I've successfully loaded 1.05 Bitcoins to my trashed blockchain account  Grin

I'll sell the whole account for 0.1 BTC Tongue
ok gimme me 0.1 BTC and i will eh get that account from you

back to bussiness: i have a question with all this spam/stress test/ddos...hundred/thousands of unconfirmed and delayed transactions, high fees...etc,  why the btc price is relatively stable {yet}?

The price went down but recovered briefly.

IMO it's because people see that the claimed 30 day backlog isn't going to happen with just the giveaway.

Mempool is increasing about 100kb every 4-12 seconds it seems. Good job you guys. Well played.
People really need to stop doing this. Obviously the plan from Coinwallet.eu is working out. It looks like they had a backup plan if problems (e.g. legal pressures) came up. I doubt that someone figured out something devious such as this so quickly.
People really need to stop it. Most of the recent private keys contained around $4 each and it is not worth anyone's time. You are suffocating the network! It is only becoming worse.

Not really if you look at normal transactions like this one https://blockchain.info/tx/0cb1562aa7f6d599a81ced96c181194028ce14b7f8d55d0fdeccb872813f43ea  are getting thru fine that particular one took 3 min to confirm.  Its only the ones that pertain to this "giveaway" that are filling up the mempool and creating the backlog.

This transaction looks like maybe someone trying to get some of the giveaway coins.

Small dust transactions will take a LONG time to confirm in this environment but normal transactions will confirm as normal.

all pools should make a script to take the addresses from this thread and burn the coins...
if they state in public maybe others are able to stop their greed and we can turn back to normal.

this remembers me of the dark ages where rich people threw cents to the poor; watching them fight over them... its disgusting!

You didn't cancelled your shitty Stress Test. You just use people greediness so they make it by their own so you can't get in charge for this. But you still do it

Well played indeed

...about 160 MB backlog and 43 k unconfirmed transaction right now

Still a long ways off the promised 30 day backlog.  I wonder if this brilliant game theory scheme can actually create that much chaos.  It would be devastating to prove that with less than $50k some lone actor could literally cripple the biggest and supposedly best payment system in the world.

or.. it will only make it more resilient to spam tx within some next patch Wink

+no ph0rk needed.

For all you noobies... Here is an explanation from the DASH thread as to why it's pretty pointless trying to cash in on these free BTC's

This is the stress test.  They are just having anyone that wants to claim the bitcoin do the test for them.  Plus now there are multiple users trying to get the same transactions.  Smart in a way.  So we had a backlog of 60MB(10hrs) of transactions last night.  Now we are at 160MB(26.6hrs).  It looks like the back log increases an hour every hour.  Anyone actually wanting to send bitcoin should raise the fee to at least .0004, this will need to be higher as the test goes on.

For anyone interested, each private key is filled with .00001 transactions.  You can only transfer about 675 inputs out at at time, which is about $1 in BTC after fees.  You spend your time selecting inputs and waiting for the wallet to manage the enormous amount of inputs.  By sending BTC you are feeding the test and delaying transactions.

People really need to stop it. You are suffocating the network! It is only becoming worse.

They've successfully made their point though, haven't they?
Just a relatively few people increasing the transaction volume and the network becomes "suffocated."
The community should address the capacity issue in one way or another.

If people are idiots nothing actually solves anything. Smiley

I remember they said the stress test could create a 30 day backlog. Wouldn't that require a ~4Gb mempool? I don't think it could be reached.
