so, what do you think is he expecting and keep in mind, that he wants to announce some new things for dcr?
Dunno that's why I'm asking. I thought the announcement was that he was purchasing on the wall at a given price, didn't realize there was another announcement.

I like to consider DeltaCredits more of a sort of commodity than a currency. A scarce, valuable, and increasingly more rare commodity. Sort of like the "platinum" of cryptocurrency.
Why should you invest in DCR? Well, I presume following the same reason why many people invest in other altcoins- pure speculation. There is no fundamental innovation built into the coin, such as Smart Contracts or Decentralized Services that would render DeltaCredits an appropriate investment vehicle as if it were some tech stock. The main idea backing DeltaCredits is the fact that it is the only digital asset with a steadily decreasing supply- less coins in circulation over time. Following basic economic models and concepts, a decrease in supply would lead to a market shortage, in which demand would have to adjust to make up for the shortfall in supply.
At the end, DeltaCredits should be treated like old Roman coins. Scarce, increasingly more rare, and quite valuable.
