Im sure a lot of people bought at 1200. They are the ones that will sell at 1000, then wake up at 2000 dollars per coin. Those idiots will never learn to buy and hold long term (10+ years) instead of trying to make a quick buck and failing each time.

10 years is a very long period of time for traders that have a lot of capital, it is more profitable with short trade if you have a huge capital rather than holding ut for 10 years and didn't know what will gonna happen

Yup, the very thought of true friends. Indeed we should have to do short term trades when we have only very minimal capital. for if we only imitate the lifestyle of the rich, I assure you that we will not be able to get what they get (the wealth of the rich). Before we rich, then we should be thinking of doing something different things and have a level headed higher than rich people who already get the wealth

At that time I wasn't in the Bitcoin world. I wish I were! At this price it was the good opportunity to make the money. I'm not sure if the price will ever be so high again.  Sad

No, I haven't. But I should have sold at that price, I'm sorry I didn't. The price in the future could go up a bit comparing to current price but I don't think taht it will reach 1200$ again. At least not in the near future.

It has potential to achieve that price in future but no one knows when that time will exactly come, and I didn't buy at that high price but I bought when price was $250 last year.

I bougth around 1100-1200 and sold around 1000-1000  Grin

Lol.  I was like on my way of saying, no one will ever do that only fool ones, and I read your comment.  That was my first impression of course since it is not so wise to buy that bitcoin if the price was so high.  But thankfully you sold it before it became too late.  Just like now where its price is almost half of the price you bought it before.

I think the majority of people sold their Bitcoins at the time Bitcoin has reached 1200$ because otherwise, it should have gotten into a higher price instead. Some people surely did bought Bitcoins at 900$, 1000$, 1100$, 1150$, because bitcoin rose up to 1200$. If someone did buy Bitcoins at 1200$, then he surely did lose a lot of money if he already sold his Bitcoins. If he's still waiting for Bitcoin to rise higher than 1200$ for profit, then he has a lot of waiting to do.

Luckily I hadn't invested a dime in bitcoin around the ATH of $1200. I'd be pretty butt hurt if I had right now.

I'm sure we'll see a new ATH in the not too distant future (year or two) though so it's not utter devastation for those who bought at $1200.

I dont think there are allot of peopel who has bought bitcoins at that moment off course there where a couple of them stupid people but what if the price rises to 100000 each that would be very great,.
Why are you calling them stupid? I dont think it is a foolish to buy something promising like bitcoin anytime. It might be a bad decision but not the foolish one

Exactly, and no one knows what is the right time to buy, as if we buy at $600 hoping that price will rise but suddenly may be it can fall to $400 tomorrow, so that doesn't mean that we are stupid.
calling people stupid when buying at the current price is just not right, what if the one who buy at the current rate need bitcoin to buy something important then?even if you buy bitcoin when the price just $200 it still have the chance to be falling even less

Yeah and no one can control the price of bitcoin and no can predict it too, people invest their money in bitcoin by looking at its potential and sometimes decision may go wrong and its not a big deal.

it depends on why they have bought bitcoin and what they did with it afterwards.
there are many different scenarios:
- if it was bough as an investment to just hold and sell after the rise, then they should have sold it long before it reached $200 and not selling is stupid.
- if it was bought as an investment and they sold at a loss then it is still ok.
- if it was bought to use bitcoin as a currency then it never matters what price you buy bitcoin at, it is always a wise choice.

Is someone buying now? There will always be someone who is buying, so on that 1200 some people also bought coins. I assume they still keep their coins and wait for price to go back and higher. Only like that they cam make some profit from that.
Who knows how much they will need to wait for that, no one knows. We can only hope that it will happen soon.

Are you mad, why they want to wait for the same price to go and then they will sell, after $1200 price it went down very low and now it is back in $600 price so i think if anyone bought at $1200 then surely they would have also bought some coins in low rate and averaged the price and now they will be in profit or before this itself they got profit.

There where people who bought at 1 cent as well so I think it's a kind of equilibrium, I bought a small sum "less than 0.1 BTC" at that price and expected the rise to continue but it got blasted back to $200's at a time, now at $600 so the total decrease in value is not that massive now.

I did not buy bitcoin during 1200 cause if you buy it at that point you would have made a 50 percent loss so i think when it was 1200 lots of people decided to sell which caused it to crash again down to 500 or whatever it was after that. so always when price goes that high sell them all before they crash and never buy them when they are peaking.
