All those people who invested due to Elon Musk never made sense to me at all, dude is rich that is true but just because he made some good decisions in the business world doesn't mean that he is going to be able to get you rich as well. If you really want to get rich thanks to him, invest into his companies and maybe if you are right about him then he will make the company grow bigger and you will be able to make a lot more money thanks to that.
However, if we look at the crypto world then he has nothing different about predicting price of a coin more than you or me, he is just making stuff up and hopes it sticks. He does have the advantage that people buys what he tells them to buy, but then eventually even those things crash, just look at doge for example.

We've already witnessed many instances where individuals have lost loads of money by investing in cryptocurrencies endorsed by social media influencers and celebrities. It's very important to conduct thorough research on any coin they promote and make informed decisions, Always verify the details and rely on your own research before investing.
celebrities are also human so any advice we are taking from them it is at our own risk, because they are open to mistakes and can also fall victim of advertising projects that wont succeed so instead of putting your trust in a celebrity i would even ask you to do your own research and convince your self if you are to invest or not, have seen celebrities advertise phones or even products they don't use them self's, and you see some project advertised by an influencer with all the hype at the end of the day the influencer might not even invest, just that they were used as public figure for the product and you see people making comments like they are investing in the same project with there favorite celebrity, but it is a very bad idea to consider without doing our own background check.

No but I know a lot of people who have been influenced because of a specific celebrity or rather a content creator in youtube. People like to idolize people and follow what they do just because they think that person is always all-knowing.Quote

Our own due diligence or research will always guarantee a better result, and this is because both celebrities and influencers all work for their own money, they get hired by some of this projects, paid heavily for them to talk about the project to their fans, sometimes, sometimes, some of this projects are scam, but the celebrity or influencer doesn't really give a damn about the legitimacy of the project as long as he or she has been paid.And to answer the question more proper, I did not invest in bitcoin because of any celebrity, but there are some altcoins I've invested in in the past because some celebrity, top ones like Bow wow(a popular musician) was talking about the project on this x account, even partnered with the project, but at the end, this project was a scam, they raised money through ico and ran away, delivering nothing.
So, in investing on any project, (bitcoin aside now), we must learn to do and depend on our own research, and take responsibility of our own decision.
Celebrities, influencers, athletes, politicians and other prominent people won't dictate what I should do when it's about investing.

Influencers and celebrities are somewhat called manipulating factors that encourage people to invest in Bitcoin due to amazing and attractive promotions. But this is not how I got into the crypto space, it was just a friend of mind introducing the forum first and then starting to invest after gaining some ideas and familiarizing the trend. That was somewhat difficult before since not know whom to trust and what is a good and reputable exchange platform to use. It is more on the diggings but now, with the help of these social media influencers and user reviews, it is easy for them. Unfortunately, this also makes people easily get scammed due to following the wrong person because not all influencers are helping people some of them promote scam projects.

We can take investors of Cristiano Ronaldo's NFT collection as an example of how bad it can be if you are following your celebrity and making investments in things you don't even understand. Some investors even filed a lawsuit against him for the money they had lost. I wouldn't blame the celebrities in such cases though, it's the responsibility of the investor to make sure that their money is going to the right place and that they aren't investing in something that might just be shiny on the outside.So, I don't think that it is wise to make investments in anything just because someone you like said you should do it or you do it because the celebrity or influencer you follow has done it, that's bad practice, and this usually ends up making you lose money because you don't know anything about it at all.
What a goofy way to start into something in my opinion but if it kept you here and you're not just a passing stranger that are just trying to keep up with that celebrity then good for you because that would mean that you've found something that's not really easily found for others, the passion for something. Of course, following what your favorite celebrity does isn't a good advice but you got to remember, they don't know you and you don't matter to them, you're better of not doing that if you know what's good for you. I hope that people stop doing this trend of following what the famous people are preaching or doing, not good for you and your soul trying to be a clone of somebody that doesn't know that you exist.

Invest in Bitcoin because you believe in it, not because other people tell you that Bitcoin is the future and you should invest in it. Find out everything about it and how it works and what its potential is in the future. Because when you invest in Bitcoin because you believe other people's words, then when you are in a loss position you will blame other people for the loss and say that Bitcoin is a scam - and many cases like this happen. So first find out everything about Bitcoin, and then you can invest in it.

Invest in good projects and they inreturn they bring profits at our ends. I've never doubted my skills to comprehend more complex tasks and handling them to my very taste. Learning from the mistakes of others. I've promised myself never to beckon on some celebrities or influences that's only in the space to promote some certain crypto related projects. We should have know better, not everyone succeeds in the space, we should be more open and straight when it deals with prominent projects, always focusing on the main goals.

Then they are huge idiots. Following 'what others say/do' is a very stupid way to live. Picking up interest in something because of what others are doing is fine but just blindly following without DYOR is pure laziness and is a recipe for disaster.

Making yourself having that kind of investment decision just because of some influencers or celebrity is something that would really be risky. Why? not all those people who had been suggesting something will really be that telling everything or really simply that knowledgeable. You dont even know if they are really that knows on what they are doing or just simply they are really that going with the hype.This is why if you are really that having those doubts not only just on learning something new then it would really be always ideal that you would be needing up to learn up something more or
verifying on your own via making some more indepth research.

When most of us were new, I think that many of us might have done the same mistake of being gullible and believers of these celebrities with anything that they endorse. But this time, our eyes and minds have been opened and we're not going to rely to any of them just because they became popular in the entertainment industry. It is not a bad idea to take advice from others when it comes to investing, but one should never rely on others to invest. An advisor may be very experienced but still the investor should take a decision after carefully observing his own reviews. I have taken the advice of an investment expert but that advice was in line with my analysis which is why I took that decision. Those who want to invest must prepare themselves. Must know the market well. If a celebrity or someone you know said and manage the investment accordingly, there will be losses. Do your own research as much as possible and then invest knowing the risks involved. Since you will not give your losses and profits to anyone, learn to give importance to your own decisions and not to those of others. But you must prepare yourself accordingly.
I don't know if it's someone else but for myself being in bitcoin it happened because of the decision of several things that happened that changed myself who originally was on the fiat side and hated bitcoin instead turned around by being in bitcoin even though I never once hated fiat and remained in fiat too until now it's just that I'm more inclined to bitcoin for now.
Influencers do influence some people it seems because there are indeed a lot of people who are here because of influencers but in my opinion it just makes the situation more complicated because we are not based on ourselves and instead just expect a situation that is only based on influencers in the end.
