Is everyone's auto-exchange still working?  My last conversion was at 10:10GMT this morning, and nothing has been exchanged for 7hrs...

From the News and Update section on the site:
Quote
Auto Conversion Update
Automatic conversion was updated today to set a minimum conversion value of 0.00001000 BTC before it converts a set of coins. This is to keep the effects of rounding on fees minimal, and reduce the amount of data logging required due to users with extremely low hash rates and conversions worth less than a penny each hour.

Once per day an automatic conversion will execute which ignores this 0.00001000 BTC minimum amount.

FRY & KDC

So looking at the PPLNS stats, I can see that I'm submitting shares on both FRY and KDC (I'm 100% auto switch)  I can also see that we are finding blocks.  However I don't see on the dashboard where they are listed as having any balances in either of those.

Just curious if this is just a reporting thing? or is there a bug someplace...

Edit:  To be more specific:  I'm seeing the shares submitted and blocks found when I hover over the details buttons on the PPLNS Shares overview.  However If I switch to PPLNS Coins earned neither FRY nor KDC are listed.  They are not listed on the dashboard balances either.

thanks,
Sigg

Does anyone know where I can find a Windows binary of cgminer 3.7.2?  This is the latest ver with GPU support if I recall.

The author's site.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=28402.0;topicseen

has a link to his file distribution, which includes old versions:

http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/3.7/

Those are just the linux ones, he removed the windows versions.

Hmm.  You're right.

I looked at sgminer, the official one looks to be linux only.  I saw someone else compiled a windows version, but you don't want that from just anyone.

M

I didn't know sgminer was a fork of cgminer 3.7.2.  I guess I'll have to search for a windows version of that.  Thanks!

PS: If I was being super careful, any guides on compiling the source code for Windows myself so I know there's nothing fishy going on?

Yes, sgminer is a fork of cgminer 3.7.2.  I've heard people say good things about it.  I think the original windows compile instructions are included.. I've heard it can be a bear to do as well.  I'm hoping someone reputable can compile it and post it somewhere reputable.  I thought maybe I could be that someone, but haven't got that far.  Only so much time to go around.

My account has not acquired any Litecoin credits since Shift 615 - before that, they appeared on most shifts.  Is this anything to do with the recent error correction reported at #133?  I'm not sure if the two coincided, as the posting times on the forum are local but the shift times on the ScryptGuild site are not.  I do note that the pool shares are down significantly from that point.

Talking of which: is there any possibility that the shift times displayed on the site could be adjusted to local time, as happens on BTCguild?  It's a little confusing when the displayed time is some hours adrift.  Pretty please?

On the whole, ScryptGuild is a positive experience so far, as my BTC earnings here accumulate faster with a GPU + CPU than half a Jalapeno and a Block Eruptor on BTCguild!

I personally don't want to link to files if I don't know they're safe, but I recall a binary for sgminer being linked on Reddit for both 4.0 and 4.1 when they were released.  sgminer is similar to the kalroth cgminer fork:  A scrypt-focused fork of the 3.7.2 cgminer code.

A minor update was pushed to the auto conversion.  The hourly conversion will only trade coins where you have at least 0.00001000 BTC worth of that coin.  Once per day an auto conversion will run that flushes the entire balance without this limit to clean up any dust you still have lying around.

Hello eleuthria,

apparently, on klondikecoin, there was a fork, I tried to solo mine KDC and it was showing good return of coins (but that was only because I did not know about the error) , but it looks like pool is mining on wrong (unvalid) part of the chain. I know now, that switching algorithm is not pointing to that coin, but it is there in dropdown menu Roll Eyes.

[edit]
as I thought (from KDC forum): fork of KDC at block #84576 on Sunday, March 2, 2014.

Hadn't been paying attention to the coins that we don't use in the profit switcher (KDC/FRY/NOBL were picked for alpha because they were very low diff).  Updated to the new fork on that.  Haven't figured out how I'm going to manage retiring coins from the system just yet.

I've never had any issue with sgminer 4.1.0.  Running it across 4 rigs currently, which has been across probably 4 different pools.

sgminer 4.1.0 didn't work at all well for me on either of my machines. Nor did the Kalgoth version of cgminer (3.7.3).  I went back to the ancient cgminer 3.7.2 bundled with GUIMiner-Scrypt and it's working perfectly.

Even running sgminer with the same batch file as cgminer 3.7.2 gives poor results.

I might have to try your setup, I get the same hash results but this whole glitching thing is just odd.

Had my wife restart sgminer and voila, back up and running. I guess worst case for now I can create a script that auto-restarts it every hour or something real quick.

Excellent pool, I've recommended it to several friends. I used to use BTC Guild when I was mining Bitcoins, you paid for my holiday this year Smiley
