Buying bitcoins during that quick hike from 5k to 10k and spike to 19k was too good to be true in my opinion. That is why I knew that investing is not that wise. I would never invest that expensive. I only searched for more jobs that pays bitcoins and that paid off perfectly and I have sold some during that all time high that is why I just got  lucky I guess.
I just hope people do wait and think first before acting. I won't want anyone suffer from losses and get too hard on themselves.

Yes like most people I also started to invest in December 2017 but I am still in plus so this makes me stay calm. I was quite lucky with Verge, which I bought under one cent and sold for twenty cents on average. I wished I would have a stop loss order in January but since I am confident about blockchain technology in general I think right now it's just important to invest in good projects. But I also believe that a lot of projects will just diminish.

Same. I started investing again in December last year as well and given how the market is at the moment I'm not too stressed out as I'm still in a small profit.

Previously I have realised a small amount of profit from surges in previous years also, but this isn't something I carried forwards into the bulk of my BTC purchase, which is probably a good thing, as I would have been left holding a big bag otherwise.

I actually invested quite a significant amount (to me anyway) in early December, when the price was about $15-16,000 which as you can tell I've suffered a hefty loss since then  Sad - However, I'm so bullish on its long term value, that these fluctuations, be they 70% of 5% are nothing compared to the long term projected value of crypto in general.

if you buy bitcoin at December 2017 I think that time the price of bitcoin is in the higher, so I think if you buy bitcoin at that time and you still keep this bitcoin until right now I think you will get big loss because of that, i think if you sell right now you will get big lost,

It is an undisputed fact that those are affected much by this sudden drop in bitcoin price are those who bought it in December last year when bitcoin was skyrocketing. I understand the emotional trauma you are going through. Nobody will be happy watching his investment losing value like that. I want to encourage you that the downfall of a man is not the end. In June 2017, nobody ever thought of bitcoin hitting $20k by December 2017 and that is the beauty of bitcoin. It takes only minutes for bitcoin price to either rise or fall. Never dump your coin out of fear. Let's keep our fingers  crossed and hope for the best. If you understand that Bitcoin is a long term investment, you wouldn't panic when the price falls within some short period of time. We will all laugh soon
Yeah Bitcoin's might way back 2017 is so great and good for those who sold their holdings at timing where price reaches up to $20,000. Unfortunately to those who bought at that price range are still pain and are still holding and try to survive the struggle. They are still holding because they believe Bitcoins price will bounce back in due time and it will never bring them down. Since I didn't bought on 2017 I am not worried now though I still have small amount of Bitcoins but I will be using it for my daily needs. Grin

No, I dont buy bitcoin last December 2017. If you want to buy bitcoin you should buy it when it is dump at its low price and wait to make it reach its higher value. Investing in bitcoin is for long term holders. Be patience in holding it.

Well, that's the risk of investing on Bitcoin. If you let your emotion control you, you will never be a successful trader. They buy Bitcoin hoping it could rise more. They were wrong. Luckily i already sold my btc to another altcoins before it falls down to $12k so i can get more profit. Sad for those who buy at the peak. They should keep their Bitcoin a little bit more. There's still a chance for Bitcoin to rise again. We are just at the first half of the year. Many things can happen.

That's my mistake. There are many analysts saying that the price will rise to $ 25,000 on December 31, 2017. So I invested a lot of money to buy bitcoin for $ 18,000.

Wow! That must be almost the half of what you invested. Sorry about your loss. This is unexpected. I thought Bitcoin will rise even more this year but it's not. I loss $20k because of this bear market
Hope it recover soon. So i recover atleast half of my portfolio..

Luckily no, I’ve been quite lucky with mine, the majority of my coins I bought in January 2017, I was then able to sell half a bitcoin and recoup my whole investment whilst still holding lots of other coins, that felt pretty good

I strongly agree with your opinion about bitcoin market, and hopefully for the near future this value will go to the moon again as in December 2017 yesterday.

No, in fact I chose that time to sell some of my btc funds and to invest in other crypto currencies.
Now, it seems that I could be smarter and move some funds to fiat but now is to late to change it.
In fact, right now the best decision is to ''hold'' or even buy more bitcoin.

I did not buy bitcoin last December 2017 because the price is too high and I cannot even afford to buy atleast one bitcoin. Those who buy some for sure there is side of their mind that they are worried because of the big losses. But of course if they would still hold it there is still possibility that they will recover that losses.

Someone needs to buy on the top, or we will never get any top, I sold some altcoins  for bitcoins in December, and those coins I sold has turned out to be worthless now.
In long term I still believe we will seebitcoins prices higher than It was in dec2017.
So just keep hodl your expensive bitcoins. In 10 years you might have made a 10x or even more, from the dec2017 top.

I did not buy in 2017 in December, but my acquaintances bought. They have different reactions. One is sad and complains that he has lost a lot. The second - he put his money into bitcoin and suffered for a long time, the third one - he does not feel sad, he understood that he is taking a risk and was ready for any situation. The conclusion is - invest free money, which you will not be sad after. And in case of recovery - they will make you richer

I sold and bought bitcoins in December 2017. I'm still doing that now. Falling prices is the main problem only for investors who were set up for long-term storage. But let's be objective. It has only been 7 months since the beginning of the fall in prices. It is too little to draw any conclusions. Suffers only speculators who are used to quickly make a profit.

I bought around Oct 20017 for the first time, then sold in Dec for some nice profit which I then invested in some altcoins. But very early Jan I sold most of everything. I've bought some in the last month but not much. I think we are going to go even lower in the next month or so and then I'll be buying.
