I had already commented on this but I want to add things that I have seen in the last few days in my country, in my country people gamble wildly, I say this because there are games of chance in every corner and people are very crowded to play whatever It even caught my attention because from what I could see these people are taking money that would be used to buy things in the real world and put it in gambling, and the saddest thing is that when these people win something like 50$ they don't see that value as something good , they look like a very small and insignificant value, I myself am shocked when I see someone say that 50$ is nothing and that they should earn a lot of money, the obsession with earning a lot of money is driving people crazy

Each gambler keeps his own records of money won/lost, and since these people are already gambling addicts they are likely to have lost more money than they won and instead of being happy with small winnings they do not count with them. In my opinion, chasing big winnings is one of the main mistakes of gamblers. After all, when a gambler is waiting for a big win, he will leave the game only when a big win or lose everything. And the second option is more likely.

In my humble opinion people should calculate how much money they will use and how much money will return back to gambling. By this way they can limit themselves pretty nicely.
Generally gambling addicts know such criteria, unfortunately many of the gambling addicts do not care how much money they spend, as well as the money they get from gambling wins.

Aware of the money at stake, sometimes many of us make bets to limit bets, for example: $10-100 dollars per day, but they never calculate what they spend annually without realizing that $ 36k has been donated to gambling, even though they have won occasionally, but if you take into account that you donate more than you get, that is the world of gambling, you never have special criteria, apart from losing.

Not blaming others for what happens in your life is a great thing. Many people love to complain about their life to others as if they didn't create the situation themselves.

Anyway, I think a good gambler is the one that uses exactly the amount of money they figured it good to be destined for gambling, and nothing more.

Note that in some cases that amount might be zero, making a good gambler a non-gambler, paradoxically.
This is an accurate definition of a good gambler. Someone who takes responsability for their acts and won't cause any prejudice to others because of his own actions. Besides gamblers who blame others for bad situations they face in life, there are also those gamblers who steal money from close people or even strangers on the street in order to maintain their gambling routine. This gambler's category is the worst in my opinion, because they can completely screw up someone else's life, especially if the person is emotionally connected to the gambler and can't take severe action against him.
I agree with this argument. Some people are very addicted to gambling like its some illness. They cant stop themselves gambling their wealth away. It is very unhealthy for that specific person and also their surroundings. Good gambler must be a person with self control. Otherwise what is the point of making money even?
In my humble opinion people should calculate how much money they will use and how much money will return back to gambling. By this way they can limit themselves pretty nicely.

I can say from personal experience that a good gambler is a person when is capable of quitting when he sees that a strike of bad luck has hit him,if a gambler cannot do this then he really is not a good gambler and all other criteria that follows are irrelevant if you don't have this which is also called self control.

In my last session I saw that I got the bonus round in my favorite slot machine three times after losing (getting bonus round once every 220-300 spins) and not winning anything from it,since three times the bonus round did not gave me anything I took the force to quit despite this being a painful action for me,that is what decisive action is called.

I can only say that a good gambler can control himself no matter what situation he is in. That's the gist of the bolded letters. If you can't control yourself, then most likely your output will be the opposite. Again, it is easy to say but difficult to do since there are really times we can't control ourselves, but we should do this as it is for our own good. But again, nobody is perfect, so there are still instances where you can, like, chase your losses, but it should be at a minimal rate as it can cost you a lot.
You can say that a good gambler can control himself no matter the circumstances.
But the reality is that 90% of those in the world of gambling are not good gamblers. What's more, for those who are really addicted to gambling and have a lot of money, it will be difficult to be able to control themselves.
For us it may be easy to just say or give good advice but it is very difficult to be able to implement it. For example, if we ourselves are gambling addicts and have a lot of money, it will be difficult for us to be able to hear and take advice from other people to be able to control yourself in gambling.
So a phrase or advice is only considered a joke for a gambler and they will never care about it.

It is very true, as long as we have a high financial education we can have a better way of playing in a casino, because we know well the value of money, we will not bet it just to bet, we know that the associated risk is greater than the probability of winning , and that you will only have a total amount of money to lose, but it is money that a financial culture will make you think is exclusively for your fun, like spending it on a weekend at the beach or something like that, if you see it that way I think that the player will be willing enough to be willing to lose money, but always thinking about what this money could possibly have to multiply, I think that's the trick of everything.

That's right, if you have that good mindset treating the amount of money that you are willing to spend is something like treating yourself into a restaurant or a movie theater, after spending you got the satisfaction and the enjoyment that you are aiming, it's all good and you are not at any risk that you will overspend your money.

Unlike with thinking that you can multiply your money and you will try very hard, succeeding, but in the long run you will find yourself losing more money than earning it.

Be diligent in judging or weighting your stand while you are still engaged with gambling activities.

Am I the only one who believes those criteria listed by OP are rather those of an ideal gambler?
I mean, who here has not chase a loss or been moved by possible profit before, while gambling, etc?

It reminds me a bit when I was supposed to study the divine then commandments in religion class when I was younger.
Just like the ideal human being does not exist, so does not the ideal gambler. Still, we do not need to be ideal or perfect, just good.
Sometimes some gamblers intend to chase their losses by trying to play longer than usual.
They naturally think like that and do it because they want to win after losing.
But unfortunately, many of us who don't learn from previous defeats use more money to gamble.
This keeps us from being good gamblers because we forget to control ourselves and don't control ourselves when playing gambling.
So when you want to be a good gambler, you must have control of yourself and learn to manage your money.

Agree, a good gambler takes losses as normally and tries to find his mistakes in that case. Even if he loses, he shows no remorse. Even he is able to maintain his confidence level. Moreover, the best quality of a gambler is that he is able to control himself in any situation. A good gambler is able to take a strong position by controlling the situation from which other gamblers retreat. Remember that we will never find the characteristics of a good gambler by calculating the winnings of gambling statistics. A good gambler may lose temporarily but he will certainly succeed in his long gambling life.

I have a question and came to my mind, could financial education can be a relevant factor for people not to lose a lot of money in gambling, casinos and other games?

Taking this one, financial education will direct you to stay away from gambling. Just my opinion since financial education will lead you to focus with how you can gain money and avoid you to overspend in things that's not necessary, though we do have our own take and having good education on how to value your assets will save you to any financial losses.

Seems that it will depend on how you can really control and how good you are in limiting your budget if in case you are into these activities.

It's all about what game we played, for example in roullete. It's all about risk management, we cannot just all in the money in our bets in red, black, straight, even or odds and many more. A good gambler has a characteristics of good risk management where the gamble can play a long game. It's all about compounding, risk can be manage if you really understand the rules of the game. Thinking the probability is also important because it can be our catalyst or source of idea that can help us to make a better decision.

When it comes to slots, it's all about patience and luck. I recently played in a fancy casino where I win $400 in a game called mighty cash and my bet is just $0.7, the jackpot did not quickly came to me so I play the slots with patience and I think I created the luck that help me to win the jackpot.
The criteria for good gamblers are those who understand gambling is not a good way to make money. Indeed they play gambling like others, but they also think about the risks after playing gambling and will not bet all their money on that day. And if someone like you does win $400, that means you have luck on your side, which is very rare for most gamblers.

But a good gambler can also experience many losses because he loses control of himself at the gambling table, and many gamblers have experienced this. So we must be very careful when gambling and try to be good gamblers.

exactly, mate you are right that a player called a good gambler if they already know what is gambling. Cause if you have a mindset that you must enter and play in gambling in order to earn a lot of money they you will not be a good gambler anymore. Cause we all know that during you place a bet its up to your luck is you will win or not. And not all the time in gambling we will win even though you are a high roller.
It is a mistake if they think they can get a lot of money by playing gambling. But that seems to be the case for many gamblers who were curious about how these people could make money gambling, so they decided to give it a try. And it turns out the results they expected were not in accordance with reality because they only felt that they were losing money from gambling without having the opportunity to make money.

It's important to remember that gambling should always be done in moderation and with a clear understanding of the risks involved. A good gambler knows when to walk away, whether it's when they're ahead or when they've reached their loss limit. Another important aspect of being a good gambler is being able to manage emotions and not letting them control decisions.

It can be easy to get caught up in the excitement of the game and make impulsive decisions, but a good gambler knows how to remain level-headed and make logical choices. It's crucial to have a solid understanding of the game and its rules, as well as being able to analyse the situation and make informed decisions based on the information available. This applies to all types of gambling, whether it's roulette, slots, poker or any other game.
With the temptation of gambling that can make gamblers play gambling even more, we must always be able to control ourselves so that we don't become emotional because of the results we get from playing gambling. Perhaps, our emotions will go up for a while, but those who can control our emotions can suppress them by resting for a while and enjoying the moment of rest. It also helps us control our decisions and see when we must stop and leave gambling before it's too late.

If we manage these emotions, we will not continue playing gambling, especially if we have had successive losses. We will immediately understand that our time to stop has come, and we must leave the casino immediately.

unfortunately, you can only expect such behaviour from gamblers who are not addicted ones, who are more of a seasonal gambler. i am not saying that a lot is not a good gambler but somehow, at one point, we are also guilty of diverting our actions to the straight path of being a good gambler. but if you can do your own check and balance, that's great! not many gamblers can stick to their allotted bankroll for the day, you know what i mean?

The majority of those good and responsible gamblers today came from being addicted gamblers before. These people were being built properly thru their worst and bad experienced and that makes them better gamblers today.

Sometimes, it's really necessary that sometimes, something bad should happen for these people to become good gamblers in the future.

There's no perfect experience at the start and all gamblers should feel the worst to become an established good gambler later on while progressing.

A good gambler should be able to control themselves and not let the excitement of winning cloud lead their judgement. Setting limits on how much you're willing to spend and knowing when to stop is also crucial to prevent overspending.

Moreover, a good gambler should never cause any problems for those around them, whether it be through financial or legal means. And most importantly, a good gambler should be able to accept losing as it is a natural part of gambling and not blame others for their losses.

Good gambler is someone who do really knows on how to control up his money and emotion when it comes on dealing with gambling on which it is really that or a must thing to do when you do decide on spending some dime or amounts of money on your leisure times.Just make it sure that you wont really be that spending too much or simply making yourself gets attached to it because this is where addiction would be mold up.
This is the main problem of most people and this is why gambling business owners becomes even more rich because people are really chasing up on having some winnings or making themselves rich
which eventually ends up on losing almost everything. This is where people should really be careful specially to those ones who are really that tending to engage with it.

~
a good gambler know when to stop
Setting a limit is very important in gambling, setting a lost limit will prevent you to over spend your money and setting a win limit is  also important because in the long run the house got a bigger chance to win due to the house edge ~

As for the win limit, I disagree. To be honest, I can't even imagine how that should work. Say, you won $1,000. Should you never gamble again, or should you just change the house(or, the platform)?

Naturally it is winning that drives you to keep playing otherwise when losing there is no time you could keep playing knowing that you are not winning.

It is not the winning but the hope to win that drives a person to keep on playing.  Often times those who are still in control of themselves stop when they hit big.  So from that it is not really the winnings that keep the player on gambling.

But in a case you have won some huge amount then you would be triggered to keep running and no time one could change the house or platform.

No most players are triggered to stop playing and enjoy their winnings in somewhere/something else.  The reason why the player keeps on gambling is their hope to win or win a big amount.

Naturally it is winning that drives you to keep playing otherwise when ...

It is curious to read "natural" as if the fact of winning were organic, but it is the action controlled of betting, it why we win (lose).

I think it's a matter of focus, the type of game you bet on and the individual.  So, that could consider as having judgment.
