Thats good because the best way to educate people about crypto is in school. It is most likely that students or young people can understand the system well when you introduce it to them. Specially in school whatever thaught there they will absorb like sponge.

Yes. It can be taught in schools. There are many schools where teach about blockchain and cryptocurrency. Teachers teach how to create a blockchain. Blockchain is the good technology.

Bitcoin is rapidly moving in the mainstream, maybe one day we'll see cryptocurrency, blockchain and bitcoin being taught in school, but there are a lot of articles about cryptocurrency on so many popular websites and thousand more on youtube videos, it's the most search niche in the industry, it could only means people really wants to learn about cryptocurrency.

Blockchain technology is an emerging area. It might not have reached alot of global acceptance but with time things will change. Currently courses are run on it to evangelize and educate the public. Check the bitdegree site for some courses

Cryptocurrency has a big role in the future.
Together with blockchain it will be the best to have in the future.
It should be taught in school. In every school as it is part of the financial studies and others like accountancy.
It is better to teach students now and prepare them on the potential that crypto will give the world.

Maybe in the future they can introduce cryptocurrency in school but for now it would be hard because most governments are not into adapting cryptocurrency into their countries. If they could find a way to minimized the risk of being scammed then maybe that would be the right time to teach cryptocurrency in the academe. I think when that time comes where the risk of investing into cryptocurrency is minimal, gain would also reduce.

It's just a matter of time for wide adoption of blockchain technology to take place. Soon the world will be left with no choice . Thus, the time will come for it to be taught in schools.

Indeed a good idea. If the government accepted bitcoin with wide arms, they'll gonna add bitcoin in the curriculum or the school may insert some informations regarding bitcoin in a particular subject. This is to atleast learn something about it and people will now have an easy knowledge whenever we talk about btc.

Hi guys!
I'm pretty sure that many of you have been experiencing difficulty on making other people aware of cryptocurrency and how it works, right? I myself find it hard to explain it even to my own family. Once you mention it to them, the first thing that comes to their mind is that it's a scam. Can't blame them though because the news about crypto scams are always hyped in social media and believe me, even my 70 year old mom has Facebook!

Anyway, I realized that this is the case because there has never really been any formal education about it at all. We knew about it only thru word of the mouth right and we only got to learn it slowly thru experience. This said, I'm thinking, what if it's taught in schools? Perhaps just start with those taking Accountancy or Banking and Finance courses to begin with, then eventually incorporate it to Mathematics subject or whatever in High School? After all, they were able to do that with banking, right? Why not with cryptocurrency? What do you think?
For now it would be hard to integrate cryptocurrency into the academe because of the government resistance. Government are trying to regulate cryptocurrency to prevent it's citizens to be victimized by scam ICOs and fraudulent acts related to cryptocurrency, that is why i think that from the time being they will not teach this at school.

I think this is too early for that. The crypto market is small, volatile and mass adoption is far away, but  Blockchain technology will be implemented in many fields and I am sure it cannot be avoided to be taught in the school as well.

I too think that it is early too for schools to make cryptocurrency as a topic, also even money is not a subject in schools now a days unless you take up accounting. What I think should be prioritize in schools is financial education as it will make the student strive for their financial freedom and in there cryptocurrency can be a branch of its subject.

Someone once said this and i think it is a very good idea. We are now in an era where we need to catch them young. Let them be thought the benefits and value of blockchain technology. As a matter of fact, i told myself that my son will learn about crypto at a very tender age, because in see a great future in the crypto space.
If everyone of us who now know about crypto decide to teach our children and younger ones, it will be of great benefit to our society and might not need much of formal education.

Even it can included to Basic Economics.

Curriculum should be addressed if a school wants to include crypto subject or lesson. I've watched a video that there's a teacher on New Jersey* that started to include and teach bitcoin to his students and that's a very good initiative on his part.

*Not sure of.

I found similar thread: Cryptocurrency is a great way to teach math in schools

I've always wondered why some people are so adamant about cryptocurrency. Even when they see results, they still continue to consider it a Scam. I know a couple of people who think that. I am very surprised how people managed to believe in bitcoin so much when it first appeared that they decided to buy it. They were really smart people.

It's not easy to explain in detail to your own family members. At first they may agree with you or not.If they agreed,it is easy for you to move further. If they get some basic knowledge from school itself as like a mathematics. You can easily explain them in further. Cryptocurrency is the growing technology, it's essential for the students to know about it. Cryptocurrency from school will be the good idea.

It is not something that should be argued about, it is bound to happen either now or later. We are talking about digital currency in a global economy, the world is becoming more and more digital and you think it will not affect the people in it. It will get to a point if care is not taking, huge amount of money will be paid to learn the know how of crypto.
I believe it not a bad idea if it is not in schools starting from now, so that people around our environment will get acquainted with what is on and kill of the bad rumour of crypto. It will also make the crypto market of more standard in value, demand and sales. I remember while on campus, one of my lecturer used about two weeks telling us about crypto, I wished I grabbed then. He made us present papers on it, caused us to brainstorm and question ourselves what  crypto was all about, why is it so important that a senior lecturer is bordering us about it. It was through that means I had a fore formal knowledge about crypto.

So far, this does not make sense because the cryptocurrency is not used so widely and many still do not know exactly what it is. Anyone who is really interested in the crypt, he will be able to find information and ways to earn on it. And those who do not need it will continue to think that the crypto is a fraud.

Yes the time will come in future because the digital currency is booming. A lot of people already use this currency. Hopefully in future it will the main transaction system. So the basic learning should start from school.
this is too heavy, there is no regulation from the government regarding crypto legality as a means of payment. I think it's impossible because the material in the school is managed and managed by the government.
if only an introduction and not a main discussion. school is a suitable place for discussion.
