMD HD 7750 is from the Cape Verde chips which is only 512 shaders in therory should be at 40s/h using V8 on zcash  if you have the 2gb verison

Claymore v8
Windows 7
Catalyst 15.12

HIS IceQ HD 7870 (the huge-blower-style thing)

Afterburner settings (I prefer the custom fan profile option but do have -tt 5 set to keep an eye on temps)
900/1450 clock
-20 power limit (lowest it will go)

 appx. 110 h/s (I'm guessing h/s is actually solutions/sec)

Clock anywhere from 900 to 1020 had no noticeable effect on hashrate, maxing out memory clock from the 1250 stock added about 10 h/s

Card mis-identifies as a "R9 270/270x" in the miner but that's the AMD "recycled most of the HD 78xx/79xx cards to become R9 2xx cards" generational shuffle at work and is not an issue that needs addressing.

Same card managed 10.5 Mh/s on Ethereum while running noticeably hotter.

I was hoping to run the R9 280x that was originally in this rig but it appears to have died during my last move.

Looks like time to reconfigure a couple rigs, 1x R9 280x and 1x R9 290 doesn't seem like a good choice any more on 2 of my old "spare parts" rigs.

It would be interesting to see what my HD 7750s would manage but it looks like they don't have enough RAM to run this?

Some hash/ watt numbers from a single 295x2. At the wall only that one card connected to psu.

275s/s 180w
290s/s 195w
365s/s 230w
480s/s 350w
500s/s 400w
560s/s 560w (default for that card)

High and low end numbers could be better but I am more interested in that 200-400w zone. Also it is not that gpu alone, mb+ddr+cpu+os+riser+pcie slot combo still does something to equihash performance.

Thanks for posting. I'm getting 495Sol/s with stock clocks, powlim 0, default parameters (-i 4, etc), Crimson 16.9.2. What are you using?

what is the problem?

I have the same problem.

Your intensity is set too high, I get more hashrate if I set it at 4 or 6 intensity but more GPU #0 returned incorrect data!, I use -i 2 with no problems and it never gets them and is stable as anything.
210sol/s with 280x stock everything besides intensity

Bravo Claymore!

v8 now gives me R9 390 = 270 H/s per card!

Updates:

R9 290 = 268 H/s

R9 290x = 278 H/s

RX 480 = 172 H/s

R9 Nano = 278 H/s 297 H/s !

R7 370 = 110 H/s

Best performer after v8, R9 Nano (HBM 8GB), 297 H/s !

Hi can you tell what settings you use with the 290x? I'm getting about 250 H/s now with my 290x.
Thanks.

Excellent speed increase for R9 2xx 3xx but not for RX Undecided
RX 480 8GB = 200 H/s!!! For the fact that older cards have wider memory bandwidth, that's excellent. So PLS stop whining.

On stock or modded BIOS?

and now we got less earning, next update we got less and less, fundamental things apply, old cards dominated again
why these guy happy? lololol
Basically, every update, we gain from the Linux/Nvidia miner that can compete for the moment.

you gain almost nothing because at least 90% are on windows and difficulty increases proportionally, therefore you get 15% of 10% or 1.5% gain.
