While choosing to be sure that it can be used by many audiences in the future and gain value. You can invest in ICOs. NEO, EOS are my favorite conglomerates. You could be very profitable to invest.
There are many good coins to hold for long period of time but its hard to predict right now because we see the market is almost all are turning red. Much better to hold the main coin which is bitcoin what ever happen you have a choice to full out easily or buy other coin because in bitcoin you can do what ever you want.

Yes no doubt that a lot of altcoins price has dropped too much, but I think that investment there in current time is too much safe and secure, because in current time we are not expecting any more decrease in their price, I hope that now the price of some potentially good altcoin will very soon get recover.

In my opinion coins in general cannot be stored long. It is the same money which lie at you in a box and which are eaten by inflation. It is better to take cryptocurrency and to trade in it at the exchanges.

For me nem and nano is both promising and a lot of investor really knows nem and nano and lastly eos is one of the best altcoins that is really growing really fast, i know this year eos can pump it's price very high and all the holders will have a great benefits.I would add NEO to this couple of altcoins. I am sure, that less than in 4-5 months they will be among the leaders. TRON, VeChain, Ontology, Credits, KuCoin and Qtum are also the tokens which will go up.
My opinion is that the most promising token for long-term retention is Bitcoin. He has the biggest support in the world. And he really makes a profit. 
In the long term, I always do Bitcoin because only on Bitcoin investments that have a ratio that is not large because prices will quickly reach the highest level with altcoins. in my opinion you should find coins which is strong leader and team and lots of people who believe that coin with all their hearts. for example i love wanchain and believe she will fly soon.
Well aside on bitcoin and ethereum, there are still a lot of coins that is really good to hold for long term, many investor is also trusting waves because it is also trending in different countries and lastly neo and stellar are both cryptos that is really good for long term investing.
I think Dash, neo, waves are good enough for long-term hold. these three coins will definitely experience a significant increase and will shine in the future.

For now, maybe the most popular one is Doge. And I think that this altcoin is starting to be developed seriously, and is very feasible for long-term investments. And with market capitalization that is still quite small, I think there is still a lot of potential available.

There are two types of investment, namely short-term investment and long-term investment. Coin storage depends on our own whether you want long-term or short-term investment. long term only for our future and short term only to trade day to day to get a quick profit.
I prefer NEO is my favorite project in which I believe and follow all the updates and news. I hope for a speedy recovery of the price and its large profits.
