Hello!
Ok cool, thanks for the link john. I have it now connected to my wifi but i cannot edit the preferences from other computers connected to the wifi network. Is it safe to assume i can edit the changes while im connected via ethernet (with the dhcp server running) then unplug it and it will fetch data over wifi?

I think so, yes.

ah no luck, the wifi option seems to be completely disabled now after a firmware upgrade. It doesnt seem to want to scan anymore, with the 3 different dongles I tried (including the one I tried before) This is starting to become a huge hassle, lol

Looks like mine should be here tomorrow. DHL is always so sketchy to Canada, but I look forward to getting it.

I look forward to your review on it.

still trying to set mine up, it wont connect to my raspberry pi's ethernet bridge (but my laptop and other devices will...)
I dont have access to a router in the area the miner needs to be so I need to find some solution to running it wirelessly.

The packaging of the device, however- was really nice

Get a wireless dongle. I'm just wondering which dongle to get at the moment. (Spondolies-Tech, any recommendations?)

you mean a wireless usb dongle to plug directly into the miner itself? I have one but I'm not sure how to set it up

Yep. Plug it in the USB port on it, and go to the settings page and click WiFi networks.

the settings page being myminer.io? Im assuming in order to set this up, it needs to be connected to ethernet briefly, though

If the SP20 is anything like the SP10 and SP30, the unit must be connected to the internet for a few minutes (more than just briefly) before its IP address shows up on myminer.io

myminer.io is not a settings page, it is a handy page that shows all the Spondoolies-Tech rigs on your local network. Then you can click on the rig to be taken to the web page for that rig (where you can then adjust all the settings for that rig).

And you need to be in the same local network as it is. I obtained a VPN to get remote monitoring work.
alright, so i have my windows laptop creating a network bridge, plugged in the miner via ethernet to my laptop in hopes of it being able to connect. Its been a few minutes and still it has not shown up. Does this thing just not like network bridges? I feel like I am still doing something wrong.

Nope, that doesn't work. (tested yesterday) You need your computer to be a DHCP server as it needs its own IP address to be able to work. Here's one wh00ps gave me yesterday: http://www.dhcpserver.de/
