To add on, I actually tried to be more active in the Credits forums but it is a ghost town, literally. Unless more of us start clocking some post counts there, the forums is going to look really bad in terms of image, branding and marketing of Credits. I am tinkering around to get figure out how to get the daemon going. After that, I will look into getting some small projects that utilise Credits.

Until the dev starts getting more active and involved with the community at the Credits forums or here, Credits is just going to keep losing traction and getting devalued. Miners, investors and believers can only keep their faith for so long without new updates and inputs. I think we are still owed a deadline for the poker room.

This thread needs more posts. And the dev needs to earn more respect for his commitment in my opinion.



I dont't actually see things like the people critcising the timeline on the forums.

Just, because most people in crypto are in for fast gains, doesn't mean this coin is going down the drain.

Compared to other coins, this coin with it's long inflation phase at the beginning is all about fairness and the opportunity to notice it and get in while its still building up.

That is actually like the total opposite of a pump and dump and to me proves that the devs are serious about this.

Another point about this project is that you guys chose your concept and immediately started working on it, while most other coins are still tumbling around searching for a propper use.

The pokerroom and the whole gambling concept is bigger of a project than I see with most other coins. So don't let people who want their fast gains give you too much pressure about this. Most important about this first project is that it's gonna be a good flagship, not to be due on the deadline.

And last but not least, what shouldn't be underestimated is the name of this coin. This probably sounds like a trivial point, but I assure you it's not. The name is the first impression you get of a coin. This name is versatile, catchy and foremost it sounds like a kind of its own. It reflects what this coin is, and that ain't a three letter acronym generic btc clone ending with the word coin.

So keep up the good work , don't let people drag you down and have a nice easter weekend.

I did.... a few times... but with so many Cr's out there my orders got eaten fast

But all in all not to worry too much about the exchanges. Exchanges will (and should) come later. First coin must have value in the community.
-Poker room , will give cr much needed movement and create value..
-After it has some growth we will all start looking for stuff to get rid off on marketplace.
-Then with value determined by users Cr will attract merchants.
-And thus the circle of finances will be complete and grow stronger.

All in due time.... but like me, think most still eagerly waiting the poker-room to start with.

Also ddaan... ur a great developer, definately got skills with coding (and maybe also the design)  But im pretty sure you need a PR-person to reach out around and get the word out.

Is anything on the horizon yet? Like the poker room? We definitely need more updates before people loose interest.

Its refreshing to see the Credits community with a dev that takes suggestions and to see the honesty in here after Edgecoin turned out to be a giant scam. Credits is the good guy in all this and we really need to work in getting it some attention. I really think getting added to Cryptsy will boost the hell out of this but everything needs to be in order first.

I completely agree. Just waiting for the crypto world to take notice of this coin and its simple name and design.

I still strongly believe in this coin.  It's ridiculously undervalued for what I think it may be and still very easy to mine.  Any up move would be pretty much explosive from here.

Take it from a person who worked on USDe's community that not much is going for that coin, besides a nice name and a decent community, which don't get me wrong you can make some money on the coin because it's undervalued, but it doesn't have what credits have, alot of dev work, a really good name, alot things to come in the future for distribution, and super undervalued price to buy in to. These are the top coins in my book, if you think about it logically what will you pay with in the future? Something named CryptoMETH or XXLCoin or any other coin that isn't REALLY special. There are alot of copycoins, crapcoins, scamcoins, but credits isn't one of them.

This coin will do well, I will make sure of it. The community will come, you just have to be patient.

No, a specific number hasn't been decided yet.  We are currently planning a fork that will: update KGW, lower block reward, and increase anonymity.  Perhaps some other small things, but that is it for now.

Don't think a decision has been made yet. Personally, I am leaning towards 1,500. The community, however, needs to be more active for Credits to gain any traction.

so what did you guys decided to lower the block reward to?

It has been approx 15 days since there was a credits trade on CryptoALTeX.  With 0 volume the coin is costing us money in resources in order to keep it listed.  In the next few days we will be evaluating coins to decommission, if volume does not pickup we will need to delist.  I will post a notice if we decide for sure that Credits will be delisted.

Until then, I'd like to remind you that we have 3 markets for credits, the OP is currently outdated with the links.

NEW DEV UPDATE:

As I'm sure you're all aware, the poker room has in fact not been released yet, as it was supposed to be on April 10th. I sincerely apologize for that, as we just didn't finish it in time. It's really all a matter of improving the UI, security and anything else that is essential to have a poker site up and running as it should. It will not be long for it to be actually released, only a couple more days' time.

I will be posting a more in depth dev update in 2-3 days with the various other projects that we are working on, you guys have a good week!

It is disheartening to see the potential go down the drain when the initial community launch was not followed up upon with a burst of activity. Instead, a ghost community is created. I am still waiting for the dev to answer some questions that could lead up to potential usage of Credits but as things stand on, I am considering USDe instead.
