Anyway, there still need to be more developments to curtail the issue of minting tokens to inexperienced developers or scammers in order to address the issue of halted or scam projects.

Its true, because of smart contract of ethereum, almost of altcoins that being created are ethereum based. it is easy and safe to use, which is the main factor that is being seen by many people.

It definitely changed the world of cryptocurrencies and I don't think anyone would even dispute that. There are so many crypto projects right now because of the ethereum platform.
There is no doubt Ethereum has significant effect on the Crypto world, the smart contract platform is a lift for the space, though it has not scale up the way most people were expecting. Another thing is that raising capital for a project has been made simple as A,B,C by Ethereum, Billions of Dollars had been raised using Ethereum platform which makes it possible for us to see so many new interesting projects
