The primary project deliverables include an open-source MAM FHIR integration code, a MAM FHIR API, as well as a web interface. The secondary deliverables include an IOTA-based logging system, IOTA C# Port, IOTA-based chat application, and open-source Xamarin.
Andre Fialho, co-founder and CEO of Untangle Care, explained the project:
“Our goal with the Untangle Care project is to develop open source IOTA and HL7 FHIR based tools that help to share health information in a simpler, more secure and faster way. Ultimately, we envision a future where individuals have access and control over all health information needed to improve their own health.”
Other Grantees of the Fund
Bytes.io, which intends to create P2P Internet access, received $70,000 from the fund. In the Bytes.io system, users or machines that have extra bandwidth can share them with people who need more of it. It creates an automated interaction network, matching buyers and sellers within a specific radius. The exchange happens through IOTA tokens.
IOTA Industrial Lab Aachen received $50,000 in funding. It offers lecturers and students a chance to connect with industry representatives to research on artificial intelligence, machine-to-machine communication, machine economy, and distributed-ledger-based technologies. The laboratory is currently funded by RWTH Aachen University in Germany.
