On 19 February 2014 at 17:32, I tried to make a withdrawal of 1362685 DOGE.

I received the confirmation email and clicked on the confirmation link. My withdrawal was then confirmed, but was not allocated a transaction ID. The coins were not sent, and the DOGE wallet was removed from coinmarket.io shortly afterwards.

On 24 February 2014 at 01:50, coinmarket.io posted on this thread:
Doge wallet should be back by the end of tomorrow.
Seven days later, it is not back, and I have heard nothing further from coinmarket.io.

On 27 February 2014 at 04:41, @CoinMarketio tweeted that "Withdrawals that failed without an txid being provided (some 20 of them) will be processed manually - in the next 8 hours, probably faster": https://twitter.com/CoinMarketio/status/439017538996146176
104 hours later, my withdrawal has not been processed, manually or otherwise, and I have heard nothing further from coinmarket.io.

I can see from dogechain that the coins are still at the coinmarket address to which I deposited them:
http://dogechain.info/address/DMugxPsYi6d1Rh5EURMojraP2GHsTTbjR3
...and not in my own wallet, where they should be:
http://dogechain.info/address/DK6X3t77BhxQojv3v5cvvHMgd2PXyeYUh3

This has already cost me a considerable amount in trading opportunity. Coinmarket, provide an update please.

Two weeks after my withdrawal request, I am still being ignored.

I think they have completely broken it and are way out of there depth or they really have stolen what is left. Barely any updates since it went down a week ago, absolutely appalling service to its users, takes 5 seconds to post a twitter update keeping people informed.  Do you really think they will have used legit personal details anywhere? they are gone along with your coins with no way of tracking them.

If I remember correctly the plan for coinmarket.io was to add more staff. The exchange was making decent enough profits for it not having to steal. In fact a lot of people were really positive about it but I do feel the exchange is short staffed for handling situations like this.

Thread-puller extraordinaire
I think most people were willing to give the young dev a chance to correct this problem but as more time passes with no communication whatsoever, the greater the suspicion that something is rotten in Denmark, no, Norway.

If he is reading this thread, I'd have one word of advice for him:

Even if everything is going/has gone to shit and you don't know how to handle this situation, ask for help. There are people on this forum who know that helping a failing exchange fix its problems is far better than yet another mainstream news report about yet another failed exchange.

The longer you leave this without communicating, the greater the groundswell of opinion that you are intentionally defrauding people.

Talk.

CoinMarket.io is watching is thread very closely and they're hoping that the anger will just fade away in thin air.

Your coins are gone, the owner of the exchange is not posting here any more.  Exchange is dead and we have all lost our money.   Hopefully their personal details will be posted up soon and people can go visit them in person if they wish.

Hey Guys, I noticed that they were having a lot of down time prior, hence why i withdrew my coins before the extensive down time period !

It's pretty slack on coinmarket.io for not providing better communication with it's users but hey, they did say that it was a 'As is Beta' and last time I lost money I learn't to take the following precautions to mitigate risk online Cheesy

1. Don't use exchanges or online market places as a storage wallet; I recommend depositing funds, then doing your business and withdrawing the next day or before you leave the computer. Don't leave coins unattended for a week or so otherwise you might get a nasty surprise (SR2 for me) or some unexpected down time.
2. Keep a local wallet for coins you trade with, so you can quickly send coins to and from the exchange/market place when you are not at the computer
3. Pay attention to whats going on, keep informed and do some research on the exchange you want to trust your money with

It's simple guys, regulation isn't going to help the community.. if anything it will damage cryptos like 'regulation' did to fiat and will allow for greedy wall street bastards to get their grubby mits on our money

Peace guys, happy crypt o-trading Smiley
