The numbers all seem to be about the same for SHA miners of DGB from feedback here.

GigaBit
3,000 GH/s 50,000 DGB per day
16.6 DGB per GH/s day

Ryven Cedrylle
30 GH/s 400 DGB per day
13.3 DGB per GH/s per day

usukan
440 GH/s 6,000 DGB per day (Digihash with 3% fee)
13.6 DGB per GH/s per day

6,000 DGB is worth (@0.0000006 current price - was only about 0.00000045 when I tested mining) 0.0036 BTC (0.0027 BTC when tested)

1 x S3 on Antpool earns 0.0049 BTC/day

Conclusion - mine BTC - buy DGB with your BTC

This yields a 36% bonus compared to direct mining of DGB on SHA algo

So it's not actually BS as some of the members here have suggested

My sincere apologies if I have upset anybody by questioning this SHA mining of DGB - but this is constructive questioning and discussion - it often leads to improvement by those with the right attitude

Cheers usukan

It's not hard math exactly but I can vouch that SHA DGB mining has been in the tank recently. I have a 30 GH/s Rockminer I use mostly for the lolz and up until last week I'd get maybe 1.5-2.5k/day on blocksfactrory. Recently that number sank to about 400 DGB/day tops.

We know pretty well what the DGB daily SHA256 payouts look like, so now we need to find reliable numbers for the same mining BTC (in order to compare). This is a screenshot of MultiPool's most recent BTC payouts with their profit BTC/GH/day figures:

There's been a lot of big hashers coming in and out of SHA256, that cranked up the diff significantly.

One miner had over 11TH/s for a few days, that was more than 1/2 the pool's SHA power.

Another had almost the same for a long time; went up to 50TH/s for a while!

That said, it's not fair to use DGB's announcement thread to talk mining, I will create a thread in the AltCoin mining forum for DGB Miners Only.

Don't seem to be one and don't feel like going through a million pages of topics.  Grin

Just to set things straight because i think you refer to me,  I dont doubt your calculations/numbers in any means.. I find it very intresting and it's good that you share it.

But this line bothered me:

"I like DGB (and will keep buying from sha mining proceeds) - but too much fluffy lovey dovey bullshit positive posts here - time to make it a serious coin and get to the real business."

The Digibyte community worked hard to come so far and become strong and all of them have been fighting for the goods of Digibyte. We are open to anyone,
Dont just come by and say that we post BS and that we are not serious.

Thank you,

If these numbers hold up, then the Nvidia cards are going to be the hands down winners!

http://asistec-ti.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=26#p75

What numbers, exactly?

The numbers for the mining yield comparisons for the various algos (principally SHA256d and groestl, but the others are well known to fit somewhere in between those two extremes) mentioned in various posts immediately proceeding that post.

Executive summary: given the actual numbers reported for SHA256d mining,  by my calculations, on a per kilowatthour basis, the Nvidia video cards are by far the most profitable.

That is great news since the multi-algo fork was meant to create a level playing field without excluding anyone, and it seems to be working perfectly.

Please, everyone, help to confirm these numbers by posting your mining results: hardware, hashrate, and the average realtime DGB payouts you are receiving on a daily basis.

The only negative I see at the moment is that cpu mining is completely "out of the game", but whether that is something we should really worry about or not is open for debate.

Some have already quite generously posted their data. If you can help by adding to the data sample so we can come up with more conclusive data, it would be greatly appreciated by all I'm sure.

FYou!

yeah why does everyone keep selling their DGB...
i can't buy them anymore !
no more bitcoins left  Sad

I think most of the sells are self trades. Just my ho. Ping pong is played at this moment.

Only fools can fall for that.

The unknown is- what's the planned bottom for current dgb manipulation plan?

After that trial to pump to 100+ sats expected.

endless growth? ... that would a cancer ...

Is the worth too low for you then do something for DGB and buy not only the coin Wink

ok, it was a little tongue in cheek when I posted this before but there's really not much else to it, you just got to keep getting up every time someone knocks you down. All markets are manipulated by someone!

Here, try this as an experiment. Everyone agree not to sell DGB for less than 300 Sat. Anyone selling DGB for less is to be considered Anti-Digibyte and just in it for a quick profit while playing with our ring piece. We buy up all their DGB anyway. Everyone wins apart from the people selling for less. We could go on doing this over and over again eventually pushing the price up to; I don’t know something reasonable like 10 BTC or something. Along the way, our well endowed patrons could distribute some of their wealth to the needy and good causes through the DGB foundation, effectively creating new users and ensuring the propagation of the currency. Hell we could make it the most stable digital coin in the world by just deciding that it should be, if we all worked together. Let’s try to be fair here and say, there are a thousand times as many BTC as there are DGB, so let a BTC be worth a thousand times more. This sets the price at mBTC. Anyone selling a DGB for less than that is ‘Anti-DGB’ IMO! We could then get on with the job of supporting BTC and scaling the whole thing up.

This is not necessary, albeit a very fun thought experiment Smiley I've been holding DGB since ages, bought when it was trading at 110 sat (yes a year ago or so it was trading at that) I haven't sold a single DGB. Imho it's THE alternative to BTC. I got my DGB securely locked away and won't think about selling until we reach Dollar parity. Even then, if that happens I'll keep 80 % of my stash. Why? well because when DGB reaches $1 it's already adopted on a wide scale. This is the true "sleeper" coin if you will. Jared is a top notch dev, but he also has PR and networking skills. Most devs excel at programming, but on a social level? not so much.

There are other promising coins out there for sure, but DGB is one of the safest bets you can make when it comes to crypto in my opinion. It has a proven track record of both technological advantages and non anonymous transparent development. Sure, crypto might die out and it could all turn to dust. But when crypto prevails I know DGB will be among the top contenders for BTC's crown.

It won't happen tomorrow, and I doubt it will this year. But we'll get there, be patient.

It isn't like I disagree with you, I'm not in any rush either but it does appear to me that very few people have any real idea about the value of their DGB.
ps I chose 300 Sat because you would see the mining scene totally change.

One dumper is one dumper some people need the money! soon there coming more buyers Wink

All I can see so far, every trial to push the price up, or simple buy support, ends with instant immediate dump. Still smells like manipulation!

Yeah its a combination of dumpers pumpers traders shitheads and panic sellers nothing to worry about if the  updates keep coming up Cool

yeah me too but................

so why is everyone not mining at the "official pool" digihash? Tried it and price needs to x10 approx before its worthwhile?  Why anybody mine DGB? - just mine BTC an buy DGB?  Please correct my mistakes?

a question,is the officer pool digihash.co fee not 3%?
i check the blockchain,the fee is 4%.

Some people mine just to support the network, but last I checked, DGB-Qubit is profitable for me.

As I said, it's profitable for me, as in, I am making money over my power cost of $0.11 USD per kWh - why would I need another reason to mine?

There is always ways to make it profitable  Grin

Hi Gigabit,

Thank you very much for suporting the Digibyte network!
My Question may sound a little "brutal" but i see in you personal link/website the following.  (http://gigasgaming.com/gigas-gold-2/ )
And with your signature (★Future's Bright with DigiByte (DGB)★ - It's literally a gold mine~!)

Can you share the idea behind this? Would love to know what coin is choosen for the projects and offcourse on first hand i say Digibyte Grin

Thank you!

Thanks for your interest in one of my my projects Smiley

Well, I won't say anything much but visitors will be able to mine for either cryptos, or a variety of precious metals, in a visual interface.

To me, it was hard to visualize Bitcoin mining when I started mining, I'm very visual person so I thought, why not build an actual mining game?

Not only that, why don't I make it profitable for anyone?

So instead of looking at the BitMinter interface all day or what not, it's gonna be more of a Gold Mining setting though and rewardd will be greater than conventional mining but miners can mine with either nothing and/or any type of hardware.  Cool huh?

Lots of work on that but I have a lot of welding work this summer, priorities first.

Gold comes before Crypto... sorry but I'm too busy making history in Gold Mining.  I'll make history in cryptos after.

I suffer from big brain, small wallet... if DigiByte can go to $1 a piece then I could build a lot of things =D

Let's just say I'm not as passionate about cryptos as I am about Gold, so a game has to wait.

It's third in line after my trommel and excavators are built; Yeah, I'm a fabricator too :p

I need about $5,000 to make that project and spent my coin for renovating my shop.

Maybe, crowdfunding could be an option but I'm only one person and priorities first.
