Can't seem to stay connected -- need to revert to HHTT and Ozco.in
use cgminer and set some other pools as backup. that way, your miners will immediately switch back to mtred if it comes back. Smiley

Working on it, also brining us back to 0.8.1.

I've been mining constantly on the getwork protocol, no interruptions. I think it's just been a stratum issue.

I had to go back in and resave the config of each miner and it "kicked in"

Yep, I use this method when the pool refuse to connect sometimes. Had no idea that it can be used to revive the vardiff Smiley
Many thanks.

BTCPak.com - Exchange your Bitcoins for MP!
It looks like mining is backup, but vardiff is not working.

Additionally, I requested a payout, it was given a txid, but it was not broadcast to the network.

Some of that yesterday was me probably bringing the server up and down a few times to try and patch some other bugs.

We also shutdown the stratum proxy on the web server as it's behaving irregularly.

Are there any trade offs when using too high diffs?
Higher variance. Keeping your WU around 18-20 shares per minute seems to be the most balanced option.

Yeah, that's a diff 2 for me.
OK thanks.

Tried some difficulty values (2/4/8/16) and so far it seems that 16 works best for me. I had 0 rejects in about 12 hours at one point. The lower I go, the higher the number of rejects.

Still, from what I read around the forum, for my rigs (2500 Mh/s each) a diff of around 2 seem to be the (generally) recommended value.
Are there any trade offs when using too high diffs?

Yea, luckily you where the only person with two que'd payments, and bitcoind ignored it (instead of sending both, summing them, or throwing an error) but as soon as you mentioned it i know it was the latter.

I have sent it, and updated its tx in your payments.

Thank you very much  Smiley

Payout que has been paid.

Vardiff is enabled again, with a fix to issue your difficulty when you sub. *If you have dynamic diff it will still start you on 1
Transaction in the amount of 0.5024 paid. In the amount of 0.1163 is not at all check payments  Huh

Sorry for delays, I will check on this when I get off work.
