If you put that in your terms and conditions that players from certain countries are not welcome, why can they register via their IP address? A bit of good software and structure should easily ensure that you exclude those countries when visiting the site. This seems like an easy way to deceive people. They are allowed to create an account and deposit money, but if they want to pay out, you will check where they come from. That is not true. Why not an IP filter? I think this is really ridiculous for words how you deal with this customer now. Accept deposits, but you cannot withdraw. Then you have to be so professional and honest and make sure that people from the excluded countries do not even have access to the site. You use the claim of wrong land only when it suits you.

Maybe exfes should have know about his restricted country, but Cloudbet should have used more advanced technology and now it looks like they only want to use their tac when it is in their advantage. If somebody would have lost 100k, I am sure they would not void all the bets. I support exfes in this case.

The total cashout was 65 bitcoin cash about.  Which is about $14,000.  The total bitcoin misgrade was about $2,800.  So I had well enough to cover it.
If that's the case then they should at least return some of it back(imo). You can also start a thread in the Scam Accusation section (use this format) to see what the others think about your case.

OK i'm looking into that and will make a thread.  I need the funds so bad, you have no idea... things aren't easy right now.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5277995.new#new

if anyone wants to support the thread i'd appreciate it.  I just want the funds and never go to the site again.  It's not fair.  Especially if I rent places in Mexico just to be able to not have to deal with this.

In response to above post:

I was betting with bitcoin cash for the entire time.  There was a brief moment that I bet with bitcoin, but I went back to bitcoin cash.  After I had gone back to bitcoin cash, apparently when I went to withdraw I noticed the bitcoin balance was negative.  I figured they would take out the bitcoin cash to make up for the bitcoin misgrade.

The total cashout was 65 bitcoin cash about.  Which is about $14,000.  The total bitcoin misgrade was about $2,800.  So I had well enough to cover it.

On top of this, they are now saying it's nothing to do with the misgrade but it's because I provided verification documents from a US citizen.  And that the decision is final that they are voiding all the bets because of this.  This is unacceptable.  They also said that I am welcome back if I am not on US soil, but I haven't been on US soil this whole time, and the verification documents I provided were playing it safe because I do not like to provide personal documents.

Cloudbet needs to make this right as I have filed complaints with all the major boards.  This is not fair to have this loophole to just confiscate winnings and not pay out any losses that may have been incurred on the flip side.

Yes I had been using VPN's and VPS.  I wasn't on US soil.

Damn that was an easy free money promo on Man United vs Crystal Palace because I actually would have guessed 11 mins and that would have been close, just missed it cause we came late here. Did not even know Cloudbet was coming up to be more active, guess we have to check here more often;)
I wouldn't say the promo was easy money, the winners still have to clear the 10x rollover (with a minimum of 1.8 odds) before they could withdraw the prize.

I need someone's help here.
To make things short you initially played with BTC then Cloudbet misgraded some of your bets, after the misgrade you withdraw everything and switched to BCH? To make up for their losses, they confiscated your BCH?  I don't think you'll get your money back since it was a misgrade. If it was the other way around then there's a possibility since there was a similar case a year ago where the gambler broke the terms by using a vpn.

Hello there, efxes,

Thank you for reaching out to our Support team.

I completely understand your frustration, but please note; the account was not closed due to the negative BTC balance on your account, but because you have violated our Terms & Conditions by betting from a prohibited jurisdiction.

In such cases, the standard procedure is to withdraw the deposited amount and permanently close the account, however, as you have withdrawn more than you have deposited, there is no remaining balance to withdraw.

As mentioned in the previous email, you have breached the following terms of Cloudbet, thus the account is to remain blocked with no further actions to be taken;

7.1.3. You agree that at all times when using the Website, including making requests for withdrawal or transfers of funds, you are not physically located in any of the following countries:

the United States of America and its territories;
United Kingdom;
Hong Kong;
Singapore;
We greatly appreciate your understanding.

Please consider this email as our final communication on the matter.

Should you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Kind regards,

Molly
Senior Customer Support Representative

So in the case that I provided USA documents you would always refund the money lost as well, right?  This doesn't just end with you saying this is the final communication and we're taking $15,000.  It's supposed to be with you rewarding me the funds in the account and I will never bet there again because it's shady practice and my money is better spent elsewhere.

Dear @efxes; Opening an account from a prohibited jurisdiction is in violation of Cloudbet's Terms & Conditions, thus the account has been permanently closed. Bets that have been placed which otherwise would not have been accepted would, under normal circumstances be void and funds deposited returned. In your case, you have withdrawn far more than originally deposited so the remaining funds are not due to you.

I've followed up on this with our Support team, I can see that the final decision has been made and communicated to you explaining in detail the reason why, therefore, no further action will be taken on the matter.

I trust this meets your understanding.

I provided documents from someone from the USA, that doesn't mean it was bet while in USA.

Also, this isn't grounds for confiscating the funds of $15,000.  This makes zero sense.  You are reaching for any and all reasons just to take the money because you aren't happy losing it.  It's a lot of money for anyone to lose, and you don't want to be that losing party.  I've filed complaints with the gambling boards.  Being a citizen of USA doesn't make it right to take the money.

It's $15,000 and it's a lot.  You need to make it right.  It's not going to just end like that.  It's not an amount I can just write off because it was rightfully earned through risky wagers.

Security for both our clients and company is a top priority to ensure that our clients experience with Cloudbet is one they can trust.

As we do not accept players from your jurisdiction we have voided all of your bets and permanently closed your account.

By opening an account from a restricted country, you have breached our Terms & Conditions, thus you will not be able to continue using our website.

As this specific term state;

my response...

There are funds in the account that are mine.  I'm bringing up the information with all of the relevant authorities like AskGamblers and other fraud sites.

This is not fair to take the money that was rightly earned by my risk using my money.

I'm making a complaint on AskGamblers and writing on the forums on bitcointalk and reddit.  This is not fair to me.  I rightly earned the money, risked my money, I deposited a lot of money.  Actually I've deposited much more than I've won.

You can't just take the money because there was a negative bitcoin balance from a misgrade.  I had no idea about that.  I had BCH and I didn't know to look at the bitcoin balance while betting in BCH.  I'm bringing this up with complaint forum, you need to make this right.

I'm also not located in the USA, I bet only when traveling abroad and located in legal jurisdictions.  You need to make this right.  This is not acceptable to just confiscate the winnings because of a misgrade.  I don't know to look at all of the balances.

___________________________

I obviously won't be coming back or opening an account but I need the funds in the account because those were calculated risks I took and was relying on that money.  I used my last unemployment check and deposited it all to cloudbet.  I need someone's help here.

Note:  I will also add that on cloudbet, hidden are the balances of all the crypto separate that you are betting with.  I hadn't noticed the BTC balance had been negative until way later when I went to withdraw.  I had already made a sizeable BCH deposit and was betting there in BCH.  You don't notice the various balances until you go to the cashier to withdraw.  They are all separate balances.

Hello there, efxes,

I'm sorry to hear, that you've been having some difficulties with your account.

I have followed up on the matter with the Sports and Player Safety team now, and I can provide you with accurate information now.

The relevant team confirm, that the negative balance on your account was due to some bets that were graded as pushed incorrectly although they should have been settled as losses.

Once the bets were graded, you have withdrawn the funds that were incorrectly credited to you, thus the balance became negative as soon as these bets have been regraded accordingly.

Regardless of the negative BTC balance, you continued playing on our website using BCH, without informing our support team or crediting the funds back to your account, thus documentation was requested to verify the account.

Our Player Safety team confirmed, that they have verified your account and emailed you accordingly now, but I'm afraid as you have breached our Terms & Conditions by registering from a prohibited jurisdiction, you will not be able to continue playing on the site in the future.

In this particular email, you are stating that you've also had an account created before you started using this specific account, which means you have breached not one, but two of our terms, thus your account must remain closed, unfortunately.

Thanks for your understanding.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Best regards,
Team Cloudbet

______________________________________

I just received this message from cloudbet and now I'm understanding what is going on but it is incorrect.

I didn't notice the incorrect balance until after I had gone to withdraw BCH.  I had no idea there was even a negative balance, I just had looked at my balances.  I wasn't trying to evade a negative balance, I was actually betting in BCH the whole time, I randomly deposited bitcoin and was betting there, and then went back to BCH when that didn't go as well.  There was a misgrade and it went negative AFTER I had withdrawn the rest of the bitcoin and converted back to BCH.  I didn't know about the misgrade, I thought everything was right.

Besides that, I didn't have a previous account to my knowledge.  Like I said, I don't remember my previous account, and I don't have another account on your site.  You need to be aware of that.

There is 64 BCH that I have locked in your site and you can't just take that BCH.  I have filed a complaint on AskGamblers.  You can't just take my money because you made a misgrade and I didn't notice the misgrade.

Can someone please come to my defense here?  In regards to the accounts, I have no recollection of any of my previous accounts though I admitted I may have signed up before at some point.

You can't just steal 64BCH and be a legit book.

Thank you, I hate to lay out the numbers but we're talking 64 bitcoin cash BCH locked up with no response on why it's locked and these things.  I was betting on random tennis matches watching the streams, it's a great feature.

This is a lot to me, I own nothing.  I will be more patient.  Thank you for your support guys.  It's a great site.

.yes I already did that.  Now I guess I have to just wait.  Feeling helpless, the funds would change my life, whether I receive it or not.

Good to know you already provide what they required you to do and don't feel helpless since for sure they will released your funds if they clear their verification on your account if there's something like this happening right now

Appreciate anything cloudbet can do to get me the funds won from sportsbetting.  It hardly puts a dent into the BTC i've lost over the years, finally getting a little better at calling the bets and funds locked.  Ugh.

That's gamblers life and we should accept the fact that we have possibilities to lose our money on our bets. But those locking issues will surely be resolve once when they will be active here I see cloudbet doing a great job for this so far.

Really hoping they're just holding it for "safe keeping" so i don't go and blow it like always..  sigh.

Let see hopefully your issue will be resolved as soon as possible.

Sorry about the bad ordeal mate.
Have you tried sending a PM to their representative here?
I see they have been offline for a couple of days by they usually do try to speed up the process of resolving issue brought up here. If you haven't, just try sending them a PM, and they will try to resolve it first time they see it once they get online if it hasn't been worked upon by support yet.

Hello!  This is [email protected]

I just got frozen out of the account and asked to send in documents:  I did.

There was a mis-grade on the account and it said negative balance on the bitcoin balance but I had since switched to bitcoin cash.  I requested a couple withdrawals after going on a horrible run and cloudbet froze the account.

_________________________________________________

I just sent in all my verifying documents.  I could really really use the funds and I really like the site.  I've lost a lot of money to you guys, like a lot of BTC over the years, I just forget what my old logins are.  and I mean a LOT of bitcoin lol.  But i still keep coming back.

If there's any possible chance you can expedite the frozen account and pay it out, I have sent back in the documents requested (to my dismay, I hate it because people already have my documents from so many bitcoin transactions).

IF there's anything you can do to expedite this I'd appreciate it so so much.  I don't think I've done anything wrong, I just bet on live matches and lose tons of bitcoin lol.  A run happens occasionally....

Feel free to take from the bitcoin cash balance whatever is owed from the bitcoin misgrade and pay out the rest to the requested withdrawals.  I'm now frozen out of hte account.

If anyone has any insight on this situation please let me know.  I literally am a starving, unemployed musician during covid irresponsibly gambling and putting funds onto crypto gambling sites- obviously a sucker waiting to get taken but I'd really appreciate if cloudbet came through this time with the sports bets I won and wagered on.

I have lost over the past 7 years probably well over 100 bitcoins from poker winnings and stuff on the site.  I'd appreciate anything you can do.

Is there a max amount of eth I can withdraw without verification? Im worried about the scam accusations.
Cloudbet is one of the oldest gambling site and their reputation seems pretty fair though there have been complaints every once in a while they have always tried to resolve them.

About verification, I think they can ask it at anytime minus considering the limit so you have to be aware.

every bookmaker has scam accusations nowadays. you should look at the whole story and not only the site from those who complain. they exist quite a time now here.
if you have some worries about high withdrawals then you should try them with a low amount and check if everything goes smooth. and from there increase the amounts and deposits for example
