With developing economies of the world struggling to stand and be among the top Economies of the world and compite with the rest of the world corruption seems to be the biggest problem that is bedeviling developing Economies of the world, mostly African Economies.
Am of the view that these Economies will not have any meaningful economic progress until they deal with the problem of corruption in their countries because looking at these developing Economies most of them are very blessed with mineral and human resources but what is the problem that they can't even afford their citizens with the basic necessities that they need such as good road's, electricity, access to quality health care system and a access to quality education system.

Until corruption is done away these Economies will continue to be puppies in the world

The way you guys will just come and be making African countries looks bad sometimes hurt my feeling, not like there is no corruption in some other countries, there is but they don't do it in a greedy way where one person will swallow the entire national budget of one state but I want you to know that there is corruption in everywhere. African countries lack of development isn't just about the corruption alone, there are others that are deeply killing the African regions and that's our relationship with the colonial masters.

There are vast resources that are been taken from the Sub-Saharan African regions and this resources can't be found anywhere, these Colonial master are taking our resources that is supposed to be managed and use to develop the region, take some minutes and look at videos and evidence by CNN and BBC cover about milking Congo resource and you will understand better about the African exploitation, don't make underdevelopment of Africa corruption alone, there are other factors that are been exploited by some western countries.

If developing countries try, they can become developed countries, although it will take some time. But it is possible, but at present, corruption is so much in developing countries that they are not able to make any development there. Rather, they are giving shelter to corruption in the name of development.

To develop a country, the political aspect of that country needs to be developed, as well as honesty among the people of that country. If the people move towards corruption, then a government in that country will never be able to stop it. That is why not only the government but the people have to work together for development.

Corruption can destroy the order of a country and corruption can also hinder the growth of a country to become more advanced because there is no leader who has the ability to change the bad into the better. Africa has abundant natural resources but there are many cases of corruption that have ensnared several country leaders so that what happens is that the country is increasingly lagging behind both in terms of development progress and human resources itself. If corruption cases are still rampant, it is difficult for any country to develop and I think corruption is a common enemy for now.

When a country becomes poorer, it is the people in it who are affected in fulfilling their living needs and vice versa with other access such as electricity, clean water, education and health. If corruption becomes more rampant, do not expect the lives of the people in it to be better than before.

Corruption is a situation that deeply affects the economy and greatly harms its progress. It is very difficult to achieve the desired progress without dealing with corruption because there is no place for corruption in the natural progress of the economy. The impoverishment of countries that are rich in resources due to corruption is one of the greatest evils done to those countries.

The fight against corruption needs to be done in a real way. If this fight is done as it should be, many positive situations such as the development of economies, the increase in citizens' incomes, and the decrease in inflation will also occur.

While corruption could be rampant in some parts of Africa, but I must say corruption is actually a universal concern. Different countries all over the world are faced with corruption, especially that corruption thrived from the government itself. While it could be beneficial for the government officials and politicians, the citizens on the other hand are the ones struggling.

As if the government offers financial assistance targeting the poor individuals, but in reality it’s only the funds from the people themselves are solely used, while those cash assistance coming from big financial institutions go directly into the bank accounts of these corrupt officials of the government.

Where there is corruption, there isn't prosperity, nothing solid prevails, because there isn't trust neither cooperation among people. People don't work together, because they will be always fearful their fellows are taking advantage from them somehow, or they will also try to take advantage of their fellows to not stay behind. There isn't trust, because you can't take seriously what the employee or service provider is telling you. And this kind of trust is essential in any human relationships, including commercial ones. You need trust to seal a deal, to make a negotiation.

The economy of a country is directly impacted by every micro transactions and negotiations inside the territory. Worst aspect of the current scenario is that corruption is generalized. You can't find safe heavens where there are pure and honest people to deal with. The bad example come from authorities and it's reproduced by citizens in general, and these citizens reproduce their bad character by electing politicians of the same kind to rule the country.

It's an eternal cycle of bad practices which end leading people to misery and unhappiness.

Poor countries usually have higher levels of corruption among their politicians. I don't know about any poor and underdeveloped country, where corruption levels are low. There's no easy solution to this problem. I've heard stories about countries like China and South Korea, where the level of corruption was also relatively high, but it wasn't a problem for such countries to maintain a relatively high economic growth.
Maybe China will invest more in the infrastructure of the African countries and this will help them achieve a higher GDP growth.

The rate at which corruption is migrating is alarming and it's sinking deep into the economy and eaten it up as well, this has been a vital problem of every country I must say and it needs to be tackled cause if it continues this way there won't be availability of growth and development anymore rather corruption will be the first priority to every situations which is bad.
Corruption is indeed difficult to eradicate by every country because every party that has the authority over it must be willing to deal with people who are working in their own government. Because corruption often occurs in the realm of government although it has also occurred in other realms such as in several large companies, but it is indeed really bad for the sustainability of economic development. So I hope that for now there are still people who care about this and also want to eradicate it if they have the power to do so.

The first list is the list of the least corrupt countries and the second list is the list of the most corrupt countries. Countries in the first list have one of the highest levels of education and countries in the second list have one of the worst levels of education. I think this strengthens my argument.
The countries in the first list are the least corrupt countries and these countries have a golden opportunity for education from which every citizen can develop healthy leaders and do something good. They are always moving forward with the education sector keeping in mind that education is the backbone of the nation that is why they are such a progressive corruption-free country. They are definitely doing good things and will do more.

The countries in the third list are corrupt if they cannot get out of here then they will never be able to come forward they will always be like this they have to stay behind to get ahead they have to do something good by staying away from corruption they have to focus on education they have to ensure proper education of the people of the country then they will be able to come out of here slowly.

Corruption is not always the scourge of many problems. I will explain it on my fingers. My country is waging an aggressive war against another state. If it were not for corruption in the armed forces, it would have already defeated the other army and taken on other neighboring countries. That is why I encourage the corruption component in this case. Let them steal more. Less money will be spent on weapons that cause great pain and endless suffering.
Corruption has never been beneficial even in the case you are referring to. Corruption in the armed forces will not help prevent war but even make it worse. Because the government is always willing to spend more money if there is not enough money for war and that will cause a serious budget deficit. And in case the government does not have enough budget for war, they can cut the budget for supporting the people and focus on war. Or worse, they could raise taxes to fill their coffers and make life more difficult for the people.

Therefore, corruption in the armed forces only makes wars longer and more costly, so it cannot be said that corruption is good in this case.

I do not deny what you say but there is no guarantee that highly educated or highly qualified people will not be corrupt. That is why corruption persists even in developed countries and corruption cases that shock the world often involve many high-ranking officials.

In my opinion, corruption comes from greed, greed and jealousy also appear in many other relationships and environments such as family, neighbors, friends, colleagues...not just in politics. So, education can raise awareness and help reduce corruption but it cannot completely solve the problem of corruption because it comes from human greed. To me, greed is a part of this world because it is present not only in humans but also in animals, in the natural environment...so eliminating corruption is impossible.
I agree with you at some point. To be fair, if we look at past history, highly educated and qualified people were the most evil people but my point is that a low level of education spreads corruption more rapidly and more easily. When the society is educated, corruption and nepotism is less because people understand that it's bad for their business if they hire an uneducated relative or a friend.

We can compare two types of countries:
1. Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, New Zealand and Singapore
2. North Korea, Yemen, Venezuela, South Sudan, Syria and Somalia.

The first list is the list of the least corrupt countries and the second list is the list of the most corrupt countries. Countries in the first list have one of the highest levels of education and countries in the second list have one of the worst levels of education. I think this strengthens my argument.

I'm from a country where we witness corruption firsthand and the damages its causing. A country can be blessed with natural resources and a lot of brilliant minds that can improve the infrastructural and financial growth of the country but with the presence of corruption nothing Is going to work. In my country the leaders keep embezzling and enriching themselves without caring about the welfare of the masses. There are so many graduates out here that aren't working because jobs are scarce but those in power can easily give illiterates job opportunities because they are family members.

Corruption have never helped any one or a country in any positive way, but rather, it has helped a lot of the corrupt people themselves to acquire wealth and affluence in a negative way, which often time, comes back to bite them harder than they had thought, which leads them to sometimes, losing all that they had acquired through the proceeds of their corrupt practises.

A nation where people are corrupt will never experience much progress, most especially if the politicians, and other dignitaries that controls the affairs of the country are corrupt people too, such country may have alot of natural resources but may experience the worst stagnation, because the proceeds from their nature resources are not being used for the development and growth of the country, but rather, few people are keeping the whole proceeds for themselves and family alone.
A country that want to grow must deal with the issue of corruption, else, growth will be far from them.

Not only corruption is a problem, but a low level of education is also a serious problem that to my mind leads to corruption and both of them make each other worse. Locally, the government tries to lower the level of education by making exams easier, by taking lots of stuff out of school subjects. Today, everyone can pass the exams, even those who don't study at school. Then some of these uneducated people, who easily finished schools and universities, get good jobs because of their good connections. This results in companies that have bad management and uneducated people manage the educated people. That's why our countries don't develop. Uneducated people who get good jobs because of their good connections don't let educated people to get good jobs. It's rare to see an educated person in a high position and even if you see such one, that's because that educated person comes from a rich family with good connections.

Corruption is indeed one of the difficult problems to be freed or eradicated in underdeveloped countries or still in the standard of developing countries because after all, looking at the current conditions, we must be aware that in the end corruption is always a big scourge that is difficult to stop because it can be a bigger and wider network than we thought.

I am currently in a country where the law, and KKN (Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism) have become an open secret in my country today, although in the end the government has also moved faster to eradicate this corruption but still the results have not had a big impact that is felt until now because it is indeed eradicating this in my country is very difficult and even if it can (if it can one day be like that) it still won't eradicate it entirely because the corruption network in my country is still protected by certain parties whose positions are even bigger than we thought.

Unfortunately most of the world is not growing and getting better due to corruption in governments and all the governmental offices. Even the smallest branch of the smallest worker could look for a way to do corruption. The big ones do big corruption in tune of billions, but if the smallest guy could do just hundred bucks then they do that.

At this point, liberal idea of just getting rid of government in most places started to look better for most people, less and less government, and just letting them focus on just law and education seems like a better way to approach at the moment. Look at Javier Milei, dude is as liberal as it gets, he is a crazy dude obviously not a normal human, but his ideas made the economy better at least. That's an important factor and I am sure that a lot of Argentina may dislike him for who he is, but they can't deny the stats that he is making the country go towards a better way. He isn't getting rid of corruption, he is getting rid of positions that can do corruption.

African countries do not experience many major natural disasters that other continents of the world experience, but one of their major problems remains corruption, which has spread even more, not just with politicians but also with citizens of the country. Corruption is now like a plague that will require a massive reorientation program for it to be eliminated because even citizens who are not yet in positions of power have already built up a corrupt mindset to say that if they happen to have any opportunity to be in a position of leadership, they will make sure to exercise their power for their financial gain.
Corruption has really hit deep into the African governance and economy. As a result, Africans experience more human-made crises than natural disasters. These crises include climate issues from burning fossil fuels and poor waste management, hunger from mismanaged resources and taxation, and high death rates from neglected hospitals and roads.

Certain leaders buy their way into office and prioritize recovering their investment over serving citizens. This perpetuates suffering and hinders progress. Corruption is not limited to government officials; some citizens also engage in corrupt practices that harm humanity and prioritize personal gain.

Corruption has become a plague in African countries, threatening sustainability and the future generation. If left unchecked, things might get worse over time, which is not a good thing at all.
