Only sell alts when you feel you have made a decent sized profit form them and then reinvest and id versify in newer projects that are way undervalued or just starting and then wait for them to grow. Even if Bitcoin goes up five or ten times in one year, some coins may go up 50 or 100 times in one year. If you can catch those types of coins then it is very good for you then you can sell off some for profits.
You keep the good alts you have, the ones with solid ideas and a good dev team. You can dump the scamcoins.

I think in three , or four weeks. Alts still hot and whales still play games on Ripple. When ripple blackout then will be BTC hype.

Op, you need not to be confuse for there are some good altcoin that has a potential growth in the nearest future which one really to invest his or her money after due diligent such as Ripple, Stratis, lisk, IOTA and the rest of them that has greater future. Never keep all your eggs in one basket. It is good to have a diversified portfolio, which both BTCs and altcoins, since you cannot predict what will happen next.
Guys, need to be careful ALT. If bitcoin breaks resistance and goes up quickly, can greatly unpleasant to happen. Better to take profits.

I think it is not wise that selling all coins for one coin. I know that the popularity of bitcoin looks wonderful, but in cryptocurrency world, it is better if you have at least a few different cryptocurrencies.
Yes bitcoin can make some movement and can effect to all altcoins but if u have long term coins dont sell them just HODL and wait, be patinent for your target and dont be confused. If u want to be sure use Stop Limit.
Dont sell your altcoins just wait their increase, even if bitcoin will start to decrease be patinet or u can use stop limit option, u ll have very big lose if u use this..
