The main problem is they are trying to cut costs but they are going to lose a whole bunch of customers in the process. Even for me, they're not the only game in town anymore. Gcash just enabled crypto deposits, and unlike coins.ph, they aren't reliant on ETH or BSC pegged tokens. Their conversion fee is also cheaper (2% as opposed to 3%). Sad to see this happen after so many years of doing a good job but that's the way it goes.
Yes you are right that mate after there's a management changes we can say that coins.ph are not like the coins.ph before also some customers transfer to another e wallets such us paymaya but now Gcash enabled crypto and less fee then many people will transfer.

So meron palang pagbabago sa Coins.ph,

Quote
GameFi and Web3 Executive Jen Bilango Joins Coins.ph as PH Country Manager

https://bitpinas.com/business/jen-bilango-coins-ph-country-manager/

And according to the article, mukhang makikipag compete sila sa mga e-wallets like Gcash and Paymaya. Kaya siguro and Coins.ph eh natataranta na hehehe.

Heto yun, according to Users Agreement nila:

I remember that as well, I used to make a cashout using Cebuana simply because we have an outlet nearby where I was situated before, I think that was around 2017. I've noticed it late that they have removed Cebuana in the cashout options as I switch to cardless withdrawals with Security Bank as well. It's just so surprising that they now removed LBC as a cashout option, LBC is one of the mainstream delivery and monetary transfer company, that's really weird. I'm not sure if it's connected with the ongoing issues with Coins.ph these days. I've saw a lot of people complaining in facebook and some even had bad reviews posted on YouTube.
I'm pretty sure, with all the issues they have right now marami na naman ang lilipat sa ibang wallet and tuluyan ng iwan itong si Coins.ph lol.

Whats weird is they have two versions of the app right now. Its hard to tell who gets which one but I suspect mine is different since I'm a foreigner, and thus more limited. I've noticed some people still have LBC as a remittance option (but not me). On mine they added Cebuana and 7-Eleven, but that must be a mistake. I don't think 7-Eleven processes cash-outs, just cash-ins. It says "unavailable," as it does for Palawan.

I have to go through this DragonPay system now which is annoying, they only process remittance requests once a day. If you submit a request after 1:30 PM, you have to wait until the next day before the remittance code they give you is valid. Before it used to be instant, or 10 minutes at most.

It seems to me they are trying to cut costs and disguising it as a design overhaul.

Weird to see they dropped LBC as a cashout option and re-added Cebuana (I remember back when they had Cebuana years ago).

Its fine for me because I switched to using M Lhuillier a few months ago b/c I like the 1% fee, however, they have now bumped the fee up to 2% and their new system is having problems, gave me an invalid reference number. It was not recognized by the M Lhuillier clerk. I reached out to support but they appear to be stumped after about 20 hours now.

I therefore don't recommend using M Lhuillier as a cashout option for the time being. Hopefully they'll fix it soon, I hate it when my money gets held up like this.

Edit: they are having major problems right now that aren't reflected on their status page. Can't cash out, can't transfer funds, can't do much of anything but sit and wait. I know I'm not the only one, others are starting to complain elsewhere:

Ngayon ko lang napansin na nag release pala sila ng article nung isang araw tungkol sa mga changes: What changes can I expect from the Coins app upgrade?
-

It's nice to know that sa wakas, isang 2FA code lang ang pwede natin gamitin sa Coins and Coins Pro.

Sa akin kasi naka level 2 [downgraded from level 3].

As others suggested, Binance and Bybit P2P are two of the best options for now.

Or with the advent of e-wallets like Gcash and Paymaya, we have more options and might sway away from Cebuana or M Lhuillier (as far as I my experience, if you are going to be cashing out big amounts like 20k and up, you have to notify them early so that they can prepare the money).

As an Americano I can't use Binance for that purpose although I have seen the P2P to Gcash work pretty well. I have both Gcash and PayMaya, am waiting from to enable crypto deposits and trading. Someone I know here got early access to Gcash crypto and it appears to work pretty well. It seems like Gcash is limited on remittance partners tho.

Luckily Coins.ph fixed the problem and the solution is to wait 12 hours before receiving an email from Dragonpay, then I need to tell the cashier the payment is from Dragonpay. That worked the last couple times I did it. Kind of annoying but at least it works. Still can't transfer funds to other wallets, however.

Oh ok, and as suggested by @ inthelongrun, maybe you can used your girlfriends info to Binance is she is ok with that? I mean all of us here are in the consensus that Coins.ph services is somewhat distressing at some point and that's why Binance and Bybit P2P is now becoming the most used options for us in converting our BTC->PHP.

I don't have early access from Gcash crypto though, would love to try it if ever I get a chance although I'm into their other forms of investments, just to test it out.

Too bad, Binance P2P is really the best nowadays when cashing out in Ph. Quick, safe, and cheap/free. Are you married to a local? If yes, then you can use her name to create a Binance account. And if you want to secure your funds alone, then you can fund and use it only during cashouts.

I'm also curious as to why you need to visit a remittance center just to withdraw funds. IIRC, foreigners can open bank accounts and acquire ATM cards. That would be easier for you to withdraw anytime 24/7 with just a maintaining balance of Php 100 to Php1,000.
