As far as BitBar, I do need an exchange.  Pricing can change so far that I need somewhere I can scrape prices from.

bter.com is considering it. You will most likely get PMs when/if that happens Smiley

‘Try to be nice’
Now use your site over dustcoin, looks very nice ,

can you add NVC please?

sorry if it has been mentioned.

also i'd suggest trimming dead coins as they die,( you can keep your Advert that way)  it looks kind of like that's what's happening with CNC at least price wise.

i'd suggest dropping the dead SHA-256 coins ASICS doom all but the meaningful ones.

but hey who knows?  I'm not a hater, full love to all Crypts !

I like this site, adding of new coins happens with excellent speed. You seem to have taken the comma out from >1000% profitable values so the sorting works now too  Wink

Could you add BitBar in there, I think the google docs (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvzceU1B6xtPdFg0M2kza2pQQ2o0b2RzNFZnRlNiclE#gid=0) and tradings in this forum could be enough to put a preliminary values in there. This would most likely benefit BitBar as it's nice publicity and your site would definitely be on top of the new things. Dustcoin is very nice site too, but it seems to take quite a while until new coins are added there, thats a drawback in my opinion.

CryptoTalk.Org - Get Paid for every Post!
It occurs to me, their is another factor that needs to be considered in these profitability calculators, the rate of orphaned and otherwise wasted blocks.  This can cut significantly into a miners actual profitability margin, it may not be possible to really figure it out though.

It would also be interesting to see the total hash rates for the various coins and how much they are 'over-clocking' their target rates, this can be calculated from the block rate and difficulty, not if it can be directly scraped from block explorers but some raw numbers that could yield it should be.  It is admittedly just academic but I've been wondering about it lately and their seems to be no consolidated source to view this kind of information about alt coins.

It will be, but the FRC protocol needs to be modified (hardfork) for that. That will happen when FRC hashrate is high enough on its own, so that BTC miners that don't like it can't use merged mining to attack it.

Is that for Freicoin to be mergeable or for Freicoin to be the main coin with merging NMC, IXC, etc?

That would be for Freicoin to be mergeable at all.
maaku plans to modify the current merged mining algorithm so that it is more scalable and there's really no "main coin".
Now, we put all the altcoin chain hashes into the bitcoin block. That of course is not scalable to merged mine 1000 different coins.
What he wants to do is like a chain of chains referring to each other in a "queue". The internals are somewhat similar to what p2pool does, but better ask him.
So when we prepare Freicoin for merged mining we want to also "fix" the current scheme to make it more scalable. I don't see why the other merged mined altcoins wouldn't change to our approach once we give em the code.
