will you make a trade-in for the lancelots or sell them cheaper to all lancelot purchasers?

We'll do a trade-in.

Because, although not announced yet, we'll offer the warranty that if they do not recover the money in 6 months, we will replace them with ASICs that will.

Thanks for the help.  Installing Zadig and running cgminer 3.2.2 solved the problem.

Zadig still shows that I have 2 FT232R USB UARTs and not lancelot boards so I think the trick was changing the driver to the WinUSB driver.

Thanks again.

@ thegoldbug... do you try Zadig?

-Download the latest version of Zadig
http://sourceforge.net/projects/libwdi/files/zadig/

- run the zadig.exe file
-"Options" -> "All Devices"
- now you should see the boards and you can replace the driver to "WINUSB"
- it will replace the driver for all equal boards
- reboot
- run cgminer without "-S comXXX"

I hope i could help  Wink

I've been trying different options (and googling) trying to get my two Lancelot boards to be recognized by cgminer 3.1.1 and 3.2.2 under Windows 8 64 bit.
I installed the FTDI drivers but I'm not seeing any virtual USB ports.  When I plug my two boards into my computer com ports 3 and 4 show up (when I unplug those ports disappear).

All my attempts with 3.2.2 result in cgminer not finding any boards and the winUSB error message.

I'm able to get 3.1.1 to see only one of the boards and that is at the specified com port.  Each of the boards works individually since the cgminer command line allows me to specify one com port.
Here is my current commandline

cgminer-nogpu.exe --icarus-timing 2.5 -G -o http://mining.eligius.st:8337 -u mybitcoinaddress -p 123 -S com3

Any suggestions would be very helpful.  Thanks.

Do you have any plans to do K1/K16 Klondike boards assembly?

We might do that. Still considering.

Hey,

i received my Lancelot batch yesterday and tried to run them on a existing rig with GPU's and WIN 7 32-bit OS with a USB-Hub.
But only 4 of my boards are shown up in the device manager.

I tried:

- to install the virtual port drivers from http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
- every board one by one and 4 of them works with plug&play and cgminer 3.1.1 on WIN 7 & 8 also the USB status LED lights up at the rig.
- the other 6 will not shown up in the device manager and cgminer 3.1.1 and 3.2 - and the USB status LED is not working at the rig.
- the boards get enough power (check light is on and fan is spinning)
- changed the PSU & cable

Will WinUSB via Zadig recognize the boards, even the USB is not "working". *edit - not possible*

Maybe some of you run them with OS WIN, otherwise i have to run them via Raspberry PI.

working one http://imm.io/19G5o

none working one http://imm.io/19G5z

there is a difference in the status USB LED

thank you in advance!

btw. fast shippment from cardreaderfactory - great work blackarrow, good & trustworthy company!

Please show me the math. If you are not accounting for increasing difficulty, then don't bother showing it.

I did the maths, in this thread, even at the time, with no difficulty change and no electricity bill I couldn't see how you could get a ROI in 6 months, (blackarrow was mentioning 4 months at the time).

I don't think you can get anything less than 12 months, and at the current difficulties you might be lucky if not 18 months.

FFMG

I kind of misread your original post. I think we're in agreement that these are a terrible investment if you're looking for positive ROI.
