Pretorius is having a great day, 10 overs bowled with 3 wickets and a 2.50 econ 👏

One last big over to get +200 and then it's time to let the bowlers do their thing. Malinga is going to have to be on form here.
I like how you are trying to defend this low total. It's not just possible if any team play their regular game. 200+ (204) runs are too low to chase.

South Africa just started their inning. Let's see how long it takes for then to chase the total. Please let them lose 5 wickets at least :-P

I am also in doubt that Sri Lanka will win here but after watching the last match performance still I am kinda inclined to Sri Lanka win here. If Sri Lanka puts a decent score probably like 200+ somehow and gives up the same bowling performance then there might be a chance. Also there is also one point to consider that South Africa batting line-up are really struggling to chase a score in this World cup so far.
If you read the body language then I think Sri Lanka is not in a good shape and mentally confident that they will win this match. South Africa is controlling the match at the moment. Sri Lanka is trying to play the full 50 overs but I doubt they will.

Now come to think about it they seem like they are loosing their confidence as you say. Still I am hoping for a bowling magic from Sri Lanka. Perhaps Malinga-Silva again  Cheesy

Sri Lanka need to win this match to save themselves from getting out of this world cup right?. Can anyone bring some facts that right now which countries need how many wins to get qualified to the next stage. India needs 1 and Australia got qualified - that much is only what I know at this point. Grin

Srilanka is all out for 203, it must be an easy win (although I have picked narrow win) for South Africa. If SL can hit some early wicket, it will be hard for SA since their current performance is shit.

I didn't have much time to check over the markets today so just went with something simple:

⚪ SL top bowler: Malinga (3.45)
⚪ SL to win (3.25)
~snip~

I am very confident about the Malinga being the top bowler for Sri Lanka but I doubt the win for Sri Lanka will win. They are struggling right now.

SL is in trouble now, already lost 4 wickets within 104 after 23rd overs. I don't think SL will be able to score 220+, in that case SA will easily win the match although they are so unpredictable these days.
I predicted a comfortable win for South Africa. So I will hope to lose at least 5 wickets in the chase LOL

Guys, Sri Lanka vs South Africa. I prefer South Africa to win. Good performance against England does not mean that Sri Lanka is back. They already lost their 1st wicket however Fernando and Kusal Perera is working to recover the inning.

Malinga was in fine form against England, and with a potential semi-final spot up for grabs i thought they would be fighting hard today. Unfortunately Karunaratne and Fernando didn't seem to get the memo  Wink

I'm hoping that Sri Lanka can keep their heads and build a couple of decent partnerships in the lower orders, if they can get to 225+ they have a chance to defend.

On a side note, India just trashed WI yesterday LOL. I was hoping just to take 26 more runs so that I get 2 points :-P
Never happened :-D

Unlucky there, you almost called it perfectly!  Smiley

I was actually talking about batting order particularly. Those names you mentioned are good but I am talking about including some more who were experienced perhaps like Simmons, D Bravo would have been much more helpful to get a hold in situation where they lost wickets and need to get some runs.

I don't know why they did not use D Bravo as he is also an all rounder just like the Indian team did not take Jadeja. Taking Gayle is a huge mistake as he fails most of the times in such matches where they are under pressure. Their performance yesterday was the worst in WC.

You are missing the point. Firstly, Bravo is not exactly in his best form currently which is why his addition would probably not make much of a difference. Experience is not what they are lacking.

In fact, as I stated, they have plenty of experience. What they are lacking is patience and the ability to bat deep which is their biggest flaw. This is why they will never succeed in ODI and test tournaments unless they solve this issue.

Bravo and Russell could have made a difference. I understand that Russell is injured, but it is also true that some of these West Indian players take IPL much more seriously than the CWC. What they need to understand is that in case West Indies don't perform well in major tournaments, then no one will notice the WI players and give them a chance to play in the IPL.

Well the association responsible for West Indies team aren't paying much for the development of their team so many experienced players are opting out to play for the nation. Right now they are playing with not much experienced players IMO.
Not many experienced players? What the heck are you talking about? Chris Gayle, Shai Hope(Number 5 in ODIs), Brathwaite, Russell(Currently injured), Kemar Roach(One of their most experienced fast bowlers), Pooran etc are all experienced players.

Wi is losing its way in the middle and this is putting more pressure on the coming batsman as required rate is rising and wickets are falling . This gives India almost  a chance to enter the semifinal and to prepare for the next coming matches .
Right now 107/6 Brathwaite gone very poor effort from West Indies batting line up now its Indian bowling time to wrap this very quickly.

Edit:  107/7 Now Bumrah on Hatrick  Cheesy

WI lost its way in middle itself and nobody in the last 5 wickets shows any sign of staying on the pitch or play as much as possible . What they did was just gave the wickets easily and this would definitely be the huge concern for the team and board during this WC.

As expected, they are playing ODIs like T20 matches which is their biggest flaw and something that they need to work on in the future if they wish to become a successful team again. They have a plethora of experience at their disposal. They started the tournament on a high note and are ending it a horrible manner.

As expected the Indian bowlers is wrapping up the West Indies batting line up and only one wicket more to get to wrap up the match, Indies does have the best bowling line up in the entire tournament and probably the best bowling line India and the bench strength is also great, if the batsmen is able to score a decent total then this bowling line up is more than enough to restrict any batting line up, now i am interested to see how India will perform against England who also have a strong batting line up but failed a few times in this tournament already  Grin.
India won by huge margin of 125 which helped them to get 2nd spot with good run rate and also they have one remaining match against ENG of 30th Jun,hopefully India will finish top of the table.

Btw what a performance from Indian bowling lineup. Rattling them with 5+ wickets before 110 score is really something out of my expectations.

Currently for me Ausses New Zealanders and Indians are best bowling attacks because they done more then expections.
