That's way too much, I don't think I was into bitcoin back then. If the price would go up like that again, I wouldn't buy, I would rather sell and wait for the price to dip again. Bitcoin will come down one way or another. Even when bitcoin will reach $1200 some time this year, I honestly doubt that it will stay at a stable $1000, I think it will come down to a stable $600 - $700
I didn't buy bitcoin during 1,200 dollars because i though that it is so expensive and at that time there was no use of bitcoin comparing with this/last year.
I haven't bought at 1200 dollar, because I was to late to know about bitcoin.
But if that ever happens again I think I won't buy it too, because I am sure that it won be stable.
So I will just sell when it goes high and buy when is low.

no i dont bought any of bitcoin when it hit 1200, but i feel kind of happy when it hit 1200, it makes my spirit up

time price of $ 1200, I have not joined in bitcoin, so have not felt that price, I joined in 2013, I never buy bitcoin at $ 700
I wasn't around then. I'd like to think I would've seen the signs but reading through the old threads you can feel the sense of euphoria. I guess a sensible guy would see it for what it was and sold up but I'm not so sensible.
I did not, but I did not know Bitcoin back then. I am not ashamed to say that I would probably have bought some if I had known about it at that time... and probably I would have left Bitcoin in the down.

But I did buy gold at $1500 (and lower). Gold is at some $1070 now. But I count my gold holdings in OUNCES, not US$...

Got in during the bubble when it was 500ish. Didn't buy any during 1200 but wish I had sold what I had

In deed. The price will go up in the future as more people are aware of bitcoin and its benefit.

Yes we need not to worry on the prices of bitcoin if we we are ready to wait for long term. Yes, with capped total coin supply bitcoin is fated to keep on appreciating over time when it gains popularity day by day.

Hey all, just as the title says, did anyone buy bitcoin when it's price was at it's peak ($1200)? And did they sell as it was dropping, or did they still hold on? I personally felt something was happening when it peaked :-/
So, back to the topic. Did anyone buy, and did they sell as it dropped? How much did they lose? Did you feel really really sad? What kind of an emotional impact did it have on you?
I personally know a friend who bought them when they were around $1000. He was too excited about the price inflation and claimed that the prices would further reach new heights of $5000+(idk from where did he got that information), the prices never went that high and so he is still holding his coins and is looking to get rid of them during the next halvening. So, back to the topic. Did anyone buy, and did they sell as it dropped? How much did they lose? Did you feel really really sad? What kind of an emotional impact did it have on you?
You would be pretty unlucky if you did. I personally didn't and I don't know anyone that did.
The $1200 price is just for very brief period. The price above $700 was just for a few days. There was a price spike then.
I have never bought when the price is $ 1,200
