With developing economies of the world struggling to stand and be among the top Economies of the world and compite with the rest of the world corruption seems to be the biggest problem that is bedeviling developing Economies of the world, mostly African Economies.
Am of the view that these Economies will not have any meaningful economic progress until they deal with the problem of corruption in their countries because looking at these developing Economies most of them are very blessed with mineral and human resources but what is the problem that they can't even afford their citizens with the basic necessities that they need such as good road's, electricity, access to quality health care system and a access to quality education system.

Until corruption is done away these Economies will continue to be puppies in the world

Corruption could crippled the economy of certain country and until there's a leader that is so greedy to grab the resources of their country then there's no growth to expect from these officials.

We know how bad the economic state of those countries stated here and I don't know on why these corrupt people still not been eliminated in their seats since we have now social medias where everyone can express their opinion and the would know the real situation on their country. If they keep voting those people who's not for people and for growth of their country then expect that no changes will happen. But if they start to wake up and find those good people who's aim to change the status of those countries then maybe there's a good chance that they could see some developments.

You hit the nail on the head, corruption is the virus that is eating the economies of many underdeveloped countries and until it is addressed and dealt with, these countries will continue to remain poor and dependant on developed countries that depends on their natural resources to become richer, very ironic. You should ask yourself why all these backward countries are all ruled by people who have no business being in leadership positions? They're either ruling for decades without any meaningful development or they're replaced by like-minded criminal leaders who only care about enriching themselves at the detriment of the common masses.

These countries have proactive citizens that can turn their economy around but somehow they will never make it to leadership positions, most times elections are rigged so that the corrupt politicians will remain in power or be replaced by equally corrupt politicians. The paradigm shift for these backward economies is to have free and fair elections to elect credible individuals to occupy leadership positions. But when will it happen, that is the question mark?

They really need to address corruption from the ground up because when a country is considered one of the most corrupt, it directly impacts the majority of the population financially. Taxes aren’t properly utilized, and the government fails to provide for its people. I live in a country where corruption feels deeply rooted, and I strongly believe it’s the main reason for economic struggles. It’s painfully obvious that many politicians view politics as a business. "Vote buying" is rampant, and even though authorities are aware of it, they can’t, or won’t-- stop it. This makes me think it has become ingrained in the culture, where people expect money during elections without realizing they’re selling their future to these corrupt officials.

In a country with high corruption, people tend to rely on government aid, which creates dependency. Politicians use this to their advantage, portraying themselves as saviors while failing to implement real, long-term solutions. The correct approach would be to improve the economy by investing in opportunities that empower people. Like the saying goes, "Don’t give people fish; teach them how to fish." But that’s not what happens, politicians prefer short-term handouts to maintain control and continue misusing government funds. It’s a vicious cycle that keeps the majority struggling while the corrupt thrive.
