Game state updated and game playableRead carefully. It's important stuff here.PrefaceAll
known pending game state change issues from the years after the terrible plague (1608) until the glorious initialization of the indestructible changelog-based database logic (1613) have been entered to the system. If you have issues that need corrections, the commands are all usable, and the easiest way is to ask the counterparty of the trade to reverse it normally. If the issue is such that admin commands are required, senior admins (councillors) have access to them. We want to help as best as we can, but due to we are only learning the system and the authorization who can do what, it takes time to repair the issues and is a drain on our resources. So if at all possible, fix yours with the counterparty directly!
I am fully aware some may find the Ultima software UI not solid or reliable. There are constantly issues with the display of items balances and "items existing" for instance, and without knowing the backend, it is easy to develop an impression that the balances
itself are not unambiguous. This is luckily not the case. The balances have a fully correct master record (changelog) with no dysfunction whatsoever. But all UI scripts have been needed to be updated and there is a ton of them. We are doing it lean, and skipping quadruple-checking in every thing that is unlikely to cause serious damage even if detected in the live version only (let faulty UI scripts to be detected by players). And, whenever there is an issue that endangers the actual records of the game (such as the previous DB logic), the game is mercilessly stopped and the whole logic rewritten.
Please familiarize yourself to this principle. I already said that yesterday. Understanding it is the key to retain peace of mind and understand what we are doing here.
1. We finally have an untamperable master record which by definition is correct
2. Faulty commands (in the sense of having a command that behaves faultily) cannot cause damage since their operation is detected immediately from the fully transparent log (which has already allowed us to repair all commands, and likely prevents the introduction of faulty commands in the future)
3. Unintended commands (human error causing things to happen that were not intended) can be detected by checking their results and reversed.
4. The UI is for some time still showing wrong values but these are not part of the "state of the world" and also do not affect anything practically. We get rid of them as soon as possible and fix all scripts to provide only right information.
Please, understand the above! I have spent weeks in trying to get the simple logic (used in all the similar systems I have spexed in the last 15 years) through here, but it seems it is not as self-evident and truly I have been biting nails to get the message through Partial list of eventsYear has been set to 1613.

Wine and TS silver coins ordered have been credited. If not enough IC was found, the order was cancelled.
Stone is not yet credited to NewReconstructionCorp.
Companies have needed to pay the minimum annual cost if they had long-term employees.
New gold and silver coins are on the market. We are pricing the bulk of the coins only <1 mil above spot, and they are really rare (15-46 minted each). Check them out.
No land and extra taxes are paid from years 1608 onwards, but they accrue as tax liability, which will be collected as soon as possible.
Commands are available to use.
W1611 and W1612 wines exist and may now be converted out of IC as follows:
Sign in, Go to Agora Marketplace and scroll down to find Category="IC Point". In the listing, click "IC Point" and observe your balance.
If you want to buy W1611, which is now in the market, you can spend IC towards it with a command:
CONSUME IC amount , where amount is the number of IC you want to spend.
1 IC => 6 bottles of this very promising wine. (To keep the confusion at maximum, this time even the town duty is included so only IC is paid!)
We will announce when the offer ends in this thread, after which please do not consume IC as it is not anymore linked to the creation of W1611.
Wine will be credited when the offer ends, I'd say less than a day..Development priorities have again been redirected to allow the bugreporting/featurerequest/prioritization module to come online before other new modules are worked on. We need community feedback on the UI issues - which of them are most annoying or even a cause to believe that the game is fragile (which it isn't) ? We need to work on those issues before it is very smart to invest heavily on marketing.
Lavish gifts have been given to all the active players, including 2 gold coins courtesy to Coinshop, GIN courtesy to Town, etc. There is now an admin module
Active Players, which allows gifting based on activity in the Ultima platform.
