Well, they haven't got back to me for 24 hours. In the past the response has been within an hour. I guess they wanted my money. Well, they have it now.  Sad
Try sending a DM through their twitter they seem to be more active over there having 7 posts in the last 24 hours. Ronnie was active few days ago but stopped responding to complaints after ginalli started a scam accusation against them.

Just want to update that cloudbet processed my withdrawal today . I remain a cloudbet fan but i dislike the fact that they changed the withdraw policy and its taking longer than usual
Maybe they did a security check on your account. How long was the usual waiting time for you ?

The KYC should be completed before the user is allowed to deposit. A easy way would be for cloudbet to implement functionality that locks the bitcoin or bitcoin cash deposit address until KYC is completed.

Otherwise anytime someone wins big cloudbet could simply claim the player is playing from a restricted territory on vpn.
If they don't want to do KYC on everyone, putting a bet limit on every player that haven't done KYC would be a good addition to prevent big wins from getting confiscated. They have to put more layers if not other users will eventually experience the exact problem like what your friend had.

Also what is interesting is that their server has an USA IP lol

and they restrict players from USA to register and play?

seems logic

That is the cloudflare server.

The headline is cool! "The easiest way to get scammed with bitcoin" Cheesy

Yes, it's Cloudflare server (which they use to hide their original IP), but it doesn't matter, it shouldn't be located in USA.

But maybe it's a good thing (for players) cause then Cloudbet can be under USA jurisdiction, and we all know how strict Americans are about gambling.

Also - DID CLOUDBET PAY JAMES HARDEN FROM HOUSTON ROCKETS FOR IMAGE RIGHTS?

I hardly believe so - and I also believe that he would be very angry if he knew his pictures are used to promote online gambling

Another lawsuit in sight? Cool

I can’t wait to see Ronnie’s response on this. Lol. In other words the country of Russia doesn’t allow cloudbet to be accessed so cloudbet tells people in Russia to use vpn so they can bet? HAHA

In other words cloudbet knows Russian citizens are using VPN and have been taking bets from them? This gets funnier by the minute.

.

I don't know Cloudbet's position on this issue. But I know that many players from Russia play via VPN in cloudbet and they have no problems. In Russia, blocked all betting sites except sites licensed in Russia. More recently, cloudbet did not require anything about vpn maybe the policy has changed ?
My guess is that they don't filter IPs in database for specific country but they have right to ask reason behind using VPN. Asking KYC from customers is enough to solve this issues imho. Out of curiosity, if management have no strict rules against VPN then how they fight against promotion abusers..

They do. A US ip gets this as of today. The whole point is they don’t care where you are if you lose. But all of the sudden care where you are if you win. Lol

Sad reality, man Wink I also tried to create account with US ip using VPN and result is same for me. KYC is there for a reason but it shouldn't be about  unfair decisions based on principles which are unfairly applied in different ways to different people. Maybe creating DEX gambling sites will solve mentioned problems but these cases are still actual on gambling industry.

Forcing customers to pass KYC will have typically undesirable effects. No need to ignore the laziness of gamblers who don't want to read terms&conditions before depositing money to gambling site. Honestly applying limit for mandatory KYC looks like more suitable for this case. Market makers know the psychology of gamblers except professionals and they act on their own discretion about  big amounts.

See registration at uobet.com - people don't like to fill some personal info (even no KYC!) on sign up.
KYC before deposit (and after...) not very consistent with the concept of bitcoin casino.

If you're serious about anything you stand for, you should stop acting like you're better than other users on the forums, while all you do is spam your own website, and promote your questionable services at the expense of other people's misfortunes.

This is the first time I've seen this thread pickup so much, with several accusations to actually start to touch at cloudbet's reputation. I'm sure that if this keeps up, Cloudbet will have to rethink their KYC procedures and selective bet-cancelling, hopefully refunding the users who got into trouble in the process.

Lol, what an idiot

Ok... so i have an issue with cloudbet. After lossing some btc i managed to have some winnings.i withdraw yesterday 0.5 btc and it wasnt sent . I canceled and requested a smaller withdraw then offcourse it didnt went through. Then i tried withdrawing multiple times 0.1 etc. one withdrawal of 0.1 btc has been processed while i still have money in the cloudbet account. They probably wait till i lose the funds.... cloudbet... as much as i like the improovements of the site... i cant be positive and play while you guys dont respect the players and dont send the funds. So from my point of view... you guys love the players only when they lose?

Hello!

This is me Swofty a Cloudbet user. Who is still waiting for my withdrawal!

Now they have blocked me because I bet on Superbowl! While they are investigating. And my bet won also by the way. So they just said its cancelled and refunded. Easily Smiley so yes they blocked my account with no notice. And the reason when i asked why im blocked is that I bet on Superbowl.

I had been nice and patient to them. But now this get really makes me worry and stress. 330 BTC is alot of money. That is for myself and for my family savings.

To tell you the truth. I withdrawed on January 2, 2019 they asked me a documents. Which I gave right away. I gave them my drivers license ID. I gave them my tax document, and I even took a photo of myself holding a paper saying Cloudbet, my username Swofty and the date. I even gave them our marriage certificate, gave them water bill which is name of my wife and an ID of my wife. And then we both took a picture also holding our IDs together.

I just want to get my rightful winnings. I deposited a total of 129 BTC in their website. And I never cheat or I never did something wrong. I just want to take my winnings and be happy. But now this makes me sick and I just dont know what to do. Since they are responding a robot like respond or an repeating answer everytime.

I had been patient enough. Cloudbet guys knows that. And I just really want to take my winnings. Because I gave every documents I could give. And I had been a nice customer. Please. Just please give me my rightful winnings. Thank you so much.

Albert

Open a scam accusation against them here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 - and should anyone contact you on this forum, asking you to pay them so that they help you recover your funds, ignore them, they are scammers too.

Interesting read on the cloudbet scam.

P.S. I'm just trying to say that you won't return anything from Cloudbet here.
Better try to use queries to goverment instances to defend your rights. If you have such in your country.
It may help to find out post address of Cloudbet for official correspondence.

Gambling from Russia isn't prohibited (but most IPs blocked by russian Roskomnadzor). So if user passed KYC and don't use prohibited VPN (US, UK, etc) there is no problem.
I'm from one of ex-USSR country and using somtimes VPN for 2 years (KYC passed) and have only one problem with cashout (when Cloudbet asked for documents about 5 days). Cashout from 0.002 to 0.8 BTC.
Read carefully T&C BEFORE gambling.
And if you fucked up and breach T&C - read Z72.6 from ICD, keep calm and don't spam.

When you register with Game Protect, you will play with consumer protection service inclusive!

When you register with AGD815, he will cry on the forums after being scammed!

Able to see the difference?

Evening all,

Damn, I take a couple of days off and suddenly everything is on fire when I get back!  Wink

AGD815 - I’ve spoken to our teams and they are confident in our findings when it comes to the player you contacted us about. The account was logged in to from multiple countries within minutes, and unless he’s discovered a way to teleport then it’s a clear case of VPN usage.

As I’ve stressed before, and despite the player trying to mislead us with claims of travel, we still allowed all deposits to be reclaimed before closing the account. I understand you are unhappy with this decision, but continuing to make threats of legal action and negative PR campaigns will not change this decision.

Youngamericandream - After investigating further our teams are confident that a VPN was used to bypass our territory restrictions. If you can provide evidence that disproves this then we should be able to get the whole issue settled very quickly.

The solution to these type of issues can be summed up pretty easily - if you are a resident of a country that we cannot offer our services to (USA, UK, Hong Kong, Singapore) then please don’t create an account at Cloudbet using a VPN to bypass our systems. There are plenty of alternatives out there who will happily accept players from those territories and you wont run the risk of having your account closed and bets voided.

Feels weird encouraging people to sign up with our competitors, but hey, it needed to be said.

Angry0ne - I’ve been told this is a known issue that is being worked on, we have had a couple of similar reports via this thread and I’ve been passing on all the details to the teams dealing with the problem. I’m hoping to get an update on progress soon, and I’ll PM you and post here when I do.

VINSIN - I'm part of the Social and Community team at Cloudbet, and it's usually just me using this account on BCT. Peter might sometimes jump on to cover downtime or post something specific, but he signs off as himself so you always know who you are speaking to.

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

Hello "Ronnie",

First it were me providing American documents, now it's you "being sure" i used a VPN to "bypass" your restrictions. Once I prove that I was traveling abroad via travel documents, what excuse will you come up with next?  Your website is going to shit and deservedly so. You are knowingly free rolling players. The right thing to do would be to pay out and close the account if you so wish. There has not been one instance where CloudScam has paid the losses back to the account holder because of violation of TOS, yet here we are on page 278 of complaints of you doing the opposite.

Enjoy all the new well deserved press.
