The quality control issues of this miner and the insane price and added tariff tax is a gamble not worth taking imo.

I have some dayun zig z1's coming soon and I'm gong to pair it with Bitmain APW3++ PSUs. My first time using ASICs but the label on the PSU looks like this:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1IRWfMKgP_t-aeW4Mk_T4jNyGnMnQFCMf?usp=sharing

I live in the USA so I have 120VAC outlets. Bitmain's site says it can switch to 120VAC and I also see products with the label stating 120VAC but this one doesn't. Should I stay away from this? Also, the miners work on 120VAC outlets right?

This requires a psu, so AC side voltage on the psu does not matter to it. Only the DC output matters. So normally any psu being able deliver 1200W should be fine, with 120V or 240V input.

But the APW3++ delivers only 1200W when running on 120V, so you are running on limits. I am not sure it’s wise. Maybe others have experience. I got 240V outlets done for miners.

Well the description of the Dayun Zig Z1 says it consumes 1200w so hopefully one APW3++ can power it. If not, I have a bunch of ATX PSUs  to fill that small gap. Does the Zig Z1 allow overclocking and/or fan control?

Whats the Scam about it? I mean, where on that screenshot is the Scam Indicator?

Let me know, I already checked...does not look scammy. Even the price on the site looks realistic...

I think it’s legit. They have their address shown on the contact page. Easy for someone to check out. And it matches the whois dB.

Either way the miner is real.

They claiming existence since 2015. Website doesn't prove it, I think. They don't have TLS certificate registered to their real business. I know miner is legit, but not necessarily you should buy from this website. There are resellers and you can see them there https://www.asicminervalue.com/

That’s true.

Vert fork is only Q1-19, so plenty of time to break even I think.

Don't you think confirmation that Z1 is real - will significantly speed up fork timeline?
I think Verthash - is a matter of weeks, then.

There is no bigger enemy of ASICs than Vertcoin.

Hey, so I just got one of these this afternoon from my Chinese supplier (pretty good price too) but it is LOUD.  I am trying to figure our how to edit the config file to set the fan at 65% since it was only running at about 36 degrees until I can build an enclosure for it.  There appear to be 2 separate files, and I am not sure which I shuold try and change, or HOW to change it.  Any help is appreciated.

Miner.json (importable)

cgminer.config

Anyone know what command line I use?

Currently I see this in the Miner.json:
"stop_lower_fanspeed_in":"100","stop_lower_fanspeed_out":"100"

but have no idea if I just edit that, or something else

Have not seen this kind of settings before, have you tried to adjust both of these to 65%?
Quote
"stop_lower_fanspeed_in":"100","stop_lower_fanspeed_out":"100"

I was trying to look at cgminer commands generally to see if I could add a command, something similar to

Here is what appears in the JSON file.  I am assuming that what that means is that the intake fane is the "in" and the exhaust is the "out".  I am just not familiar with these commands.  Unfortunately I have to wait because I am short a PSU... I have a 1200W platinum HP PSU, with 8 6 pin connectors, and I need 9...  I am sure I could just not run 1 hash board but I have never done that and have some concerns that it would may cause an issue...Thoughts?

lyra2rev2-cutofffanspeedin": "100", "lyra2rev2-cutofffanspeedout": "100",

Sure you can disable one of the hashboard by leaving it disconnected. Disconnect the cable between hashboard and controller board too.

Are you finding both this: lyra2rev2-cutofffanspeedin": "100", "lyra2rev2-cutofffanspeedout": "100",
and this: "stop_lower_fanspeed_in":"100","stop_lower_fanspeed_out":"100"

Have you tried to replace them with;
lyra2rev2-cutofffanspeedin": "65", "lyra2rev2-cutofffanspeedout": "65",
and this: "stop_lower_fanspeed_in":"65","stop_lower_fanspeed_out":"65"

Hi Guys and Girls!

I have now activated automatic ASIC recognition on Powermining.pw pool. This ensures that your miners starts at a much better difficulty optimized for these new ASIC`s coming in these days This ensures that you will get a lot lower amount of rejected shares. We already hava a couple mining with they're Zig Z1`s online  Smiley
