Corruption is a situation that deeply affects the economy and greatly harms its progress. It is very difficult to achieve the desired progress without dealing with corruption because there is no place for corruption in the natural progress of the economy. The impoverishment of countries that are rich in resources due to corruption is one of the greatest evils done to those countries.

The fight against corruption needs to be done in a real way. If this fight is done as it should be, many positive situations such as the development of economies, the increase in citizens' incomes, and the decrease in inflation will also occur.
We call it a moral emergency aimed at leaders and they lose their identity to set a good example for society and most of them are influenced by the political costs incurred when they run for office. Corruption destroys the order of a country because there are great losses that they do and it is difficult to build a country to be more advanced if the leaders in it commit more corruption crimes. It is difficult to eradicate corruption if the punishment given does not have a deterrent effect that has an impact on their social life so that they never care about the existing law.

The way to eradicate corruption for them has an impact on social life and their entire family will be ashamed so that the urge to commit corruption will make them stop a little. Although the level of effectiveness may not be guaranteed, but when talking about social life towards his family, it might give them a little attention.

So crucial steps are needed to prevent corruption such as building a strong legal system and effective monitoring mechanisms, the government must work together with all levels of society to combat corruption in order to increase the country's economic growth.
how would a government fight itself? the thing is why corruption can't end is because as long as there is at least one inside the government that is corrupt, corruption will continue to spread and inflict others a corrupt politician in position will always have means to steal and to bribe anyone that tries to go against him and if someone is brave enough to go against a corrupt politician they might get silenced as well and that is the sad truth why a corrupt government can't progress and only keeps circling back to being corrupt

it is unfortunate because you will see these politicians living lavishly with no care in the world while their people is suffering and hungry how are the most evil people on top of our leadership? there should be better politicians running for position and voters need to make better decisions for the future of their country

It cannot be denied that corruption has a negative impact on a country's economy, which results in the inability to generate enough income to compete with other countries. Corruption can cause foreign investors to no longer trust the legal system in the country, overall corruption can worsen state finances and state revenues from taxes will decrease, the effect of which will have an impact on increasing poverty rates. So crucial steps are needed to prevent corruption such as building a strong legal system and effective monitoring mechanisms, the government must work together with all levels of society to combat corruption in order to increase the country's economic growth.

With developing economies of the world struggling to stand and be among the top Economies of the world and compite with the rest of the world corruption seems to be the biggest problem that is bedeviling developing Economies of the world, mostly African Economies.
Am of the view that these Economies will not have any meaningful economic progress until they deal with the problem of corruption in their countries because looking at these developing Economies most of them are very blessed with mineral and human resources but what is the problem that they can't even afford their citizens with the basic necessities that they need such as good road's, electricity, access to quality health care system and a access to quality education system.

Until corruption is done away these Economies will continue to be puppies in the world

Corruption is the greatest evil to the economy, not only of developing countries but also of developed countries. Corruption is essentially a cancerous tumor of the economy, financial, and legal system of the state.... It is slowly destroying these pillars of the state. Unfortunately, in developing countries, corruption is often global in nature at all levels - from ordinary workers to the top of the government.
Corruption is certainly of no choice. As long as there are opportunities to corrupt, people will surely grab it. Except for those responsible government officials and citizens, they will never dare to encourage corruption as its never a moral act.

However, with the rising inflation that the world economy is facing these days, it’s rare to see people who will never chose to corrupt, especially those who are already sitting in the government.

Two key problems of corruption:
1. people support it through their actions. They make excuses for themselves that for some reason they are allowed to do so. That is, the population itself is a generator of corruption.
2. people choosing the government and authorities do not demand from them to fight corruption, do not protest against corruption schemes, inventing explanations for themselves why they cannot influence corruption in the government.
How can we expect the destruction of corruption in the presence of these two factors ? Smiley

Terry Gilliam's "Brazil" posits that corruption is necessary when a government is defined by incompetence and indifference. This is not a matter of top-level economics though - the individual sparks of action being done competently doesn't make up for a broken system.

Corruption can also make it for monopolies to grow exponentially. That bribing an official to push things in their favor thing will be more in favor of the already established corporations. On a higher level, corruption is not good for any country. india is an example of that.

Big businesses have huge monopolies in the country, while the average person works on low wage high living costs and can't even imagine starting their own business. Even if they did, it will most likely go down, albeit due to other factors and now they'll be heavily buried in debt.

There is no country in the world today you will not find corruption, but corruption has grade which is the reason you see some countries are doing well more than other countries that are in deep corruption, it will be difficult for such countries that are into deep corruption to improve in development base on my little research about Africa economics challenge, I think their leaders are the major challenge of Africa e economics because they thought if they start doing the right thing towards the development of the country they will not be wealthy or they will not be popular in their position which is not true,  if Africa countries want to develop like other countries of the world, they should set up some law that will make their leaders not to make use of their public wealth for their private investment which is the major thing that is causing challenges to Africa economics, base on my observation.
The dilemma is that corruption feeds itself, so you will need a bunch of leaders that want to greatly diminish the corruption while obtaining no gains for themselves, and this is very rare, as most of the time we think of those political leaders as leaders that will make the history books on their countries, and until that day comes, citizens must deal with a bunch of corrupt politicians that are only looking for their own interests and nothing else.

In fact, similar things are happening in almost all developing countries. And this is the reason why it is so difficult for developing countries to transform into developed countries. The reason is that it is difficult for developing countries to become developed countries because there are still many corrupt practices in these countries. Even in countries in ASIA, we also have many countries with major corruption scandals that have caused a lot of harm to the country. And yes, abundant natural resources should be able to make a country developed and prosperous. But because of the many corrupt practices, a country remains a country that does not develop at all and its people fall into poverty which is quite worrying.

Developed countries also have corruption but the difference is the level of corruption is different. Corruption in developing countries is out of control, and as a result it makes it difficult for economies to grow and people's lives to become difficult. Meanwhile, corruption in developed countries is limited by strict regulations and laws.

But corruption now seems to have become a common thing. Not only in the government but even among the lower classes, things like this happen more often. So I think morals and honesty must be further improved for the next generation. Because without moral and honest people, a country will never progress at any time.

Corruption is human greed, so where there are humans, there is corruption. Furthermore, as life becomes more difficult, human greed will increase and get out of control. That is why we see corruption everywhere, not just in politics.

There's no such thing about equal on which there would really be countries that sits on tiers whether on 1 or 2 or developing countries on which it is really that also been because of some factors but we do know that corruption will really be having that significant effect in towards economics progress on which taxes are being used on their own gains and goes into their pockets instead on building up infrastructure and other job opportunities on which this one would really be able to help out into those people who are really that wanting to have that progress into their lives because of the opportunities that it gives but sadly not all government will really be that the same on how they will handling out a certain country on which on their vicinity. There are really those places on which ended up on having no progress due to extreme corruption.

Instead on blaming out the government then why not you will really be thinking up for yourself on finding up some opportunity to make your life way more better? There are tons of opportunities that you could be able to make yourself having that better living. It will really be that just depending on how a certain person will be minding when it comes into the opportunity.

The problem of corruption in African countries isn't because there is no corruption in other countries, actually there is but the problem is they don't carry out harsh implementation to punish people that embezzle public funds unless the allegations are to obvious that they can't over look, that's when you see them taking actions about it but even then, they do poor judgement to free them to walk away from the justice, this is why people don't trust the judiciary system.

Look at China and Russia, do you see the way they punish politicians that accept bribe and steal money, this is how they were able to make their system better, it's not like it doesn't happen over there but it's minimal, however in Africa it's a real business where people worship politicians instead of them to ask them for accountability. Until this is correct, Africa will never be free from corruption.

Corruption is very dangerous and the more corrupt the government and members of the government are, the worse the economic condition of the country. There are also many developing countries that take loans from different countries or take loans from the World Bank to build various facilities in their country, but if a facility costs 100 dollars, the government party people make a budget of 1000 dollars for corruption. But there is a lot of corruption here and due to this corruption the financial condition of the country is deteriorating.

Most of them are blessed with mineral resources but they don't know how to use it, they don' know its value but most importantly, others are using advantage of the things that these countries lack and steal those resources.
Roads, Electricity, access to quality health car and so on can't be done without improving the quality of education and rewarding those who study. If we compare developing countries to developed countries, the difference is so big that in order to develop, instead of being on your own, it's better to send talented people of your nation to developed countries to learn and then return back but this is the most tricky part because when they see the quality of life in these developed countries, they don't want to return back but I think, with the reviving of patriotism, it's possible to make them return back and use that knowledge to develop their nations.

By the way, corruption exists everywhere. It's a human nature, it's simply unavoidable.

Corruption is one of the greatest problems, or diseases, that is affecting almost all the African countries. Based on what I know, I don’t know about the other part of the world, but I am sure it also affects some parts of the Asian countries, even though it is not all, but still it affects them. Moreover, when you are already used to corruption, you will find it very difficult to abstain from that; that is why we see, up till now, those countries that are affected by corruption have no sign of getting better soon unless getting worse than before. Because most of the acts are done in front of the younger ones, and they will always see it as a good thing or something that is included as your daily routine, that is why it will be very hard to control.

This is already innate to humanity so hard to have a radical change on this aspect. I admire those countries which has minimal percentage of recorded corruption. And if you are living in a high corrupt society, better take care of your own and see where you can have alternative sources of income to survive in this life. No need to rely from your government's subsidies or of that sort.

Just look at these countries - [India has the highest, and look at where they are now. A long time ago, they were one of the richest countries, but now, they have a large population who are below the poverty line]
>India - 69% bribery rate
> Vietnam - 65%
>Thailand - 41%
>Myanmar & Pakistan - 40%

Corruption is indeed very difficult to eliminate, but at least it can be minimized. Corruptors have hampered the progress of a country, they are the root of the problems and difficulties faced by society. Because what they do can not only harm the country, but also society at large, but what confuses me is that the punishment given to corruptors is not commensurate with what they do.

Corruption has hampered the progress of a country, because when there are many cases of corruption in a country, even though the country has the potential to generate profits, this can make investors think twice when they want to decide to invest their capital in that country. This is because the existence of corruptors can be a loss for investors. and while on the other hand, it will be quite difficult for a country to progress if the country does not have investors who are willing to work together to carry out development. and in the end because only a few investors want to invest in the country and create a company, in the end only a few workers are absorbed, and the problem of employment cannot be resolved, which causes unemployment everywhere.

Yeah, you make a good point.  When some rich dude gets caught stealing a bunch of money through corruption, they barely get punished and  maybe they pay a fine or something that dont matter to them cause they already got millions stuffed away somewhere.  It isnt right.  If me or you stole some money we would go to jail for years probably.  But these corrupt big shots get off easy.

We gotta start cracking down hard on corruption and greed, otherwise our countries are just gonna keep struggling.  As long as people can keep getting away with this crap nothings gonna really change.  It's a vicious cycle we gotta break already. But the real question is how?

No more slaps on the wrist for the crooks at the top! That would probably be a good start.

Corruption is the cankerworm in the developing countries in the world and that should be particularly in the African continent. In African we don't have Leaders but Rulers Leaders are directors, guardians and instructors who leads others to achieve their goals and destinies in the future and they always make a peaceful atmosphere for the people to do business and live a convenience life but a ruler uses his powers to subdue others.

And the the rulers in the developing countries are with the owners of the state to oppress the citizens.
