There are no hard dates set, but team is active on discord and whenever updates are ready, they announce them.

According to Discord communication, developers are working on this project, I am not afraid that they would abandon it. There is a big potential in their solution (the whole codebase thing).

Ok I can't really judge that but if you are in touch with them via discord things might not be as bad as they look over here.
