Enjoyed using this pool while it operated.

Unfortunately for those that are AFK, the pool is still accepting shares but not paying out.
I have sent shares for hours after the payout and my account no longer works = no payout.

Regardless of the previous payouts, many are sending shares into a black hole at the moment.

kind regards

It was a difficulty decision to make, but I will be shutting down CoinSauce proxy mining pool indefinitely. There are a few reasons to this decision I would like to note.

We are an unnecessary pool. We don't actually host a pool server on our servers, but proxy the mining requests to other pools. Although we do fail-over from non-responding pools in the backend, we aren't transparent in this matter. Our pool does not benefit the network by distributing hash rate evenly. We are in still control.

There are already a bunch of pools out there that offer better service and track record than us. Mt. Red, EclipseMC, and Ozcoin are some that I recommend.

I would like to thank everyone for using our service, and I will paying out balances + 1 satoshi sometime soon. However payouts are still fully functional and you are able to initiate a manual payout anytime you'd like.

Thanks. Smiley
I'm at 0.04266982 exactly. Guess I'll need to wait for your manual payout then.
Also, I'm sorry you shut down the service...it was good when it lasted.

Darn, I enjoyed this service. The interface was nice, payout minimum was small/easy to obtain/achieve, payouts were virtually instant, didn't once have the "pool no providing work fast enough" issue as I've had with other pools, and the simple sign-up was a real plus.

I've been up for the past 5 hours attempting to resolve this issue, its nearly 5 AM and it was a hell of a bug to track down.

At first I thought it was an bug in the code, but it wasn't. It turns out our hosting provider's DNS servers (SoftLayer) do not like to be bombarded with DNS requests at the same rate we were receiving getworks/getwork completions. I cached them, now everything is fine.

Now, time for some sleep. Grin

Dear OP, how is migration going?
It seems things are not coming back up since some 3 hours.
Not pushing, just would like to know...

THX

Its been done for a quite a while now, but there are some private network issues at SoftLayer they are trying to resolve. I'll keep you guys updated.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Edit: Back in business.

I'm going to go ahead with the migration now, there should be around 20 minutes downtime (the database is quite large).

Thanks.
