Yes it's a link to the ethpill virus.

Report them. I have probably reported 50+ of them over the last couple of days.
Report them to medium also. https://help.medium.com/hc/en-us/articles/217047977

I agree with you. We have been reporting these links for some time now @Lafu's Thread. And until now they where quickly deleted by the mods...

ETHPILL-Link (Github) #1

New method. Scammer only posts link to Medium, and there is the Etherpill Link.

Is this spam?

Read: "How to up your hashrate on PhoenixMiner" - Read on Medium

I've seen a couple of these already on the patrol, but I'm not sure about whether reporting it is the right thing to do....

For some reason medium is not pulling the post, but if enough people report it they might.

User daymn2020 is creating the same ANN on different boards (Altcoin Discussion, Bitcoin Discussion, Mining) and after thread gets deleted like it happened yesterday in Bitcoin Discussion board, he just made another one today (overall 5 so far) and it doesn't look like he will stop easily.

Can this be seen as a spam so he gets nuked and all those topics deleted, since he is using new account made yesterday solely for that purpose. On top of that, all he is doing is advertising an obvious ponzi website, for which I reported him yesterday.

edit: I see daymn2020  has been nuked, thnx for quick reaction!

I've seen that happen a couple of times, but either because the edited version is still a shitpost or because the moderator handling it did some research, they get deleted too.

I believe it's some kind of attempt to far some accounts until they loose the newbie rank to then continue spamming. They wouldn't show up on patrol and can't get nuked...

@mods keeping an eye on this topic, any chance to delete/lock/archive [ANN] Anonyme 🌟 An Autonomous Interest Rate Protocol for breaking forum rules (incentivizing posting in exchange for tokens)?

@masulum provided proof of that. I just checked and that same airdrop requirement is still there and spam doesn't stop.

Both of us reported that thread for breaking forum rules, but for some reason it's still there, and report is unhandled, despite the fact that more than 300 spam posts have been deleted just today on that thread. Here is how that looks like https://loyce.club/archive/details/topic_5288431.html
Wouldn't it be much easier to simply lock or delete the thread instead deleting hundreds of posts when OP of that ANN is breaking forum rules on purpose as he didn't stop when warned by @masulum that what he is doing is wrong?

Edit : thread has been deleted now.

I was randomly checking the Scam Accusation board and before going on a patrol streak I read the following thread.

On one of the latest replies, I read that they had started some sort of Airdrop program, but the post had been deleted (original here)
Oops, he just launched an airdrop program using another account.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5287075

Not long after starting to go trough the patrol, I found another Airdrop thread for this said wallet; and now that I'm still scrolling past patrol; I have found a third thread created by another account. I'm posting this here to use as a reference when reporting the post; either for plagiarism or multiposting (it's most likely the same person using multiple accounts).

After finding that third thread; I did a quick search on tryninja's website (thanks a lot for creating it) and found a total of 6 threads, some of which have already been taken care of. Posting the links here in case you want to report them too

Thread 1  ----  INACTIVE
Thread 2  ----  INACTIVE
Thread 3  ----  INACTIVE
Thread 4  ----  INACTIVE
Thread 5  ----  INACTIVE
Thread 6  ----  INACTIVE

The project goes by the name LAZEUX.

New day, new name for the project; same shitty spam. They are now going by the name of CEBER FINANCE

Well, I have just checked and the second report got also marked as "good", but the thread is still there. I'm going to assume that moving it to the Archival was something similar to sending the thread to the graveyard; altough I don't completely agree as I would have just nuked the thread and user; but then again, I'm no mod, just a humble reporter

Being serious now, I think sometimes it takes a while until a good report (flagged as good) gets action done towards it (either it means a post gets deleted or a topic gets locked).
Might be the case here too, that's true. Anyway, it was kinda interesting how that thread keeps dodging certain death.

Sometimes nothing happens towards the good reports, but other things happen toward the author. I remember I had a few hundreds of good reports made for a guy (I hope I remember this well as I can't verify in my report history anymore, as more than 30 days passed and the reports are gone) but they were never deleted. However, the author got banned. So maybe MeowCoinCommunity got banned?
That could have happened because hundreds of posts of the same author were deleted, so mods decided it's time for retirement. From my experience in similar cases, OP of such threads are usually not banned. Just to be sure I checked some previous cases and none of them are banned, but maybe that wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Hmmmmm I can't really tell how SMF works, but back when I used to do some mod work in another forum, the system would only let you mark the reports as good after you had taken any action. But again, I have never worked with SMF
I honestly just assumed that as it happened more times to me and others, and kinda made sense that it was all manual and that there was no such mechanism that prevents you marking good if post was not deleted.

It's simple really, and it happens occasionally; mod marked it good and forgot to delete. It happens, as everything is done manually, and if you are mod and deleting hundreds of posts/topics in a row, "mistake" is bound to happen.

AFAIK bans are instant (nuked if new accounts), and BPIP is not showing any of those on the profile

EDIT: alright, the post is now in Archival, I think that was the action taken by mods....

Thanks @GazetaBitcoin, but it seems like Meow survived both of our reports. Since it's Meow coin, I guess it makes sense that it has nine lives  Tongue

Report marked as "Good" but it's still there and still being spammed. I'm gonna report it again, let's see what happens this time.

Looool trues! My report look the same. Being serious now, I think sometimes it takes a while until a good report (flagged as good) gets action done towards it (either it means a post gets deleted or a topic gets locked). However, the author got banned. So maybe MeowCoinCommunity got banned? Or his account is in course of being banned...? Just wait a few days prior making the new report, this is what I would recommend. Not hurry with it as it may get flagged as bad this time, if it's made prior the action per se is taken for the previous report.

Indeed, it's also possible that the mod forgot to delete / lock the topic, but we can't know if it's that or if it takes a while for seeing the action taken against the topic / author.

Apart from reporting the OP, maybe we could also individually report each address-only post and see if we get lucky
Thought about it too, but then again there's 5 pages of that crap, and topic will be nuked sooner or later so it would just make more work for us and mods, so i gave up on that idea.

Can someone else report that thread please for organizing giveaway in exchange for comments? Maybe then thread will be nuked.

Jist did it! As always, have no fear, the cleaner is here!

Now lets's hope that mods will take action. Report is done.

For some reason MEOW COIN thread is still there, and still being spammed by TRX adresses while my report is unhandled. Obvious cases like this are usually sorted very fast, but maybe I'm missing something here. Anyway, this is how all 5 pages of that thread look like. Nothing but spam

Another case of breaking the forum rules and organizing token giveaway in exchange for ANN thread comments. So naturally, thread has been spammed with TRX adresses and it's been going for days now, since October 29th.

Ann [ANN]⚡[MEOW]⚡TRX - MEOW COIN was created base on TRC20 (Tron network)

I wouldn't be surprised to see the DeFi spam/scam reach ICO levels.
By the looks of it, might even surpass it.

Thanks, I've added it to my Find spam list. Earlier today I added AnonymousMask.Finance already, I wouldn't be surprised to see the DeFi spam/scam reach ICO levels.
