The amount of time a Hero account takes to be achieved should be taken into consideration. It's double that of a Senior and Senior accounts are very common whereas Heroes a lot less so. It wouldn't really make much sense to sell a Hero for only 20% more than a Senior but it's all down to what people are willing to sell them for at the end of the day.

If most purchased accounts are for signature campaigns, then why do hero members typically fetch prices 100-200% higher than senior members despite the fact that posting rates for hero members are typically only 20-30% higher than for senior members? Obviously a hero member takes ~2 times longer to achieve than a senior member but I would still expect the distribution of prices to flatten quite a bit near the top.

usually the cost of bitcoin accounts that is member accounts depends on the person selling it.
mostly , people dont sell accounts under full member since their values are less.
account above full member are usually chargeable at a rate of 0.01btc depending on the person selling it.
a person who is known to us may even sell it to us at a lower price.

you shouldn't care about the account being banned or not, you should care more about his post quality, i mean even if that account you want to buy hasn't been banned ever, but it has a low post quality, than it is not worth buy

in this way you eradicate the need to look if it was banned or not

Of course you should care. If its been banned before that makes it much more likely you will be banned again. It could even be on its final warning. This is why its a big risk buying accounts.

it does not work in this way, you are banned only if you spam too much or post off-topic shit and so on, not because you was banned before, otherwise one could never redeem himself, if you ever been banned once

u should be careful when buying bitcointalk accounts as some have been banned several times. don't be surprised if u buy an account and get a 2month ban a few weeks later.

So how to identify the account was being banned before or not? Because when we deal the price with the seller they sure didnt want to give any description about being banned or not so its impossible to be careful too since we dont know anything about which id is he going to sell

You can't. Best you can do is use an escrow who will check the quality of posts thoroughly and if they're found to be poor or from a known banned account the deal will be terminated.

That means we need to ask the escrow for checking right? Or they can auto check it for us? Because some of people just only asking about the loaning, negative trust, post count and activity. They didnt even care other things and if there is already good then the deal is being made

If you don't request it then most wont bother as that's not part of the deal. Quickseller seems to check posts when he escrows but it would probably only be a problem if the seller had stated the posts were of great quality when this wasn't true. Accounts with one owner and great posts tend to go for more I think so people will start lying or exagerating to try boost their accounts up.

I think it's the other way round. Most Heroes seem to have very good posts, it's senior and lower that have poor posts. Heroes take a long time to achieve and even at 1 bitcoin you can still easily make your money back after two months maybe less if you're a prolific poster. I think the quality of posts should be taken into consideration when valuing an account, especially when accounts with shitposts may have previous bans or be denied by signature campaigns.

There are a few heroes who post utter drivel. I assume that's because the account has been sold or they blew their chance at being an early adopter and have gone batshit insane.

LOL. I don't doubt some have gone a little nuts. There are a few that seem to troll now and slag off bitcoin so maybe they're butthurt that they missed out or lost money, but I think a lot of hero accounts will be bought/sold ones.

Its a bit ridiculous, but I guess the value comes with time involvment.

Obviously you wouldnt want to wait for 4-5 months right? so thats the only reason why I`d buy one, but the prices have been extreme despite not having much campaigns open.

Certain ones that been awhile like primedice close off for only legendary members..

I see price changes far from the ones mentioned above.

Of course, this is all based on all current available signatures that have been paying, so this should be a huge factor. The far less credible few options that pay the harder it is for anyone to justify that price.

I don't think activity level has much bearing on post quality. There are newbies who post thoughtful content.

If you have farmed a hero account, that's some serious commitment over a lengthy amount of time. I'd be surprised if there are many that have been nurtured all that time purely to sell.

0.5 bitcoin at the current price is nowhere near good enough for a hero member account.
The man hours & time put into becoming a hero member should be worth at least 1 bitcoin imo.
It's taken me 8 months to become a senior member so presumably it takes 16 months to become a hero member, 0.5 bitcoin is nowhere near enough.
It depends on the demand. The truth is, most people just want to join a high paying signature campaign or just to look good. You can have several accounts and hero members can be farmed fairly easily. Most hero members has spammy posts thus the price would be lower. There are little difference in signature campaign's pay for hero member and sr member so I presume most would purchase Sr members.

I agree with you that they should be worth much more but they're only worth what people are willing to pay for them and if people are willing to sell them cheap then it just pushes the price down of them all.

Hero member accounts can't really be farmed easy. They take a year and half to achieve and that's if they don't get banned. There's no way it would be worth farming a hero account from today to only make half a bitcoin. They might be worth much less or even worthless in a year and half time especially if signature campaigns were banned.
