Maybe a good solution for perma banned Accounts would be that they cant send anymore or share Merits.
As far as I know, banned accounts can't send sMerit. But as long as their posts are online, they can receive Merit.

Quote
The Merits from them can be also taken from theymos and put it in a pot and once of the end of a month they would be sended out to the Merit sources.
Theymos doesn't need to scrape off sMerits, he can create all the sMerit he wants instantly.

Ok havnt know that , but whats about airdroped normal Merits , are they handled the same way on that as smerits ?
Yeah for sure theymos can create as many merits he wants , maybe also it could be an idea to disable banned acounts from receiving Merits.
Full punishment for perma banned Accounts.
But i guess theymos will be doing something or not.  Tongue

When they are perma banned why the should be allowed to send Merits anymore ?
If some Accounts gets recovered because they was hacked the Merits can be restored simple.

Dont know thats just an Idea !

Maybe I didn't post clear enough but the stats as you said are for people sending merit to accounts which eventually got banned. Thanks for the shared time. I'm on the phone and this kind of research is way more easily done on a pc instead of mobile.
I noticed the other names but I wasn't sure now seems there might be connection in between those accounts. Possibly an account farm? Ill be away for a couple of days and with no access to PCs.
Maybe this is a job for Cryptios @Rizzrack?

As I said there's something fishy there.

I don't know if you guys are keeping eye on the merit senders to banned users but this one looks suspicious : https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/peanutswar-2762272
Most of the top senders are merit sources and its acceptable to send sometimes to accounts that look promising but turn out to be plagiarists or crossing the rules somehow. But this guy is not a merit source at least I could not see is as one. He has sent merit to 19 banned users based on the stats from theymos : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=topsendban

If anyone has the time to make a little deeper check I'll appreciate it Smiley looks quite fishy to me. There are other people in the list with aslo interesting stats..
First of all, I think that stats from theymos count amount of merit sent to banned users, and not the number of banned users that someone merited. With that being said, there is some strange coincidence, as beside the one you already mentioned, 3 more names stick out on that list that don't really have high amount of merit sent, but for some reason they all sent big chunk of their merit to the same banned user, Serious475

Among others, Serious475 received:
-22 merits from Peanutswar
-9 from Alucard1
-7 from Trinx01
-5 from Eureka_07

Those 4 accounts tend to exchange merit among themselves too:

Alucard1 sent most of his merit to Peanutswar, Trinx01 and Eureka 07
Trinx01 sent 7/10 of his merit to the same account, Serious475. Out of 3 other accounts that received merit from him, two are Alucard1 and Peanutswar
Eureka07 sent most of his merit to  Peanutswar, Serious475 and Alucard1
Peanutswar sent most of his merit to Alucard01, Serious475 and Eureka_07

Now whether this is just a coincidence, I don't know. But I do know that merit abuse is kinda hard to prove. Maybe there is something to be found among addresses being used for campaigns, but its getting kinda late here to start that kind of work.

not sure if these new accounts are paid by paradice.in to advertise them or just individuals wanting to advertise their referrals and their feelings( Roll Eyes) but these new accounts are spamming the forum of paradise.in's faucet, referrals, or what they felt using the platform.

edit:
I just found out(thanks to @AceFairy) why there is a sudden surge of new accounts posting on their ANN thread and shilling Paradice.in(photo below for reference). I know BTC giveaway is allowed but is it allowed if it forces people to leave a review about their website on their thread in order to get the 500 satoshi?

I checked JelenaFDB post history and this isn't the first time the user posting announcements on different threads and so far none of the user's posts has been deleted according to bpip.

this guy Movie2U thought he is slick and being sneaky by putting white coloured fonts on his link(photo below for reference). it's funny how creative they are becoming at concealing their links. that being said as funny as it is please nuke the guy. it's clear he has a bad reason for concealing the links on his post

Most likely they are connected. SOme of them have some weird "coincidence":
-snip
just checked their latest posts and they really do post one after the other. I think this confirms that they are connected it is too much of a coincidence that the majority of their post is on the same thread and only minutes apart.

I need help to confirm if these guys are being used by the same person. I am not certainly sure because the only thing I can connect them is that all(most) they are posting on the same threads and only minutes apart. I got curious about their accounts because their post on this thread(Bitcoin legit or not) either start with "I think bitcoin is legal" or "Bitcoin is legal"

On Top posters on Bitcointalk in the past 7 days, I noticed Jr. Member arrangut (1 earned Merit) with 80 posts in the last week.

His post history shows his agenda:
3 posts shilling "PayAccept"
3 posts shilling "NEXT"
3 posts shilling "SOVI"
4 posts shilling "PayAccept"
5 posts shilling "NEXT"

He reposts the same phrases many times, but I don't really want to go through his hundreds of posts. If anyone has the time, please do Smiley

I have a task to fininsh but it will take some time.
So if anyone want to grab it and help, it's good.
I won't put names so they cannot easly find this post.

THere's a guy on fiverr doing his bumping job.
https://www.fiverr.com/seospecialist01?source=gig_cards&referrer_gig_slug=bump-up-your-bitcointalk-ann-thread&ref_ctx_id=0941303c-3cae-4818-ada5-be05fd4a5ea5

I manage to locate two of the threads he was managing and will need to connect the bumping accounts, then just nuke them and ban his accounts and delete those Ann threads, using bimping service is obvious cheating and will most likely leading to scam projects.
Let's see:

The ANN thread :  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-ieo-p2pb2b-30-bonus-l2l-token-sustainable-world-5179650

Difficult to read the Ann thread but I'll keep diging.

Earlier today @LordShanken reported Cocoricos thread as being suspicious in the thread where I keep an eye on projects that hired bumping service.

The thread is full of comments from users whose accounts were created probably just to talk only about this project.
I don't know if someone has purchased bumping service or creates these accounts by himself, but it looks quite suspicious: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/anndefi-the-fastest-way-to-earn-defi-passive-income-5305207

Since most accounts were newly created and spammed the thread with  most basic one liners for days, I suspected it might be the case of rewarding users with tokens in exchange for comments and not hiring one of the bumping services, therefore breaking the forum rule. Upon checking Cocoricos site my suspicious was confirmed as one of the requirements for airdrop tokens is to comment on their thread, among other dishonest things like asking for Trustpilot reviews.

These are just some of the requirements, and those referring to bitcointalk are marked red

Since you mentioned bounty reports I remember what happened a few months ago. I reported an empty or "reserved" post which I found on the patrol page and when it was handled was marked as bad, later found out that the guy actually changed his post into an actual report. I think I have like 3-4 bad reports just because of that.

The empty bounty reports are very odd to me. It almost looks to me like someone is botting those accounts and fucked up.
I wouldn't be surprised if most of the bounty spam comes from bots, just a few people managing hundreds of accounts to create millions of useless posts.
