Wow! i never knew these accounts can be sold .
What will be the cost of mine if i try to sell it ? Just curious , don't really want to sell it!
theres no point in selling it if you are active on forum you can get even more money from sig campaigns

There is if you are farming accounts for sale. I heard some users are doing it. One guy that was banned for it had 50 if I recall.

Banned for what? As far as i know having multiple accounts is not against the forum rules unless he made shitty and spammy posts

around 0.3-0.35 it depends also from the activity, a senior with 450+ activity is almost hero and thus is vastly better than a standard senior with 256

The price of the accounts do not think i have fixed prices in the Spanish sub forum a few days ago one user sold hes account (hero member) for two Bitcoins.

I just cant imagine selling my account, which is hero. I put in ton's of time with it "53 days, 17 hours and 18 minutes.".  I also put in lot's of effort to be viewed in a positive respect.

If someone is willing to see a hero or legendary I think it should bring quite a bit.  It just is year's in the making.   I guess I could be jaded since I enjoy the forum so much.  But I personally would never sell my account.

How do we measure someone's time in money? Some people get paid huge amounts per hour for what they are doing in their jobs. The same has to be applied for the accounts being sold... if the post history are of any huge value, it should be rewarded more... not just the "Position" it holds on the forum.

The problem with that... Who judge the quality of the posts?

The possible bad implications on having someone using your sold account to host a scam, far outweight the possible returns on selling it for a few Bitcoins.  Sad

I would agree completely.  There are 2 main reasons that I see accounts being bought.

One is they want to do a signature campaign.  They are wanting to skip months, possibly year of ranking up.

Other is they want to do a scam.  And I agree completey the risk of this one is to high.   I would not want a account even once tied to me to be involved in scamming.

No one buys Jr. Member as far as i have seen
Full member may go for around 0.07 to 0.1;
Hero member may go from 0.1 to 2 BTC
Legendary member may go for really higher prices (although I've never seen one on the selling category)
You wrong Jr. Member now behavior on sub forum digital goods and the price is 0.004-0.007
The price for Member is 0.03-0.05BTC
For Full member may go around 0.07 to 0.12BTC
Senior member may go around 0.15-0.3BTC
Hero Member upto 1BTC
Legendary member i have not ever seen someone sell bitcoin talks account with this rank  Grin

I think I've seen a few Legendary accounts for sale before. If I remember right, they don't sell for much more than a Hero account would, even though it takes a lot longer to achieve Legendary rank than it does for Hero. I've also seen quite a few people listing low ranking yet old accounts for sale, which can be ranked up fairly quickly too, as long as they've make a post every two weeks, as others have mentioned before.

There's a number of Sr. accounts for sale at the moment and most of them are 0.25-0.35 It would be a real bargain to get it for 0.15, you'd have to be dumb to sell it that low.
Pay per post campaigns are paying about 0.12 for 100 posts a week. If you also have their avatar it's more and some campaigns also add weekly bonuses (dadice), which means a Sr. account can earn you between 0.05 and 0.15 a week and leveling it up takes a couple months. It's definitely worth at least 0.3 BTC.

It depends on the signature campaigns.

For instance a signature campaign pays 0.045 BTC for 60 posts in a month for a member account, so you "may" sell it 0.05 btc
Full member account "may" earn 0.4 btc in a month (on dadice, maybe more now). activity is important yet. if it's 120-199 then it's around 0.1-0.15 if it's over 200 activity that means it'll be Sr in a short time (1-2 months) so it can be sold for 0.2 btc

Sr member accounts 240-399 activity can be sold 0.3 BTC. 400+ accounts may be sold 0.4 btc.

Generally accounts worth 1-1.5x of the top paying fixed signature campaigns.

green trust: doubles the price btw.

Also depend on bitcoin's price.
Some signature campaign might adjust bitcoin's price (since for now it getting low) so payrate also increase and account's price also get increase.
I'm imagine if selling account already exist on this forum since 2009 - 2010 , I think Hero's account worth as BTC 5.000  Grin

Actually there is a good market for used accounts. Most buyers want to use them for signature campaigns where they can get up to 0.2 BTC weeks for Sr. Member / Hero Member level. Thus, it makes sense to pay up to BTC1 for an old account. But there are also scamers which are new and want to give the impression of being very experienced. There were some altcoins announcements in the past from accounts which were sold closely before.

I don't understand why anyone would want to buy an old account unless the use is for sig campaign spam or some other nefarious scam.

Hello. I'm just curious to know...

whats the going rate for each level of bitcointalk account?

Jr. Member
Full Member
Hero Member
Legendary Member etc etc.

I think you can't ask the price like that because its so variaties and it depends from the post, activity and some trust too, so you need to find by yourself and need to offer them if not you are going to be charged higher then usual

legendaries won't go for less than 2BTC. I think 2-5 btc or more.

I've seen some offers for them in such range, but don't know if someone really bought them
