Ngayon ko lang napansin na nag release pala sila ng article nung isang araw tungkol sa mga changes: What changes can I expect from the Coins app upgrade?
-

It's nice to know that sa wakas, isang 2FA code lang ang pwede natin gamitin sa Coins and Coins Pro.

Sa akin kasi naka level 2 [downgraded from level 3].

As others suggested, Binance and Bybit P2P are two of the best options for now.

Or with the advent of e-wallets like Gcash and Paymaya, we have more options and might sway away from Cebuana or M Lhuillier (as far as I my experience, if you are going to be cashing out big amounts like 20k and up, you have to notify them early so that they can prepare the money).

As an Americano I can't use Binance for that purpose although I have seen the P2P to Gcash work pretty well. I have both Gcash and PayMaya, am waiting from to enable crypto deposits and trading. Someone I know here got early access to Gcash crypto and it appears to work pretty well. It seems like Gcash is limited on remittance partners tho.

Luckily Coins.ph fixed the problem and the solution is to wait 12 hours before receiving an email from Dragonpay, then I need to tell the cashier the payment is from Dragonpay. That worked the last couple times I did it. Kind of annoying but at least it works. Still can't transfer funds to other wallets, however.

Oh ok, and as suggested by @ inthelongrun, maybe you can used your girlfriends info to Binance is she is ok with that? I mean all of us here are in the consensus that Coins.ph services is somewhat distressing at some point and that's why Binance and Bybit P2P is now becoming the most used options for us in converting our BTC->PHP.

I don't have early access from Gcash crypto though, would love to try it if ever I get a chance although I'm into their other forms of investments, just to test it out.

Too bad, Binance P2P is really the best nowadays when cashing out in Ph. Quick, safe, and cheap/free. Are you married to a local? If yes, then you can use her name to create a Binance account. And if you want to secure your funds alone, then you can fund and use it only during cashouts.

I'm also curious as to why you need to visit a remittance center just to withdraw funds. IIRC, foreigners can open bank accounts and acquire ATM cards. That would be easier for you to withdraw anytime 24/7 with just a maintaining balance of Php 100 to Php1,000.

Puro fees lang sa gcash bawat transfer at puwede na rin naman siya kung gusto ng madaliang transfer like if you want to send your crypto directly to Gcash and just sell it on their gcrypto, I've done a couple of times and sort of convenient for me. But it's still has a different range of pair from the usual platforms we use like those that you've mentioned Binance and Bybit's p2p.

Weird to see they dropped LBC as a cashout option and re-added Cebuana (I remember back when they had Cebuana years ago).

Its fine for me because I switched to using M Lhuillier a few months ago b/c I like the 1% fee, however, they have now bumped the fee up to 2% and their new system is having problems, gave me an invalid reference number. It was not recognized by the M Lhuillier clerk. I reached out to support but they appear to be stumped after about 20 hours now.

Welcome back kuya, I agree that it's bad customer support if your money is being held for 20 hours or so. I no longer using Cebuana or M Lhuillier or even LBC (when they still support them), since like 2019-2020. It's the fees, as you have mentioned, the fees before is very high for that kind of service and if they are going to increased it, then customers might look for other options.

As others suggested, Binance and Bybit P2P are two of the best options for now.

I therefore don't recommend using M Lhuillier as a cashout option for the time being. Hopefully they'll fix it soon, I hate it when my money gets held up like this.

Edit: they are having major problems right now that aren't reflected on their status page. Can't cash out, can't transfer funds, can't do much of anything but sit and wait. I know I'm not the only one, others are starting to complain elsewhere:

For me, whether it's Cebuana or LBC, both are convenient but why they can't just keep both of them? Well then, too many reasons why some of the users here including me have left coins.ph already. With this experience of yours, it's better if you use some other platforms but then if this is the most convenient for you, can't do much with these problems. When Wei has taken over the ownership and leadership, these problems existed. I've never experienced the wrong ref # with them when I've used to cash out with coins.ph before.

Thanks for sharing your situation @nutildah.

Have you tried using Binance P2P instead? No offense to the Coins.ph representatives if they can read my post here, but actually, Binance P2P is more reliable at the moment. I have been using it for a while now, and I haven't had any problems.

It's just a simple trade of my crypto into my GCash account, and the transaction is done.

Sorry for bumping the thread that has been inactive for a month already.

If yes, paano niyo naresolba yung issue?

May point ka, pero kahit sabihin natin na baguhan lang sila noong naviolate nila ang terms of services, responsibility parin nila yung bilang users ng Coins to read all of the terms before agreeing with them.

How do I convert my cryptocurrency to cash and vice-versa?

coins.ph user ako since May 2014 pa.

Yun din ung time na first time ko gamitin ung Binance P2P.
Nakakabring back memories din yung mga inquiries ko dati sa mga support nila like Thea which is napakabait and sobrang approachable that time. Di pa ako masyadong knowledgable sa crypto that time and they pursued me to know more about crypto which is a very good response sa support ng isang crypto wallet. I just don't know hows the current performance of coins.ph when it comes to customer service pero I commend the OG customer support of coins.ph.
